When I booked this hotel, it said the check-in was 4pm. I arrived at 4:30pm and one of our rooms was not ready yet because it was getting cleaned. I had booked 2 rooms for a group of 7 people. The women who checked us in said they would call my cellphone when the 2nd room was ready for us. She even took my number. By 6:30pm, no one had called us yet and when I called down to reception, they said the room had been ready. Irritating since we were waiting for their call so we could go to our room and get ready to go out to dinner reservations! I complained and the supervisor said he would give us $100 credit to use on the restaurants. When we went to check out, they tried to charge us for the $100! Apparently, the manager never put the credit in, and after 30 minutes discussing the issue on checkout, they finally applied the credit. Other issues: Our hotel room door, 17083 had a problem opening and closing. It wouldn't close properly to lock. The door was hard to open, there was something wrong with how it was attached to the hinge. The buffet breakfast was okay, not the best in Atlantic City. For $19.95 a person, it wasn't worth the price for breakfast. When we went to the swimming pool, all the lounge chairs were taken but no one was sitting in the cabanas. All the cabanas were empty with "reserved" signs on it. It was a Monday, no one was there, not sure why they wouldn't let people sit in the cabanas when it's not crowded. This hotel is trying to appear more exclusive than it actually is. It was mediocre at best. All the staff we encountered, especially the front reservation/check-in desk were not the friendliest or most accommodating. When I complained about the lack of calling us when our room was ready, they did not even apologize. They really need to fix their customer service.
The hotel room was spacious and the beds so comfortable. The shower was big and spa like and the bathroom was large. There were 4 people sharing the room and it was good amount of space.
