loved the location. were disappointed in the general condition compared to the other times we have stayed there.front desk worked very hard to meet our needs,
our room was not made up on night 2 had to go to the desk for towels. staff seemed to have to much to handle. included breakfast was confusing. no direction from staff. not enough staff.
Extremely overpriced for what you get. Bathroom small and outdated. Shower rusting.
We love staying at the Harbor Hotel. This was our second year in a row there. The location is great and it is a nice walk into town on a residential street along the ocean. The hotel was booked but it was very quiet and soundproof .
Floor seemed sticky
Nice new look since the last time we were there under a different management.
Bathroom was not much bigger than a closet with no ventilation
Beds, pillows comfortable. Room clean.
Too expensive for what you got.
Location, atmosphere & great weather.
Bathroom small, no carpet in room, AC made loud noises when running.
Distance from the town center
room big enough for two....clean, liked the hooks for hanging things, small refrig. ok
had to wait one hour beyond check in time to find room had not been cleaned. waited longer for them to find one that had been cleaned. Chair and table on balcony could not be used as it was so very filthy. At breakfast asked for eggs Florentine and got very greasy eggs over easy. Sausages were brown and serve...nasty
I think we can do without the Drag Queen Sunday Brunch. I know PTown and the history and overall demographics and I am cool with that but many families go to the hotels and keeping the shows at specific venues makes more sense.
Nothing but the view
Room smelled, lobby smelled, lounge was filthy and dingy
Great outdoor pool with bar and grill.
Uncomfortable beds and air conditioner was loud
Close to the beach
Distance into town
Nice waterfront location
Over all, terrible experience. The room was small with uncomfortable beds and pillows. The hotel is nicely decorated but it is clear that it needs a real renovation, specially the bathroom with tiles in the shower that are clearly detaching from the wall! And even if you know that your hotel has appearance challenges to overcome, at least offer great guest service to make up for it, like complementary breakfast, or nice clean rooms every day you stay! but no. This place does not care at all for guest satisfaction. On the second night, after housekeeping never came I was not able to relax thinking that we may have slept in used sheets my first night there. I approached the front desk about it and their immediate response was "what do you need?.. . Towels??, shampoo??". I said towels and that it would be great for someone to take the dirty ones away since the bathroom was tiny (not even big enough to fit the sink inside along with toilet and shower, so the sink sits outside of the bathroom door). I should have really answered "For $ 385.00 a night, I need my room cleaned and my bed made, that is what I need". Front desk staff was indifferent and not helpful I was glad we only stayed 2 nights. Honestly, I have stayed at the average 3 stars "Comfort Inn" type of hotels that were priced at half of what I paid for this place and had a much better experience. I am NEVER COMING BACK HERE.
Rooms were comfortable and basic. The grounds were cute with a pool, cabana, and hammocks.
Mosquitoes in my room! We had a ripped screen so we couldn't open the door. We asked to have it replaced and it was replaced with another ripped screen.
Nicely decorated room with comfortable beds, hotel right on the Bay easy drive into town, also on the bus route. When the tide goes out you can walk out over 100 of yards on sand bars.
Thin walls & loud blow driers in rooms next door. The adjoining room doors (it is a renovated 1960's style motel) allow you to hear the people next door clearly.
Food in restaurant was excellent.
Shower curtain needed changing
Would like to have early breakfast/coffee
so it took them forever to check us in and then we had to call them back three hours later to see if they had located and cleaned a room for us
The shuttle service and location
No rugs in the floor. Cement. Not comfortable warm or inviting.
The view of the ocean was great n close to the main strip of bars etc
Very expensive for just two beds n a bathroom
Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Our room was kept clean and it was quiet at night (a plus). We enjoyed the pool, firepit and the brunch!
Fire pit outside of the hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was reasonably priced. LOVED the hotel decoration in the lobby.
I did not like the fact that the room was very damped, no ventilation. bathroom was old did not feel relaxed when taking a shower.
The room was very cute and clean, the maids cleaned very well and the pool area was very nice and was always kept clean!
The service at the hotel's restaurant and cabana bar were horrible! The staff had a hard time understanding us and took forever to do anything! I had to flag down our waitress every time I need to anything, even the check.
This hotel was perfect. The hotel looks like it would have in the 60's and outward appearances from the road looked run down. After entering the premises, we found it has been renovated and definitely had a nostalgic feel. The pool was awesome and had plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The cabana bar was fully stocked and the bartender was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The burgers at the cabana bar were phenominal, as were the cocktails. The beach is directly across the street and there is a large firepit in front of the hotel which we used. There is also a restaurant and the breakfast buffet was good. This property is a short bus ride to town and I would definitely stay there again.
I wish the rooms felt a little more cozy. The bare floors and lack of decorations didn't help. Although .. my friend loved the feel of the room.
