Location, friendly staff, cleanliness
small room, relatively expensive
It is not 5 stars hotel at all. Apartments with lobby and extremely poor brekfirst. Pay 290 US for night. Wrong value for this money.
Breakfast was great!!! The room was always really clean. the facilities was good and staff was always really helpful.
Location was good. Easy to get around.
The breakfast was a mess. To many people and not enough food or seating.
For the price, free wi-fi in the rooms should be provided
very convenient location close to time square. Free tea and nice coffee in the hotel
Comfort and proximity to Metro.
Air con was noisy and v cold when on.
Lovely room, excellent staff, great location.
Better variety at breakfast
The room was excellent. The breakfast was awesome.
The location to Grand Central is unbeatable. It is also 2 blocks from the United Nations. Clean rooms and very helpful staff.
The breakfast though free, had disposable plates/cups/utensils. An incredible amount of waste everyday.
Front desk is very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean.
Breakfast is a bit common.
The staff was great, even loaning us umbrellas when it rained unexpectedly. Breakfast was a big plus and the room was very comfortable. The location was convenient but a little off the beaten path and near the UN, which we loved.
The A/C was hard to adjust, and we ended up actually getting cold at night, turning it off and on as we needed to. We did report it to the staff when we checked out.
Very clean hotel, nice location, good quality for the price you pay.
The staff at the night is not so nice
Breakfast was kept fresh, constantly bringing new items. Elevators prompt. Plenty of room for eating breakfast. Free coffee all day available. Were it not for front desk staff rudeness I would have rated staff Excellent.
Front desk staff not welcoming --confronted me at check in about possible double booking rather than asking me about it. After 9+ hours of travel and having no idea there was a problem it cast a pall on my first day there. No final bill ever presented--they held my credit card hostage until they resolved the booking issue. I was told I would get an explanatory email and a final bill (they go green without paper copies!) but all I knew was what was charged to my American Express account. Not helpful on local sites. Were told it was "unlikely" we would get a taxi from in front of hotel when we had observed others doing so and in fact we did so 3 out of 3 times!!
Location, location, location, 1 1/2 blocks from Grand Central Station and within walking distance of Time Square, MoMA, even Central Park if you are willing to walk. Quiet, good breakfast, nice beds. Hard to beat.
The small downstairs works when the staff of the day make it a nice place to be. Mostly we had John there, who was a wonderful resource and a friendly face in a sea of faces that defines NYC. However, if the staff is not friendly (2 of the 5 days), then less fun to be there.
Great breakfast provided. Room was clean and up to date. I will probably stay again when I need to go to NY.
The construction going on. The jack hammers started at 7AM and was heard on several floors as I had coworkers in the building as well. I hope the construction is done.
Excellent staff, thanks a lot for the help provided during the stay ! Especially from the 26th/27th May night reception clerk to recover my phone. Helpful and professional !
The staff was courteous, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. I had a special weekend planned for my girlfriends' birthday And they made it even better. Erica took care of everything and even offered to get flowers to my room while she was on lunch. They were awesome! You won't be disappointed when you stay.
Everything was great
Very over priced at over $400 per night.
The staff were excellent; friendly and professional, unlike the other hotel we stayed at on the same trip. The rooms weren't huge, but used their space well and were immaculate.
Wifi for only 24 hours is not helpful, especially if we had stayed longer. In Europe, free wifi is pretty much standard, and I expect it in the USA as well, especially in a global chain like Hilton. If the website says free wifi (which yours does) it should mean it. Also breakfast was served on disposable plates and cups, which seemed cheap and also very wasteful. Some fresh fruit and more protein would be good.
Location Enthusiasm and help from staff
Breakfast room was cramped with people and it was difficult to find a spot. Buffet was becoming quickly empty and re supply was some time slow
The hotel is nice and conveniently located. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Generally I would recommend this hotel if you get a good deal or if location counts (it is close to the UN for instance) or if you are not too interested into interior design because there is none.
The decor of the lobby is common, same with the breakfast room. The breakfast is ok, but don't expect any "healthy option" (like fresh fruits or ham), moreover it is served in plastic cups...
Almost everything. Bed very confortable.
Poor breakfast choice. Freezing air condition in the breakfast room.
Small rooms for this price.
