The location and room were great. The staff at the front desk very nice. I had a bad experience with room service. After working all day in cold Ottawa I did not want to go out and didn't feel like any of the complicated spicy dishes in the menu. So I called and requested a grilled cheese sandwich. I was passed to three people in the restaurant and was finally told that "they could not do that" that I could only choose from the menu. I thought it was ridiculous as I've done this many times in many hotels. I just wanted confort food. So I went for something I ended up not eating and went hungry. No excuses were offered for this. In the morning I had an early flight, there was no coffee downstairs for me at 5:30 A.M. Another thing I have not had happen before. Finally the shuttle driver walked to the kitchen and got me my coffee. He was amazing, he also brought a banana. That is the kind of flexibility solo travelers expect as we are more sensitive when traveling alone on business. We want and expect to be pampered.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personals Die Frühstücksqualität auf Plastiktellern mit Plastikbesteck und Papierbechern ist eine Zumutung für jeden Gast aus Europa. Das gilt jedoch für alle Hmpton Inns.

Booked it totally by price, Hampton reputation and convenience to other venues. The month of March anywhere in Florida is always pricey. Location nothing special.
