Location was the only good part.
Way too loud, unable to even sleep.people are out of control and there's no security to regulate the loudness.
If your want to be loud and party come here. Not a good place for a solo traveler on business. I picked it because it was close to the convention center where I had a conference. Quick and inexpensive food places were it this area.
The staff was incredibly helpful and hospitable. There was a good vibe to the place. When we requested an additional mirror to the room, one of the staff members went out of her way to find us a full length mirror. I loved the options of being able to hook up an amplifyier to the room to jam on an electric guitar that the hotel can provide, or mix on a Tracktor.
The TV wasn't functioning properly, but the on staff engineer helped us work the audio system and was very helpful. We had 3 girls to a room, so an additional larger mirror outside of the bathroom is needed.
Staff was very friendly. The location was excellent and the room was excellent.
The construction going on was very loud and it looked very dirty as I got off the elevator. Tools and plastic were all over the hall. Construction was very loud and woke me up early in the morning. It is as inconvenient and for the price of the room was very disappointing. My stay wasn't as relaxing as I wanted it to be.
Regular rooms were a bit small.
Theme Location: in the Gaslamp Quarter Night life
Price Parking value Despite having searched the hotel for the theme and the night life, the sound of the parties may disturb guests.
Close to the convention center.
There was no coffee in the rooms, and even though coffee was offered downstairs, not only was that inconvenient, but majority of the time there was NO coffee even made. Also, the layout of the Suite Bathroom was weird and not very private!
Extremely overpriced. Also stayed at Bayside Wyndham and it was half the price but much nicer.
Very convenient for the convention center, Gaslamp Quarter and tram. Room was clean and comfortable. Most (not all) of the staff on reception/concierge were friendly and helpful.
Reception area and corridors are a bit soul-less and gloomy. Although there is coffee available in the lobby, it would have been nice to have coffee-making facilities in the room. Charges for wi-fi should be included in room, not as a compulsory extra purchase.
all the amenities
The food, club, and room.
while our stay was nice, we did not receive any cleaning service in our room for the following days of our stay. very disappointing considering the room rate.
Loud People outside my door all night
the Bellhop taking our bags to our room was WONDERFUL!!!, evening valet were very polite and helpful
took quite sometime to get a drink after ordering, bar wasnt busy, no sofa in our room as stated would be, trying to get a cup of coffee the next morning (or even water) was ridiculous, service was terrible in the coffee shop, the check out valet made us feel stupid, not helpful at all
Up to date decor in rooms.
Lack of decent furniture, short and small closet, no room coffee maker.
I like the bathrooms!! Nice and spacious
I think it is a little over priced but an overall nice room
Location is great and staff is helpful and friendly.
It was a Saturday night and this place was full of out-of-control drunks. Though they were mostly in the lobby, to my surprise many stayed at the hotel. They roam the hallways after hours and continue drinking! It was so loud in the hallways that we were woken up several times by wooting, shouting, and door slamming. In the morning we spotted a neighbor in the elevator who was intoxicated beyond belief at 10AM!! He could barely stand up and his friends had to help him walk. I was nervous he had vomited in the elevator. I felt like it was spring break in Cancun. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless your aim is to freely roam around drunk during your entire stay.
Proximity to Convention Center, comfortable beds, rooms were a decent size, staff went out of their way to be helpful. Good location for access to the Gaslamp district for dining - don't have to dine in the hotel (thankfully).
Fitness center is tiny and much of the equipment was not working. The insert keycard to operate lift feature was very annoying. Many drunk people make a lot of noise coming back from the clubs. Room service dining menu sounded awful and was extremely expensive ($17 for a club sandwich made with Boar's Head deli meat - no thanks). Business center has rather outdated computers that are barely functional.
Coffee/tea machine in the room would not be bad. And also a bidet but it is almost nowhere in the states.

Hotel in prime location for Gaslamp Quarter and across the street form the trolly system Trolly system cheap and easy to use allows exploration of the city with out a car Gaslamp quarter a thriving buzzing place to eat and drink The hotel is modern and very well equipped for a comfortable stay. The poolside beds and service was excellent midweek
Poolside was crowded and noisy at the weekend. The 'guests' around the pool did not give off a friendly atmosphere. The price given by Booking.com did not include basic extras such as All Areas pass for the wifi and free coffee or taxes
Great location staff was very nice
Requested a late check out but did not notify me that my late check out was diniq
Staff is awesome, very accommodating. Fun atmosphere. Great food. Great location.
The room was great, everyone was friendly.
1. Convenient to PetCo Park for the Paul McCartney concert on 9/28/2014. 2. Room was clean and comfortable. 3. Bell captain was professional. 4. Valet parking was professional. 5. Check out was a breeze.
1. TV and telephone were very static-y. 2. Hard Rock didn't have any specially discounted room rates or packages for the Paul McCartney concert at PetCo Park. I'm no marketing genius, but I think this was a missed opportunity (it certainly would have curried more favor with me if the hotel had had something to tie in with the McCartney concert; after all, McCartney IS rock 'n roll and the Hard Rock Cafe, of which the hotel is a subsidiary, was born out of the rock 'n roll scene in London in 1971 directly as a result of McCartney and The Beatles). 3. Hotel parking seems high at $40/night. I've paid less at the Le Montrose Suites Hotel in West Hollywood.
