It is a nice hostel, very nice staff, the rooms are small, but if you go there just for sleep they are perfect From the window there is a fabolous sight of new york!! They give you a free frist breakfast.. The bathrooms are clean
Location is close to subway Staff people are OK
1- rooms and toilets are so dirty. I had small cockroachs in my room. 2- toilets are shared and cleanness is terrible 3-i have never experienced such slow internet since we stopped using the dialup a decade ago. Don't know what is wrong
The subway was a block away. Access to cheap local food in the community. Office staff was helpful and friendly; security, not so much. The cafe shop had the best Starbucks coffee. The water pressure was strong for long showers. This is a hostel experience so expect that. It provides cheap basic accommodation without frills. There were a lot of foreign students on my floor. For the money, I would definitely stay here again because I found it to be very clean and safe for me to lay my head, most of the time I was gone anyway.
Poorly constructed bathrooms. In one of them, if you did not lock the door and someone opened it while you were on it, the door would hit your legs. The was always a puddle of water near the shower. The poor drainage was due to the shower being on the same level as the floor with no separation. There was only 1ply bathroom tissue (which ran out quickly) and no paper towels. In my room I had to move the refrigerator in order to open it fully or the door would hit the bed. The cleaning staff spoke loudly to each other in the mornings. Be careful not to lean back in the chair in your room or you will fall over, it had bo support.
Central to everything Harlem has to offer. Shopping, food, nightlife, culture.
Only one or two bathrooms on each floor.
U can use gym
The bed too small & uncomfortable
Close to train station Close to Hot Food shops Gym + Pool Food voucher for breakfast Late check-in
Leaking taps Thin bed sheets Late night noise off the street (street people, hotrod cars)
- really helpful and professional staff - great price for value - although the hotel is not in the center, subway is just around the corner - free wifi and the ability to print documents - cleanness - ones again - really great staff!
close to subway
a bit far from downtown. shared facilities is not enough - only 1 shower and 2 toilet in the entire level
restaurants, pubs, grocery stores and more all around the hotel, easy access to the subway, right on the corner, kind people, clean neighborhood, a lor of fun at night!
I couldn´t smoke at bars (patio), I had to move outside, few steps from my table and continue the conversation trough the little fence.
Close to subway station (1 block) Nice neighborhood Friendly staff Cheaper than average Gym and pool
The rooms are horrible They hav a bunk bed and a little place to stand and that's the room tht u get The washrooms are not in the room The location is also not great as being advertised Please try and avoid this as much as you can
Personal Room small but OK Clean
Bathroom Very noisy close to a hospital Very small room
Plastic mattress protector made the bed horrible to sleep in on a warm night.
I like the installations was fair enough of what i paid
the security staff was very wicked.
The facilities are good really close to the subway which only steps away! The security guard, housekeeper and the receptionist are also friendly and heplful. Restrooms are clean and spacious
It's quite far away from the downtown
I li ke t he Gym and swimming pool
the restroom on my floor was a disaster，worst experience until I found out the pulic one
Clean bathrooms and rooms. They had a gym and pool for people to use.
Only two bathrooms on one floor. (They had additional bathroom facilities in the gym which was good).
Great place to stay, easy to take the subway to midtown, private gym and fitness center, excellent!
close to subway, easy to reach downtown, clean and good value for money, all toilets(3) were clean (10th floor)
neighborhood is little remote and away from Manhattan main business area but no problems safe enough, Small room but manageable
The staff were great and friendly!
The room was really small. The beds werent comfortable.
The location is nice. By five minutes walking you can reach to a nice local park. You can find whatever you want near hotel and the very important thing is the hotel is so close to the red NO.3 metro line which leads you to downtown. Also you can reach to blue line metro easily by five minutes walking. I found the location almost safe and hotel also has a good security system. But if I was a girl maybe my feeling was different in midnight. I suggest you to get deluxe rooms because they are in a better situation. Staff are nice and if you feel bad about something you can ask them to fix it. Totally if you are looking for an economic place to stay, comparing what you pay and the total situation of NYC, this hotel can be good choice. See my negative comments too.
Rooms are smaller than what you see in pictures but for NYC are still fair. Sometimes you need to wait for shower. Each floor has one shower for men and one for women. My friends' was smelly, so if you got one smelly ask them to change.
The Staffel was super friendly and helpful. The place is clean and bright and the Gym and Pool makes it even better!
The location in Harlem is a little "out of the way". Public transit is OK but not stellar. Harlem might not be to everybodys liking.
The bedroom was good, with TV and space for everything I needed.
The shower were strange, sometimes too hot or too cold.
I really love the place and the location very accessible. It is very near to subway and any other establishment. Staffs are nice and approachable too. Would love to stay here again on my next visit. A value for money too.
None. For me its perfect.
