The location. Clean and large suite. The breakfast. Not very noisy (we didn't hear the noise from the fire station due to the location of the room.
The sofabed of the suite, not comfortable at all, at least for 2 adults. A third real bed would be better. The price (expensive when you add the taxes which are high in Chicago). I think you can easily find a similar kind of place in Chicago, less expensive, to sleep 2 adults and 2 teenagers more comfortably.
Lots of re-stocking at breakfast so it didn't run out.
Central location Recommendations from staff Lou Malnatis Pizzeria round the corner!
Abruptness of staff, just the Chicago way; i think.
The staff was wonderful! I had to have an application for a rental property scanned to complete the process. Mr Damian Cantrelle was a blessing.
Stayed in many hotels over the years nothing REALLY stood out to me. Nice hotel nice room. Arrived 2 hours early room was ready. Like the complimentary breakfast that changed slightly every day. Pool, whirlpool, sauna, Small exercise room and an outdoor patio with view of Trump Tower
It is true you do hear a whole lot inside and outside from your room. Personally I was able to deal with it without a problem. My room was right in front above the entrance on Illinois. Heard every siren while I was awake but nothing woke me up. Not much to complain about.
It was really close to everything
On the weekend the breakfast ran out of stuff you needed more staff I the breakfast area. They were working really hard, but they needed more help.
It was a good all round hotel in a good location with helpful staff.
Nothing too much wrong with it really. The pool was small and the roof terrace poor, we had a suite with no crockery, cutlery or anything else. That apparently is the norm. But it was a good place to stay.
Bed was comfortable and cleaning service was very good. Location was exellent.
Bit run down. The breakfast was nice, but not good quality of food or coffee.
Vert friendly staff
They put us by the elavators when people used them we heard them in are room
Great location. Great room. Great price. Great staff--friendly, helpful, and efficient. We were less than two blocks from the Grand-Red station, making travel through the city super easy, and we were just a few more blocks north of the river, making walking super pleasant. There were lots of restaurant options and the neighborhood was safe to walk around at night. The room was HUGE and comfortable, with a kitchenette, to boot! A hot breakfast every morning was also much appreciated. And the staff were truly great. We needed to check-in early, and when we called from the airport to ask if the room would be available, they ensured it was ready by the time we arrived.
The pool patio needs more comfortable chairs and some ambiance (umbrellas or potted trees, for example)--a minor issue to fix but one which would make lounging on the patio more comfortable. The only real "problem" with the hotel is that it is located right next to a fire station. There were ambulances and fire trucks leaving at all times of the day and night. So, if you want a serene location, this is definitely not it.
It's a great location. Only a block from a subway stop and within walking distance to the Mag mile. The breakfast area is large and has a nice variety.
The valet parking is quite pricey. Avoid it If you can with a self park or take a commuter train into the city.
We would like to thank the hotel for allowing us to make a late cancellation after our flight from New York was cancelled due to bad weather. The staff were extremely helpful and particularly welcoming when we finally arrived.
Plastic plates, cups and cutlery for breakfast are just awful and so bad for the planet!
The free breakfast was good. Lots of variety. Staff very accommodating. When we needed directions to tourists sites, they had them already printed out !!
The location was great and had no problem finding the hotel. Maybe that was my first mistake finding it.
The valet parking couldn't park my vehichle, so I had to park in a lot 3 blocks away from the hotel. I booked the room on-line and the room they gave me was located adjoining the elevator shaft. Sounded like a roller coaster starting early in the morning (6:00am). Air conditioning was not effective! Probably why I got a discount on the room. Oh......Check your bill with the online confirmation. They overcharged. If I would not have compared my email confirmation with their paper bill on checkout, they would have overcharged me quite a bit. They did correct the charge, but my wife and I wondered how many times that happens and people fail to check the fine details of their bill. I will definitely try another hotel when I travel back to Chicago.
treatment was discusting by the hotel staff upon arrival because we had booked through booking.com they were not obliged to accommodate us .we were informed no cot was available because of fire code .we were led to believe 5 persons could be in the room but not so .my 69 yr old sister slept on floor ..and advised not to book through you again .it was atrocious treatment
situated in the center; kitchenette; spacious room; very good beds
The noise pollution from clubs, sirens, even our next door bedroom made such noises we had to complain 3 times to the duty manager.
The facilities staff member, Silvia, was excellent. She was very patient and did a great job with my room. The bellhop members were also very helpful when I was leaving. I was able to leave my luggage, explore the city and get assistance with transportation to the airport. Ines Cruz, Reservations Manager, was also very helpful in sorting out my bill as she was already familiar with my rates and needs.
Some of the staff were not very friendly and did not make an effort to be friendly. There was a mix up with my bill. There was no spa and there was no attempt by the staff to efficiently direct me to the sister hotel to use their spa service. The front desk staff are not all on the same page/aligned. I had to wait for one person to arrive who knew about a service offering than the others. What would happen if that person left the company or transferred?
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
loction, staff, breakfast, beds - everything was great!!!!
The rooms were nice, large and clean.
The all day tea and coffee offering was always lacking tea. We had to keep asking for the tea bags to be replenished.
Location was prime with excellent rooms for three. Value for money is very good considering the price of downtown hotels.
Sometimes a little loud noise coming for near train station, but absolutely tolerable.
The staff was especially friendly with our kids and were eager to make our stay comfortable. The king suite worked well for us and our two young children. Everybody slept great. The location made for easy access to seeing the city sights on foot, bus, or subway/rail.
There is a fire station across the street, so you will hear sirens.
