One of the few hotels that has rooms with 2 queen beds; spacious room. Close to Union Square.
It sounded like there was a washing machine running all night, kind of noisy.
Have to pay for parking
excellent location to Union Square, comfort of bed
A little old of facilities
Paying for parking it's ridiculous
Location of the hotel, concierge
Bed was not that comfortable, air conditioner was extremely loud woke us up in the middle of the night, blow dryer didn't work.
loved the location and the food at the Daily GRill. Everyone did agreat job. all the waiters were excellent.servers. Bell Hops to the people behind the desk.
Easiest hotel to get to in SF!
Lobby is boring.
The room smelled
Location was excellent. Cable car stop and hop on off bus very close on union square. Staff helpful. Upgraded to larger room.
Noisy location especially at time we were there with giants baseball team winning and Halloween celebrations but part of city life. Expensive for standard of room but I understand San Francisco is one if most expensive cities in US.
Great location , walking distance to shopping , restaurants, and all transportation .
We original had a room that looked out to a wall, we asked for a upgrade, it was a extra 30 dollars a night , it had a view of union street and room was huge worth the extra money
Great location! Early check in was great. Sauna was pleasant though a bit older. Housekeeping - very nice. They also found my jewelry! The staff was friendly and pleasant.
A junior size room with windows facing a roof with conditioners (or fans) which were always working and fairly loud. The room didn't get enough natural light. I asked to change, but the only 2 rooms offered were on the same side or worse. I wouldn't want to stay in that room again (though the room itself was fine). Wish they had coffee in the morning.
It was the first hotel that I have ever stayed that had complimentary noise reduction plugs by the nightstand
No free wifi in hotel room : a basic expectation of a hotel of this standard
Hike to your room in the new section of the hotel. They charge your CC as soon as you check in, pluse $50 per day for incidentals
Loved the room which was surprisingly larger than the typical room size for boutique hotels in San Francisco. Loved the location - near all the action but not all the noise!
I felt the restaurant's dinner was not very good by San Fran standards. Only tried it once and then moved on....
Adequate amenities and great location
Terrible water pressure.
The location, next door to Lefty O'Doul's and just off Union Square activity and shopping is one of the best values in the City.
The Grill is good for breakfast, but a bit expensive, e.g. $12 for a bagel with lox.
Pleasant staff and comfortable
Price, but there was an Oracle convention in the city and it is affected the hotels prices
In a good location, close to buses, Union Square, trolleys. A very nice hotel too
Or room was on the second floor above the restaurant kitchen so it was a bit noisy late at night until the restaurant closed. Also couldn't adjust the air conditioner and it was a little noisy too so would have been nice to turn it off.
Postion sttaff loction
They write in boobing two room with two bed theres no
I liked the location, the big room, the balcony the pool.
Great location as a base to explore San Fran. Easy to get a cab, metro, street car, or the BART (Powell Street Station). The Grill next door does a great cocktail.
Nice staff. Pool area is wonderful.
Restaurant was hard to get into for breakfast because it was busy with people coming in off the street to eat.
I loved the convenience of being able to walk out to Union Square knowing that I paid 20 % less than if I had stayed at either the Palace or the St. Francis Westin located across the street. Housekeeping did an excellent job!
A little confusion at check-in, we reserved a king bed but was given two queens. After 10 minutes in the back room the agent returned assigning us our king bed.
