This being my first time staying at a hotel at JFK, I always am apprehensive. When we were first picked up the music the driver was playing was loud and disconcerting. It was hip-hop music. Here, we had just come off an international flight, jet lagged and tired, and I have to suffer that music all the way to the hotel. It left a TERRIBLE first impression. However, otherwise, I was very satisfied with the staff and facilities
Bed to high. Old decor and very few add ons. Mo food, porters, or any other upgrade. True if you wanted to walk to a nicer hotel they were availabe. I would have been much better staying at the attached hotel for an additional $30. I will not stay at Hamptons again.
Nice location if you are going to fly to or from JFK. Clean and nice, and with a shutlle bus to the airport
Rooms where renovated and clean Although the staff member made a mistake in charging me twice for the room the collegue was very helpful in correcting this mistake.
Got a smoking room when i was travelling with a 2 year old but this was more the fault of booking.com. They could not switch rooms because the hotel was booked. The breakfast was terrible. There are no facilities for kitchen staff to cook, only reheat pre-cooked food. Styrofoam plates and plastic knives and forks used for breakfast. I was charged twice for the room.

Transit hotel,clean,non-stop cofee,tea,water in the lobby; coffe-tea maker in the room; free shutlle bus to airport in the morning every half hour until 2pm and after 2 pm every hour.Good breackfast. Monitor with flights schedule in the breackfast area.
Far away from any ground transportation (metro,buses), taxi around 60$ to Manhatan.Not touristical zone.

Not enough parking, and having to pay to park.
The morning of my departure I made my way outside for a shuttle to the airport along with two pilots - as the pilots get in the shuttle and driver looked at me and said "no just them" and put his had up to motion for me to stop.. I found this to be pretty rude. I walked back inside and asked for a taxi where the manager was standing, because I was concerned about missing my flight and didn't even want the shuttle driver to take me anywhere then.. The manager did give me a comp tax ride, which was appreciated. She is inform me that the shuttles only leave every half hour.. And the driver as that time "was doing something different." This was NEVER communicated nor was the schedule of the shuttle.. I enjoyed my stay at Hampton JFK but at 730 in the morning I felt their rudeness started my day off on a bad foot.. The shuttle driver should talk to guest with a little more courtesy.

AC noise in the room. The AC is placed just over the head (room 1105).

* Room smell: smoke. * Some mentally-ill-looking person roaming around. * Staff respectful, but not really empathic. When I said, look, I don't like this. If the person bothers my family, I will not pay. This is Hampton's policy. She said, you're welcome to leave now. It was 10 pm, came from an intercontinental trip!
The shuttle service was great.
Booked a room for 5 adults, however, only 2 double beds in the room and there was no space for a rollaway bed.
