Best Western Bowery Hanbee Hotel    

I stay at this hotel every time I come to New York. It's a very good deal considering the location and the quality of service.

Breakfast could be better.

The location is perfect, just few steps from subway.

I liked the location. The room was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to tourists.

The internet did not work at all. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was for in - room internet access. I wasted a full hour with the it help desk to no avail. We were not offered another room with working access. I would never recommend this hotel to a business traveller.

Breakfast facilities were very overcrowded although they have plans to expand.

Location was great. Room was spacious compare to similarly priced nyc hotels. There are many great Italian and Chinese restaurant near the area. Russ and Daughters famous for its smoked salmon bagel is just 10 min walk away from hotel. Also Wholefood market near by hotel is open til late so that was helpful.

That there is no bath tub.

Lots eg being asked did i want to store my luggage when i checked out. Also being amongst the people who live and work on Manhattan, near the new museums - The New Museum & Tenement Museum - in a neighbourhood that is being renewed with interesting coffee & other shops.

The breakfast area is cramped and at the 8 am peak you are likely to have to wait for a table or you will need to share.

Very helpfull and friendly staff. The bed was good.

The hotel is not an actual 4 stars.. I would say 3 plus at the most. Paper thin walls that transfer any sound from the hallway & neighbouring rooms. Breakfast in a cantina-like room, too crowded and doubt the hygiena would pass an inspection. Room was dark, as the room had only a small window due to the placing of the bathroom. No real air- condition, but a fan that went on and off all through the night. No mini- bar or fridge in the room.

Styrofoam plates and cups at breakfast buffet It would be nice to have some free weights or lifting options in the gym to accompany your cardiovascular machines

Me And My Sweetheart Stayed There The Weekend For My Birthday And We Had A Great Time. Location Was Great, Staff Was Nice And Getting Around Was Easy.

Right away you notice the attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff in this modern, well-maintained hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The elevators are quick and reliable. If you prefer to walk, the stairwell is the brightest and cleanest I've seen. The complimentary breakfast is fine: fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, cold cereals, yoghurt, etc. The Chinatown location is convenient and interesting. All in all, a good spot for travellers and families in New York, and moderately priced.

There was nothing we didn't like!

Location is a plus being so close to central nyc. People comment on breakfast facilities, yes very simple with plastic and paper trays - but this was cool for me. Staff very friendly. Heated floor in bathroom was a nice surprise ;)

This is slap in the middle of Chinatown, so expect hussle bussle and rudeness. 5$ charge for bag to be held after already paying so much was a hard one to swallow. Walls are a little thin so expect to hear everything from adjacent rooms and corridor - take earplugs.

This is an excellent hotel! The location is right in the middle of the lively bustling Chinatown, with many good restaurants and little markets and shops around - fantastic!! The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff is efficient and polite. I will return to this hotel any time I'm in nyc. Thank you for a great experience

Breakfast is a bit crowded. The WiFi tend to disconnect and a bit overloaded

The staff was excellent . The location was near the subway , so easy access to downtown . Room was big and very clean. A shout out to the front desk person named Sean -- extremely helpful.

The location, close to the subway and also close to Soho and Chinatown, really dynamic places. The staff are realy friendly to us. The room is really clean. The breakfast was really rich every morning, so good to start a day!

The heater is really noisy and make the air quite dry. A fridge in the room could be a plus.

Loved the staff -- always helpful and friendly! Rooms were clean and comfortable; free breakfast was fine -- not gourmet, but enough to fuel us for long mornings of sightseeing. The location was grand -- steps from a subway that goes to many of the tourist-type location. The hotel is right in Chinatown, so that makes for fascinating walking. A couple of blocks west is little Italy, with some of the best food you'll find anywhere.

The only disappointment was that we had booked this hotel because my sister wanted access to a gym. The advertised fitness facility consisted of one treadmill, one exercise bike, and one elliptical which my sister described as "shaky."

The fan heater in the room was a bit noisy. And the roadwork noise outside in the middle of the night? (But I suppose this is a temporary fixture)
