Bread box rooms, but accommodating staff, very courteous.
Location Wine reception, good morning coffee, cookies!
This was the smallest room I have experienced. The room was filled up with the bed almost no space for moving around and definitely to do anything else but to sleep. Just to get in and out of the room was a challange. The bed was even so high you could not use it to sit down. The view from the room was a shaft. The stay at this hotel was really a big disappointment and it cannot be recommended.
Loved watching the Bay Bridge lights at night. The proximity to the Ferry Building and the shops and farmers market was appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the staff exceptional.
It's an older hotel so the rooms are very small as were the windows. Our friends on the tool floor(8) , had a large window so next time I would ask for those rooms.
Located right at the footstep of the Baybridge and walking distance to the city centre.
We had a room that was facing into the courtyard and there was a lot of noise coming from an unknown source (must have been like an air-con/heater/kitchen fan). That was a bit annoying.
Coffee maker delivered to my room within 15 min. Location to the Embarcasero. Free beer!!
Holding $200 from my account for incidentals. Seemed like a lot.
Location right on the embarcadero is great, really good coffee and wine happy included, parking lot 1/2 a block a way was $31 for overnight (not bad in SF). Got a great rate for a friday night stay.
Room was VERY small.
Very friendly staff, I was prepared for small rooms but very comfortable and view on bay bridge when walking out front is great
The location and view from the back lounge. The big lounge area - wine tasting/visiting time. Friendly staff.
Small room we had. High Valet parking price - but I guess all of S.F. is that way.
Our room was very small but well appointed. Wine hour rocked. The location was perfect to attend Fleet Week activities.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location.
Room and bed were a bit small. Expensive computer rental in lobby.
quite convenient from airport. Bart to embarcadero and a few short blocks and your there saving time and money. great restaurants nearby as well as ballpark and right on the embaracdro for a quick run or stroll.
The location is wonderful. Love the lobby. Perfect place to enjoy the free wine during wine hour. Scenic spot in the city right by the Bay Bridge. We walked to the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market. It's a quieter part of the city, but scenic and fun.
Room was small but worked fine for a weekend trip. I wish there was more counter space in the bathroom. Barely room for your toothbrush - forget about makeup and other toiletries. Also, the towels were not changed by the housekeepers - might have been our fault for not throwing them on the floor.
The location, on the Embarcadero, close to the Ferry Building, is its best feature. The view of the Bay Bridge from the entrance is spectacular.
The price was high for the size of the room. Perhaps it was due to the World Series Game at the time.
The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. The hotel location was good with easy access to all that San Fran has to offer. Plenty of good places to eat within a few minutes walk.
The room was a little cramped with no storage space.
The staff were helpful and the location was good if you like that end of town. I probably didn't pick appropriately as I didn't like the financial end of town. The room was ready early and I was given a late check-out which was nice.
The room was exceedingly small. I walked in and then had to immediately lay down! There was no coffee or tea facilities in the room! Unbelievable! The air con was really loud and kept me up during the night. If you had a room with a bay view I'm assuming it would be nice. I didn't. Small, cramped and ugly view.
Customer service and Location -right across the Ferry Building with the best restaurants in the city right next door.
Water view of the Oakland Bay Bridge
Ticky tack add-ons - pay for internet or join the marketing program; $6.50 for a bottle of water.
Embarcadero location is prime for eating/drinking, just a few steps to Ferry Building and food Nirvana. Staff is welcoming and helpful without being pretentious or overly attentive. It might be my "go-to" for date night with wifey, have been here 3x this year just to spend the night in city for dinner and adult fun.
Rooms are not huge, no big deal.
Rooms are small.
Happy Hour daily with wine and beer from 5:00pm - 6:00pm was a nice touch. Very convenient to the Trollie and buses.
Took the Room upgrade at an additional charge because we did not like the original room. The bathroom did not have a tub and seemed as though water from shower would be a problem going everywhere.
Location View across the bay Free happy hour Staff attitude and service Comfortable lounge
No dining room, light breakfast only available in room. No tea/coffee facilities in room but free coffee in lounge area so you had to go down and collect, not ideal first thing In the morning. Otherwise order room service.
Proximity to water and downtown core. Everything was within a reasonable walking distance. Great restaurant next door with beautiful view of the Oak Bay bridge. The old school charm of the hotel with modern touches. They were also accommodating in allowing us to leave our luggage with them after checkout, to allow for more unencumbered sightseeing, as our flight was in the evening
Would have been nice if the hotel offered shuttle service to the airport at a lower price than $15/person.
