The price was outrageous for the quality of the facility, but I get that it was all about the location. For that price, though, please provide more comfy pillows and decent water pressure.
Really appreciated the friendliness of the hotel staff. Though I didn't take advantage every day, the breakfast offerings were excellent. Nice that I was able to take a hard boiled egg on the go or eat scrambled eggs or waffles or cereal or yogurt, etc. at the hotel.
The room was advertised as being for six people but it was really for four. The hotel had only one rickety mobile bed that was barely room for one. If my party had been 4 people it would have been a perfect setup but six is pushing us to have 3 to a bed.
I like the staff trying to assist me in making the best of my situation. Also loved the breakfast.
What I didn't like was.....Every time we left the Room upon returning all our Keys had to be returned to either be re-Keyed or given completely new room keys. If we came down stairs for Breakfast same thing. Then we were given different explanations depending on who was at the front desk.
Over All Appearances.
I only had one bad experience where in the middle of the night I asked for something from the front desk which told me they would bring it up but it came over 2 hours later.
All the shops restaurants and views make for a really enjoyable as well as fun place to stay.
I liked the size of the room and the free breakfast hit the spot each morning. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Also being so close to the National Convention Center made my con experience all the greater.
The weather but you couldn't change that
The cost of the room was high, even for the location, given that aside from the two beds, furnishings were very sparse. No mini fridge, no microwave, and very little floor space for a room that was meant for 4-5 people. Even with 4 in beds, and a third wedged between the outer wall and the bed, our luggage took up most of the rest of the room.
Of all the events to offer a hotel for, MAGfest must be one of the loudest and obnoxious. The staff and the Hampton was incredibly polite and patient with me, super helpful whenever I called the front desk. Even when I was walking around in tight or very little clothing, I wasn't harassed or treated differently than a plain-clothes renter.
I was very pleased with my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't have any problems.
Parking - I paid for parking thru the hotel but had trouble getting out of the lot. The instructions were a little vague.
The outside is under construction during high season.
The service was amazing.
The outside of building was under renovation, the work should have not started till 9am.
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
Everything was great. Will stay again.
Substantial repairs from earthquake are still going on! Scaffolding is semi-permanent and interferes with entrance and exit. Exiting the Multi-level parking lot was a nightmare. Required 3 trips back to the desk and manager had to call the lot mgr just to let me out.
Breakfast bar was excellent and staff are very helpful. Location is great, short walk from Natl Harbor hotel and conference center.
Remodeling outside facility during my stay
the room's hvac.... I had the temp set at 68. It came on and off all night. I found myself throwing off the covers and then having to pull them back up. The cold air seemed to be blowing right on me. didn't sleep well as a result.
The hotel was beautiful. Enjoyed the size of the room and decor
Upon arrival, I wasn't able to identify the property because of construction. There was a sign in the lobby explaining their appearance, but I passed the location a few times before calling to inquire.
The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly. They were eager to assist, and we felt like we had a personal concierge service. Aside from construction on the outside, the inside didn't reflect it. I would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast. Oh I wish american hotels would do simple nice breakfast instead of the pancake machine and plastic plates. It lets down the otherwise amazing hotel.
The staff was wonderful! Super kind, smiling, professional. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms spacious. Location is great. The National Harbour Area is better than the city of DC.
Could see the conference center from freeway, had awful time getting there. They didn't have record of our reservation, so was up 'til 3:00 AM trying to find a U.S. phone number for Booking.com. Whole stay noisy during day due to construction. Breakfast tables dirty.
The bed was wonderful. Breakfast bar was pretty good. Conference center across the street. Food within walking distance. Area felt secure. Staff very friendly after I proved I really had a reservation for 6 nights.
pool hours; cost
prxomity to convention center; breakfast, gym was ok;
My stay was unbelievably unpleasant. This hotel should not be entertaining guests during construction! The noise was incredibly loud and began way too early in the day. Could not take calls, listen to music or watch TV- that loud. Absoultely absurd. When I finally asked to move (which was very inconvenient) the noise was not as bad but still audible. Terrible, terrible experience. Oh, and the maid came in twice while I had my DND sign on my door...which should never happen.
The bathroom needs an upgrade
The bed was really comfortable. I slept well.
Lack of a free shuttle to at least the nearest Metro Station
All the staff at the front desk were very, very helpful with any problem I had. It is the best service I have ever had.
Parking located in another building and cost 13$
