Walking distance of eveything in the gaslamp quarter !
Way too many drunk annoying girls wandering the hotel after Sunday pool parties
Room, staff and area great!
Didn't like the 5am trash trucks outside windows
Room amenities were pretty good (fully stocked bar, bathroom shower) Comfortable bed
Little noisy, but that can be expected
Location was great
Room was small and I didn't like the see through shower. No privacy for restroom
Hotel was pristine, modern, everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was absolutely perfect for an event at the convention center. Loved being right in the Gaslamp district where there was tons of restaurants and shops! Will definitely be staying here again next year for our event!
We liked the fact that the hotel is modern and well looked after. There's no faulting the rooms, but the pool area is very small for the size of the hotel which meant we couldn't use it most days due to it being over-crowded. This wouldn't be an issue if the price reflected this, but it doesn't. Generally the staff where very helpful, and friendly, for the exception of one girl who although tried to help, did it without smilling even once. The area is fab. Couldn't be better situated for going out etc. Not a huge amount to do around there during the day though.
On the weekends the crowd of clientele that stays is of the partying kind. Great if you're looking for that, not so great if you value you're sleep time. Constant door slamming and drunken shouting during the Friday night we stayed is more the type of behaviour one would expect in a less expensive hotel.
cool decor to match its rock theme. staff friendly and excellent location.
Room was small and everything was overpriced - including the bottles of water. Don't book this hotel if you want a good night's sleep. The noise from the hotel's own club (music and people) was ridiculous even though we were on the eleventh floor.
Location was great.
Naer for gaslamp
Its noisy at night
wrong week - we came short before the convention - too busy we didn't like the huge change of the prices Thuesday to Wednesday for our breakfast (1/3 more ?????) that ist not fair - poor the Situation of the pool for our 9 year old boy ...
The services and the location of the hotel.
The noise of the guests during the week end.
Lack of coffee machine/ kettle in the room. Lack of complimentary water. Party at the pool, so we couldn't use it.
The Gym The Pool The Access to the Bay
it looks clean
The hotel is too much noisy. I could not sleep well due to the whole night music plus the room does not block sound at all. I can hear the talking from other room or from the walkway. It is too bad. Besides, 40 dollars one day for parking is too bad. i will never stay in this hotel again.
Staff was very friendly and helpful!
Nice hotel, fast and friendly service, big rooms
Not so personal The toilet didn't works, we had to call the reception twice We couldn't use the pool area on Sunday because of their poolparties (we did not know when we made the booking)
The location is great.
Lots of liquor, candy, two TV's, and even condoms in the room. Not a coffee maker to be found. I didn't even check for that when booking the room, because I really thought that was standard equipment in hotel rooms these days. Motel 6 has coffee makers in their rooms. They do offer free coffee from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. But you have to go down to the lobby or the coffee shop to get it. I realize that this is supposed to be a party hotel, but some kind of desk to sit at while using my laptop would have been nice, also. I usually stay at the Omni when I go to San Diego, but they were full 4 months before my trip. No problems at the Omni.
Stayed 1 night for a Girls Weekend Out. Chose this hotel because we wanted a fun, hip hotel that was walking distance from Gaslamp District. This hotel has a great location being right next to Petco park and a plethora of bars, clubs and restaurants
$40 valet and it unfortunately rained that weekend so we didn't get the opportunity to use the pool or spa facility which they charge an additional $19 per night resort fee for and we never used any of it. Suggestion is to park at the adjacent parking structure on 6th street which is literally 1-2 blocks from the hotel and costs half the price of valet.
Modern, Decent-sized Room Nice, Modern Decor Large Bathroom Good-sized TV with HD Channels Very Good Restaurant in Hotel (MaryJane's)
Absolutely Zero Sound Insulation in bathrooms Glass Panels in Bathrooms radiate light into rest of room. Can get very loud and Boisterous throughout Hotel/Hallways.
Location was great, within walking distance from a ton of restaurants and bars. Room was very clean and in good condition
There is no parking lot, valet is $40/day but good news is there is a public parking lot right next door that about $10-$15/day and you can leave overnight. The hallway towards my room smelled like trash or a rotten egg every single day we were there. Bathroom vent didn't work well at all, it was pretty much useless. The pool area could be a bit nicer, maybe more plants? Pool closes at 8 p.m. because the bar is right next door.
- Location. In lively Gaslamp district, walking distance from Sea Port Village and the marine. - Room comfort and view over the city and bay.
- Mandatory charge of USD19 on top of room rate for services that we had no interest in getting and never used (like fitness room, bike rental). Should be visible while booking to calculate the overall cost and make an informed decision. - Valet parking at USD40, a ripping off given there is public parking a block away costing just a fraction of this amount. - No conscierge in place both days we stayed (Sunday, Monday). - Room was not fully prepared before we got in. Somebody from the personned asked to enter to count the items in the fridge. - Coffee offered as part of USD19 service charge only between 6:30 and 9. When asked for tea instead, they declined to offer.
Price Not for small children Pool not open sunday
Playing the music upon entering the room.. The lounge on floor 5 by the pool.. Right in the middle of the city
I was under the impression that we got a suite with a separate living room but I believe it was a junior studio instead. . And the construction was horrible as well as the parking
Too much for parking
No bathtub, shower leaked all over bathroom floor, the body gels and lotion smelled bad and our toilet backed up.
