I was in rm 105 next to the elevator and the front desk and I could hear the elevator all night
Location - the seaport is an awesome place to grab dinner and a happy hour drink before walking to the subway to head downtown. Steps away from the Brooklyn Bridge. Also walking distance to the financial district, china town and Ground Zero. I traveled with my 75 year old grandmother and we loved the proximity to these downtown locations and the ease of walking a couple of blocks to catch the subway and head uptown. Free breakfast was nice and a good way to save a few bucks. Free coffee all day too! Staff - very friendly and knowledgeable. They even stood out in the rain to get a cab for a number of guests. Our heater was broken and we called down and it was fixed within the hour.
This hotel was amazing and the staff was even better! I can't say enough great things about them. The room was great, the view was great (the Freedom Tower) the location was perfect - right next door to the Brooklyn Bridge and the Seaport area. Close walk to Wall Street, Battery Park, Soho, ChinaTown...Subways close too. Great Market - Fulton Market - close for all shopping needs.
The breakfast was soso which was ok and nothing really to be negative about. The rooms don't have anywhere for you to unpack and put your clothes- which I am sure in New York is very common...No reason not to stay at this Hotel...We will be back again!
The staff was very friendly. Brooklyn bridge not too far.
So noisy! Was placed in a room close to the lobby and couldn't sleep all night because of people talking, yelling in the lobby. No interesting restaurants close by.
Price was decent for the Financial District.
Gave me a room right off the lobby -- You could hear the staff goofing off during overnight hours, vacuuming, and there was very loud equipment being moved around. Had to sleep with my iPod on. I also saw there were rooms in the basement. Ask for an allocation to a higher floor.
The location was good for what we wanted to see and easy access to the subway.
Location not far away from Fulton station, free breakfast, free internet, comfortable bed. Room on "cellar" floor has outside area with chairs.
Noises from the corridor, proximity of Brooklyn Bridge repair works (will end one day),
The staff was wonderful--helpful, accommodating and friendly. Breakfast offered good choices, and warm cookies available inn the afternoon were a nice surprise.
Expensive compared to similar accommodations in other cities, but so is everything else in NYC. Construction right outside our window interfered with sleep in the early morning.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was great.
Solid location, not too expensive
Half of the stuff was not friendly towards us. Breakfast area is way too small to accomodate all the guests and they didn't have enough food in the last hour of breakfast. Some kids were running around the hotel and knocking on the doors and laughing around 23h.
Good location, clean room, grab and go breakfast
Street noise, parking $5.00 more than quoted
Close to the waterfront and Brooklyn bridge where there are some interesting crafty type shops and unique individual eating/drinking places like Fresh Salt. Walking distance to all down town sites.
Not very close to a subway.
I came very early for check-in (8 AM) and was planning to just drop of my suitcase in their storage but they already gave me my room and I was offered to breakfast! Free of charge! Never had such good service!
Breakfast room is a little small in high season but breakfast is good.
LOVED THE STAFF, SERVICE, and ROOM!
I liked the location.. The good was good... The bed and pillows were awesome.
The first room smelled so they moved us and the second room wasn't so bad... I think it was a mildew smell from the air conditioning.
One male desk employee was Rude at check in.
The location and staff were excellent
The view from my room was onto a construction site. The construction is due to be completed in mid 2015. This said, I will stay at this hotel again when visiting NYC.
The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. WiFi was stable. Breakfast had quite a good selection.
Construction in progress next to the hotel. Very noisy from the street. Breakfast eating area was small. You need to have 2 x room rate money on your card - hotel blocked money on my credit card 2 times: the day of check-in and the day of check-out and didn't unblock the first transaction themselves so I had to call to my bank to do it.
Good location downtown near a few restaurants and bars and the Brooklyn Bridge. They validate your parking for a discount at the garage across the street. Reasonable breakfast. Coffee always available.
Hard to notice the entrance especially if you are driving.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had to stop the car briefly in order to unload and check in and they took all my things to the room while I went return the car. Breakfast is great! Ice machine and drinkable water on 4th and 7th floor helps a lot! It's my second time in the hotel and I will return next time!
Maybe walking 5 to 10 minutes back to the hotel, after a long day, despite it is quite reasonable.
The front desk staff was way beyond helpful. They are your most valuable asset. Always friendly, helpful and professional.
The slow elevators and many problems with the keys not working.
Great front desk people -- Carlos, in particular, was helpful to us during our two day stay, and always cheerful.
The staff was exceedingly helpful. The room was a good size for a NYC hotel.
The staff was fantastic - I had some problems with the booking (thank you Hilton IT systems) but all issues were handled swiftly. Then the staff changed our room for a better view/less noise. I liked the hotel breakfast and morning coffee so much, those are so delicious! And it is needless to say the hotel's location is perfect for tourists.
There is a construction yard at the back of the hotel, so staying in rooms X01, X02 (river side) is tough. However the staff is kind enough to change upon your request for a better room (Freedom tower side)
