In the Gaslamp District, this hotel just 1 mile from the San Diego Convention Center has guest rooms with free Wi-Fi and a welcome beverage.

I like the bathrooms!! Nice and spacious
I think it is a little over priced but an overall nice room
Proximity to Convention Center, comfortable beds, rooms were a decent size, staff went out of their way to be helpful. Good location for access to the Gaslamp district for dining - don't have to dine in the hotel (thankfully).
Fitness center is tiny and much of the equipment was not working. The insert keycard to operate lift feature was very annoying. Many drunk people make a lot of noise coming back from the clubs. Room service dining menu sounded awful and was extremely expensive ($17 for a club sandwich made with Boar's Head deli meat - no thanks). Business center has rather outdated computers that are barely functional.
Coffee/tea machine in the room would not be bad. And also a bidet but it is almost nowhere in the states.

Hotel in prime location for Gaslamp Quarter and across the street form the trolly system Trolly system cheap and easy to use allows exploration of the city with out a car Gaslamp quarter a thriving buzzing place to eat and drink The hotel is modern and very well equipped for a comfortable stay. The poolside beds and service was excellent midweek
Poolside was crowded and noisy at the weekend. The 'guests' around the pool did not give off a friendly atmosphere. The price given by Booking.com did not include basic extras such as All Areas pass for the wifi and free coffee or taxes
Great location staff was very nice
Requested a late check out but did not notify me that my late check out was diniq
Staff is awesome, very accommodating. Fun atmosphere. Great food. Great location.
The room was great, everyone was friendly.
1. Convenient to PetCo Park for the Paul McCartney concert on 9/28/2014. 2. Room was clean and comfortable. 3. Bell captain was professional. 4. Valet parking was professional. 5. Check out was a breeze.
1. TV and telephone were very static-y. 2. Hard Rock didn't have any specially discounted room rates or packages for the Paul McCartney concert at PetCo Park. I'm no marketing genius, but I think this was a missed opportunity (it certainly would have curried more favor with me if the hotel had had something to tie in with the McCartney concert; after all, McCartney IS rock 'n roll and the Hard Rock Cafe, of which the hotel is a subsidiary, was born out of the rock 'n roll scene in London in 1971 directly as a result of McCartney and The Beatles). 3. Hotel parking seems high at $40/night. I've paid less at the Le Montrose Suites Hotel in West Hollywood.
I had a great stay here, has everything and brilliant pool parties during the day. Staff were lovely!!!
Location was perfect for our itenarary.
Public areas weren't very clean, especially in the evenings. Other guests were loud and obnoxious throughout the night.
I loved the locality central to everywhere I needed to go. The Hotel was clean and very comfortable. The in house dining was fantastic as well with friendly staff. The Hard Rock Hotel was very vibrant as they had lots of events happening which we watched from our window with intrigue!! Loved it!!
Sometimes just a little dark in the room trying to get ready
Lots of noise in hallways and outside hotel on the weekend, but what do you expect it's the Hard Rock Hotel.
It was a nice place to stay over priced and they put a $500 hold on my card in case of damages on top of my $386 priced I pay never had that happen before
Great hotel in a great location
I didn't like the way the shower and toilet was set up.
Walking distance of eveything in the gaslamp quarter !
Way too many drunk annoying girls wandering the hotel after Sunday pool parties
Room, staff and area great!
Didn't like the 5am trash trucks outside windows
Room amenities were pretty good (fully stocked bar, bathroom shower) Comfortable bed
Little noisy, but that can be expected
Location was great
Room was small and I didn't like the see through shower. No privacy for restroom
Hotel was pristine, modern, everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was absolutely perfect for an event at the convention center. Loved being right in the Gaslamp district where there was tons of restaurants and shops! Will definitely be staying here again next year for our event!
We liked the fact that the hotel is modern and well looked after. There's no faulting the rooms, but the pool area is very small for the size of the hotel which meant we couldn't use it most days due to it being over-crowded. This wouldn't be an issue if the price reflected this, but it doesn't. Generally the staff where very helpful, and friendly, for the exception of one girl who although tried to help, did it without smilling even once. The area is fab. Couldn't be better situated for going out etc. Not a huge amount to do around there during the day though.
On the weekends the crowd of clientele that stays is of the partying kind. Great if you're looking for that, not so great if you value you're sleep time. Constant door slamming and drunken shouting during the Friday night we stayed is more the type of behaviour one would expect in a less expensive hotel.
A group of 13 of us stayed at the hotel because we reserved a cabana for a party. The day of our reservation we were told the hotel president arrived and took a cabana which bumped us. The hotel's solution was to comp our group a bottle. Not acceptable when you're paying 300 a night for a room. Would have stayed elsewhere if we knew.
cool decor to match its rock theme. staff friendly and excellent location.
Room was small and everything was overpriced - including the bottles of water. Don't book this hotel if you want a good night's sleep. The noise from the hotel's own club (music and people) was ridiculous even though we were on the eleventh floor.
