Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, free coffee (one package/day) and water boiler. 1) My colleague and I put half-full coke into the fridge, and were charged about usd 4,? each night when checking out of Harrah'S. The lady asked questions like:"Did you took something from the mini bar?" "No." "Did you touch anything in the mini bar?" "There is a sensor which will charge you each time you touch something in the minibar" "Your tour guide must have told you this." "We don't have a tour guide, nowhere was written about such a regulation and we didn't know such a custom anywhere else." In the end they returned the charge. Maybe Harrah's should put a big sign across the minibar in each room: "each touch costs usd 4,-" 2) There were loud music playing beginning about 11pm each night. If you need a very quiet room for sleep, don't get the rooms with odd numbers like 711, 713, 715, 717... 3) There was no sign whatever to indicate where the check-in line begins, we, with all of our luggage were demanded to walk to the other side to be in the line "properly" - not very customer friendly. While waiting in line for checking-out, people just cut into our line and the old couple behind me said I should not tolerate it. I went forward and the front desk lady gave me an impatient, unfriendly look, that look she should have gave somebody else!

Harrah's is smack in the middle of the thriving part of the strip, you're only a short walk to any of the best casino's in either direction. The room I had in the carousel(?) tower was very clean and quiet, spacious and with a very well appointed bathroom. There is a massive amount of parking too which is easy to access from the main hotel/casino.Over-all I'd give Harrah's 8.5/10 There were only two things I didn't like about Harrah's, but please note that the same could have been said for any other casino/hotel on the strip (and I've stayed in most of them). It takes a couple of days to instinctively know how to get to and from your elevator, these places are massive and not very well sign-posted.Secondly, beware of the mini-bar if you aren't aware of the fact that even lifting an item to look at it is an instant purchase, I've never been caught this way but I know plenty who have. i.e. if you pick up every item in there, when you check out you'll be paying for them all even if you didn't use/drink them. Please note there is a sign on the door to the mini-bar, so you cant pretend you weren't warned.

The room and location were very nice for the price. We talked to a couple that said they had gotten 4 nights for $140 through their rewards card so that is our plan for next time, what a great deal they got. They also have a buffet deal, $45 for 24 hour unlimited visits at all 7 of the Harrah's owned locations. We only ate at the Harrah's buffet and it was pretty good. Also, there is a McDonalds right next door with free wi-fi and adjacent to that is Casino Royal with $1 margaritas 24 hours. The bathtub faucet dripped but it didn't bother anybody. The line for the buffet practically doesn't move when they are busy, you can pay $5 at Harrah's to go to the vip line and get right in but that is annoying when you already paid $45 and to get to the vip line at Rio cost $15. The pool is ok, nothing great.

The buffet and the petite suite were the best experience during my stay at Harrah's. The gambling afforded a variety of slots to play and the tables were busy. I felt there should be a bit more variety of selections in the Cafe. All in all the 4 days spent at Harrah's was enjoyable. There was only one thing that I wasn't happy about and that was the glasses in the room. The next day I picked up a glass and noticed that there were lipsticks stains from the day before. The glasses were not replaced with clean ones.

Close to the action, but do not stay here if you use apple products like iPads and MacBook AIrs - no Wifi at all. In 2011, are you kidding me ! Harrahs is like a time machine, except you go back ten years, not forward. There is no wifi at all, only an ethernet cable in the rooms. So if you have an iPad forget it. If you have a Macbook Air, which does not have an ethernet port, you will have no way of getting internet. This is really pathetic in a $250 a night hotel. I complained to the duty manager and he said they know about the problem and that I should write in and that the more people write in something may change. All I can say is that if you need wifi for internet access, do not stay here. They must think we all live in 2001.

The first room we had was located on the third floor, but early mornings we could hear construction outside the window. So we were moved to the ninth floor and everything was great. Location was perfect, in the middle of the strip. Other hotels with similar prices were far out from all the action. The pool was closed for the winter, but we were not informed of this prior to our stay. Also, the hotel does have a shuttle service for $7 per person, but this was not advertised so we ended up taking a taxi from the airport which cost $30.

Good value for the money. Harrah's accepted my reservation without charging my credit card in advance. I did not use the hotel amenities so my rating is purely based on checking in/out, and the room itself.

Nice clean rooms. Comfortable and quiet. Good location on the middle of the strip. Excellent value for the money. Check in was very slow. While the room was very clean and fresh, the lobby and casino were smokey.

Location to my conference No coffie maker in room, probably because the hotel wants you to use star bucks in the lobby. Shower valve would not shut off. Food and service in cafe was very poor, I was never served my dinner. Another party of 5 was served before me.
