Character of Inn, location to Quincy Market, uniqueness of the Inn. :)
No restaurant on site.
location nearby harbour comfortable bed luggage check wifi
decor of lobby (neon lights, club/sports bar) thin walls, noisy hallways no travel converters available staff were not that friendly room faced the inside hallway of the hotel courtyard
Location...but can be a bit noisy Rooms are spacious New Bar and Breakfast Options
Nice to have Bigger Towels
I loved the location. The hotel is literally walking ditance from Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, and the North End.
The room smelled a little musty and the shades were inadequate for keeping sunlight out.
The proximity of the hotel to the concert in city hall plaza was almost unbeatable.
Many of the rooms don't have a view to the outside.
There was a dirty towel in our room and we would have liked to be able to check in earlier
The staff were excellent, perfect location, beautiful accommodations!!! Cannot say enough good things. Julie and Steven were so kind at the front desk.
The hotel was a lot closer to everything than we had realised, two minutes walk to the harbourside, to the Fanuiel Hall and Quincy Market. Freedom Trail was close by. The staff were really helpful and efficient, the room decor was lovely, very contemporary, and we had a view of the harbour.
Not the hotel's fault, there were some large engined motorbikes using the seafront road at 2:00am as a drag strip, the noise was dreadful. No sooner than that had stopped, we heard the delivery trucks coming into the city to restock shops, bars and restaurants. Carparking again not the hotels fault. But very expensive city parking, as you would expect.
Great price for a convenient location. Staff as helpful as seen at high end hotels.
Window panes were thin as if the window was open. We were on the 7th floor but could hear street activity late into the night. May be a problem for light sleepers (we are not)
Location put us in the midst of so many walkable places on our list, including the Rose Kennedy Greenway park system that included wonderful public art and beautiful hand carved carousel, the North End, and other notable points in Beantown. Harborside Inn was well-kept, reasonably comfortably appointed (lobby and room), and all our requests/questions were dealt with in good cheer. I borrowed the desk umbrella to run out for provisions during a rainstorm - they were very easy about that. My sister and I, finding a great place to stay from our opposite ends of the continent, had a wonderful reunion visit with rich memories of Harborside Inn. I'm highly appreciative of this place and will stay again with my husband, adult kids, adult sibs, anyhowever way I get the chance.
A couple places had trace odors of cleaning products or moisture that were the only edge off perfection, obviously not marring the stay enough to rank it less than pretty full marks.
The parking arrangements. Having to park 2 blocks away, 5 levels down , and then having to pay for parking was a disappointment. If you expect patrons to use this garage, you should have valet parking.
Awesome location, walking distance to everything! easy access to subway & airport.
The location. The price. Nice staff.
Excellent location, close to the harbour and market.
No coffee facilities.
design, layout, location
Hotel is 1 block from Quincy Market, the harborside, and within walking distance of most attractions. Subway entrance in front. Hop on/off bus on one corner, 24 hr convenience store on the other. Cozy and intimate hotel with top of the line Serta Hotel PT mattress. The best sleep ever. Computers with printers in lobby. Not like the megachains.
Room was rather small. Hotel was very pricey for what you get but then it's Boston after all. 24 hr convenience store attracts a few winos, panhandlers and stragglers.
This was our first time staying in Boston so this was a trip full of firsts. The location of the hotel could not have been better. Over all our stay was as we had hoped and definitely would return.
Location was perfect for downtown. Staff were really friendly. Rooms were clean. Small but had everything you need when travelling.
First time at a boutique hotel. Rooms were smaller than i expected and the 'window' looked into the lobby so you had no idea what the weather was like until you stepped outside.
Nice hotel, at a good central location.
Size of the room. Service. Friendly and informed staff. Convince of location to Trolley & cruises & good restaurants.
The lack of lighting for reading and especially for working at the desk.
Location; price; cleanliness; quality; parking discount ($15 overnight parking! unheard of in boston!); coffee bar; responsiveness of staff
not a big deal, but the reservation boast a "city view room" - our room was on the first floor and it was really an alley view! This would not prevent me from coming back but the advertisement was a bit misleading.
The location was perfect. The hotel is right in the middle of the action. Across the street from the Long Warf, next to the market and walking distance to the North End or "Little Italy". Never a problem running back to the hotel for a jacket or to freshen up. We had a great experience. Everything from check in to check out, the staff was helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and clean. Overall GREAT experience.
I recommend staying in a level above the 2nd floor. We were right above the night club and one of our three night stay they were very loud. I think if we were on the 3rd floor or higher we wouldn't have heard them.
Nice vibe, out-of-the-ordinary hotel. Comfortable and wonderfully convenient. The bar and coffee shop area are good for relaxing and getting work done. It's a little dated, (the doors use real keys) but that's part of the charm. Baths are nicely up-to-date.
Odor of disinfectant in the hallways. Lack of on-site fitness facility. No work desk area in the room. Rooms and hallways could use better lighting.
Beautiful hotel, well located.
Requested a high floor, was given a room on the first floor.
