The main part was wonderful. Friendly, helpful staff and very clean in the lobby
I did not enjoy looking under the bed trying to find something and to my surprise there was so much trash under the bed it made me uncomfortable to even sleep on the bed itself.
Everyone we encountered was friendly and hospitable. Great breakfast! Walking distance to restaurants
Pay for parking. Needed extra towels and it took a long time to receive them.
Clean well decorated Good breakfast
Noisy room Then was put on floor with wedding guests who were talking outside rooms all night
Had a smoke alarm with a battery that was going dead and beeped all night and kept us awake
Everything. The only thing I wanted to eat when I was in Albany was a Ciderbelly donut. I walked down there at 7am and they were closed. I go back to the lobby to get coffee and omg, they had a feature with the local Ciderbelly donuts on the buffet. I nearly lost my mind!!!
Unfortunately, our stay was perfect for location to Times Union Center but our room faced the front of the hotel and the Parking Lot was filled with after hours bar patrons and noisy, loud activity till 3am! Our adjacent rooms on our floor also had a few party goers.
The bedding was a little too warm
I was able to book easily, and the price was good for what I was expecting. The hotel staff were trying to be accommodating, but lack of experience and decision making power left them inadequate.
Booked two rooms for 8 guests. All guests were travelling in seperately from out of country. None were allowed into the rooms until I arrived. Some had been waiting hours. One of the rooms only had a Queen sized bed. One person had to sleep on a spring-filled cot, and one on a pull out bed with what looked like urine stains on the mattress.
The Hampton Inn & Suites are generally nice hotels in my optinion. You can stay there always due to good service, nice rooms and good locations (when in Downtown). We stayed there for a night and enjoyed our stay. The check-in was fast, the staff at the frontdesk was friendly and helpful. Parking is possible around the corner (open air) for around 13-14 USD overnight. There is a security all the night. The rooms were treny, the bathroom clean and quite big. The location of the hotel is great, because you´re in downtown within some footsteps. WIFI worked excellent and the breakfast is included in the room rates. I´d go there definetly again!
Good breakfast Clean room Large screen TV Good Internet speed
No utensils, no plates Only a sink and a Microwave
Paying for parking. Messy breakfast area.
Great staff! Clean room. Breakfast was good, we got to breakfast late, but, they restocked everything! Good experience!
Overprice for parking. Housecleaning kept knocking on our door, even after we put the "do not disturb" sign on the door! She didn't know check out time was 12:00! Would not walk around the neighborhood at night!
The staff were always very helpful. The hotel was well situated and it was also clean.
Cleaniness was present. I didn't like the fact that I was charged $14.00 for parking for a one-night stay. The staff wasn't that accommodating when I was looking for information about the hotel that I couldn't find in the room.
This was a very nice and inviting hotel - very clean and a very well presented lobby. The room was clean and comfortable as expected and the wifi worked perfectly. Breakfast was very good, served in the surroundings of the lobby - a very nice area to enjoy this. Added to which there is a bar/ restaurant on site which we used as this was so convenient. The staff were pleasant and polite throughout.
Costs $12.50 to park your car overnight. This is the only hotel Where I have been charged for parking so far on my trip - disappointing. The other negative for me was the location. My kids are 11 and 8 and we like to walk out and find somewhere to eat, but all we could find nearby were bars to eat where they weren't allowed. This was the area the hotel staff advised me to go for something to eat - so we ended up back at the hotel to eat.
Good location, comfortable, clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff
The room was clean and very appealing!
I did not like the parking arrangements ,its advertise as free, but is false advertisement as on my way out..I was being prompt at the gate to insert a credit card...not satisfied about this, which I did not insert it by the way..also when returning the room key..the front desk did not inform me about parking arrangements n or did not ask me if I had a vehicle in the lot..so I walked out n later had to return back in to retrieve my car keys ,then second time I had to reenter to let front desk know that am unable to get out because there was a vehicle blocking me from leaving parking spot...
Extremely helpful service by Wallace, went out of his way to show us where to go for dinner
Plastic plates & cutlery for breakfast Poor breakfast selection
Valent parking on arrival. Helpful staff. Free breakfast. Clean room.
Need a bench outside to sit and smoke. Need better toilet seats. Make sure AC has clean filter.
Huge, well appointed room. Nice staff.
Some guy hanging around the entrance trying to sell us DVDs when we arrived to check in.
Great location, in walking distance of Albany downtown district and the State Gov complex, with its great architecture. Breakfast better than average, altough still served in plastic disposable dishes.
Air conditioning was a bit difficult to adjust initially.
Very nice location in centre of city. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very friendly.
there is no swimming pool
