Score from 156 reviews Excellent
Breakfast, free coffee, close to Metro and many resturants
Noise from a fan in the heater
The hotel is two blocks from a Red Line L stop, and only four or five from all the shopping on Mag Mile! It is surrounded by a variety restaurants, had an excellent free breakfast and a friendly staff.
The pool and hot tub were not the cleanest.
Location, breakfast and wireless
Staff was excellent, the location was ideal, walkable to so many great places
Street noise was awful, even on the 10th floor
It's a lovely place at a good location. The hotel's staff are really helpful people as it was my 1st time in the city. Breakfast was great with different varieties for each day.
Most of the single rooms do not have kitchenettes.
Perfectely located to set up business lunches/dinner at nice restaurants. 15 mn drive from Mc Cormick center
Noisy sound of the firemen and police cars but not much to do about it in the US generally speaking...
Location and comfort
So close to Fire Station but honestly that wasn't a bother at all, it must have been a slow night.
They overcharged my credit card incorrectly 3 times and did the same to two of the people I was staying with. NOT GOOD!
Warm reception staff, clean and well located.
Hotel is somewhat dated, and clearly feel that it is not bright and sparkly..
Great location, very clean, comfortable and the two-room suite we had was very spacious. We found it to be very quiet (our room was on the 10th floor). The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were wonderful after the cold days out sightseeing. The breakfast was very good and well maintained.
The location was great.
Customer service was not the best. The staff was very rude.
Location was perfect, everything went well, no issues
The price of parking was very overpriced considering we were guests at the hotel getting a similar rate to all other individuals using the parking not staying at the hotel.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. Close to everything we wanted to see and do.
no frig and no microwave even Motel 6 has these in the rooms
Efficient elevators. Friendly staff. Easy in and out. Convenient walking distance to many attractions.
Couldn't get our six rooms on same floor. Breakfast offering was not as good as expected. Embassy Suites does it better.
Finding a comfortable, spacious, affordable, clean, updated suite for a family of 5 or 6 in Chicago is our challenge every Christmas, let alone three rooms for our group. Hampton inn by far is the best all around option we have found. We will definitely be back! We had a suite with two double beds in a separate bedroom, nice size living room and kitchenette. Although we did not rent the room next door our room had a door that connected to it, so it seems there is an option to expand our suite to include another bedroom and bath. That is awesome for families traveling with younger or older kids! The included breakfast was the usual fair, plentiful and good. They have the most seating available that I have seen at the included breakfasts, so no juggling your bowl of Cheerios as you try to find a ledge to place your cup of coffee. Did not use the indoor pool, but it looked nice- another plus for families traveling with young kids. My son used the smallish fitness center, but it got the job done.
Could use some dishes, silverware and glasses in the suites. Would like a door between the bathroom sink area and the bedroom, so one person could get ready without disturbing those sleeping right there in the bedroom.
My daughter and I had a great say celebrating birthday and holiday, the location was perfect for all shopping, excellent restaurants close and the theater! Free WiFi was a plus!
elevators alittle slow, but still OK
Location Friendly staff Quiet room "away from the fire station". - note there was still some outside noise, but it was continuous from the opposite building's air con. It could be easily blocked with ear plugs. I am a very light sleeper, but I got sleep. Decent breakfast.
"Quiet rooms" still had adjoining doors, so there is a slight lottery with if you get a noisy family next door (as happened on 1 night of my stay)
Large suite, great position, personnel very helpful and nice
Breakfast can be improved but it was good anyway
Very convenient to shopping and restaurant where we had Thanksgiving dinner. Also 4 blocks to end of the parade route. We were greeted warmly two hours before check-in and our room was ready. Excellent breakfast with many options. Fresh fruit bowl especially appreciated. Price for holiday week was very reasonable.
Not a thing
location staff free wifi
I booked the more expensive suite as I wanted a "kitchenette", unfortunately, that means that they only give you a microwave, with no cutlery, plates or glasses! What on earth is the point in providing a "kitchenette" with less facilities than a standard hotel room?? Even a normal hotel with no cooking facilities provide glasses and not horrible paper cups! I felt like I was living in a hostel, not paying nearly $300/night for a hotel. VERY disappointing and it all felt rather miserly of the hotel, especially for the price! I mean c'mon! at LEAST give guests a glass to drink from. Also, some guests don't drink coffee, so a kettle would be good so ones water and tea doesn't taste of coffee!
Nice room. Tasty breakfast. Helpful front desk staff.
$55 to park the car.
The room, parking and breakfast.
Very nice and clean
