-Staff was excellent - Location - Clean - Coffee available all day - Breakfast average but convenient
-Very small bathroom - Shower door leaked water all over bathroom floor - Construction woke us up at 6:00 a.m.
The location of hampton inn was perfect and close to everything! Our trip was amazing
Location Free breakfast Friendly Staff
Tiny Room Noisey neighbors Slow elevator
Perfect location and breakfast
I loved being in the area of Manhattan which was very central. The bed was so cozy, the staff was helpful, calm and friendly. Free cookies each night, nice touch.
How close the hotel was to Macys
A lot of building on the same street and men sleeping out under the scaffolding. Felt quite unsafe when coming out of the hotel and turning right to Irish pub etc. Went this way once and felt so uneasy we didn't go this route again.
Small room Only 2 elevators
the location and breakfast
Breakfast in disposable dishes
Clean, very comfortable bed, breakfast included and better than expected. Good location for tourist spots.
Building work going on. Not cheap but very reasonable compared with other hotels in the area.
Friendliness and efficiency of staff Location in Mid-Manhattan Breakfast Cleanliness
Bathroom could do with a few hooks to hang clothes Wardrobe (closet?) should be higher: I could not hang my trousers full length (my height is 1.72 m, quite normal I would think)
Excellent value for money - the staff at the front desk was actually welcoming and friendly (!). Room is on the smaller size but more than adequate. Flat panel TV, work desk and USB outlets on the night stand. Free WiFi is limited to three devices and throttled to ca. 1.5 MB/sec. - good enough for business. All in all for $ 116.00/night in Manhattan a hell of a deal.
Currently (October 2014) there's construction going on next to the hotel. Ask for a room facing to the rear otherwise the cement trucks will wake you at 7:00 AM sharp...
The two double bed hotel room was smaller than most bathrooms out there. The staff were extremely unprofessional and rude at the front office. They swiped my card twice and exhausted my limit and left me hanging. They swiped 1500 dollars where they needed to swipe 787 dollars.
- Great location - Quiet even with a room on lift area - Spacious room and bathroom - Included breakfast - Friendly and efficient staff
- City building works very close but activity time frame is respected so we don't have been disturbed during night.
We had 4 great days in NYC - the Hampton Inn Madison Square Garden provided easy access to Penn Station and was within walking distance to most mid-town hot spots. Hotel had a great complimentary breakfast, good coffee and very good cookies. All members of the staff were very helpful, friendly and never too busy to provide assistance. They also provided free drink tickets to a nearby bar. We ate dinner at Uncle Nicks Greek restaurant on 8th and 29th and also tried the Eatily - both were really good. We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we visit NYC. B/A/D
There was not one thing not to like.
Location and service was great
good service tasty breakfast great location clean rooms
no possibility to open to windows for the fresh air loud ice machine next to the room door
Major construction site next door didn't bother my sleep at all; you could only hear it if you sat outside in the morning. Everything else great.
Typical mass-produced breakfast with plenty of styrofoam.
Great location Friendly and helpful staff Good breakfast selection
Lift waiting time
Very friendly staff. Comfy beds. Fantastic central location. Free wi-fi. Immaculate room. Powerful hot shower. Choice of complimentary coffee in the dining room all day (decaf, strong or medium) -easier to take to your room than to use the in-room coffee machines. Lots of choice at breakfast.
Plastic cutlery and disposable plates at breakfast.
Rooms ok but very small.
The location was off 7th avenue were the homeless sleep so you didn't feel safe. When we arrive the building was engulfed in building scaffolding. We could have served the men on there with coffee through our window. The 2 elevators were used to ferry staff from floor to floor causing major queues on all floors for the guests who wanted to use them. They advertise a 100% money back if not satisfied however as the manager stated the building work wasn't part of the hotel and therefore didn't come into this offer. We moved to another Hilton at Times Square for the same price. I wouldn't recommend to stop here even if there was no building work as the staff are rude and certainly not a Hilton standard.
location access to transport friendly reception/staff
very cramped limited service/facilities given price only 2 lifts for 19-storey hotel
Good location, decent breakfast
Small room as expected
The Cleanliness and friendly staff
The plastic knifes and forks at breakfast. the paper plates and the fact the eating hall is very small. it was chaos in the mornings.
Staff were very helpful and polite . The facilities were good and the free breakfast was excellent . The rooms were very clean and cleaned every day .
The only negative point , we found the rooms were quite small but we were travelling as a family of five with 3 teenage boys .
