The spacious size of the rooms and the easy access to the rooms, swimming pools and car parks without a long trek trough the casino. The smoke filled casino through which you have to walk to get anywhere. I also did not like the surprise $100 per night security deposit they insist on charging upon check in as there was no mention of this when I booked. Several of my colleagues used the same hotel for the same convention and we all seemed to have been treated differentl. Some were only charged $100 for the entire stay whilst others had to pay twice the amount. For a traveler on a budget it is very difficult to have $700 taken as a security deposit which is then not returned to you until three days after your stay. It has left be broke and unable to do some of the travelling and sightseeing excursions I wanted to do. I have visited Las Vegas for business at least once a year in theist 12 years and stayed in different hotels and whilst this was my favourite from a space point of view the security deposit and late opening of the pool (other hotels open at 7am whilst this one opened at 9am, will be why I won't return or recommend this hotel

I reserved a room with two beds it only had one which was very important since I had my friend with me, I asked them to follow up with me to see if a room wAs available. I had to follow up with them and the I slept on a couch the entire time which wAs miserable since I an this trip with friends over a month ago. They told me they charge my card the full amont when I check in which they didn't and it made me bounce funds because I thought I had money thAt wAs not available. I ask to reimburse they kept saying I did not get my room through them so I had to go through booking.com. I felt and wAs treAted like a second class guess and will never stay there Again. They made me like it wAs my fault they did not have two beds for two grown men sleeping in a room like we were workers who were on standby

Check in time was 4:00, we didn't check in until 5:00 pm. Upon asking the desk clerks when our room would be ready they were very rude and cold. I will never stay here again. It is ridiculous to be waiting an hour for a room that you pay a high amount for; instead of holding $100 for incidentals, the hotel should have paid me and my family for the time lost due to this inconvenience. No one wants to be waiting an extra hour especially after driving 6 hours to get to Vegas!!

This place is a bonafide dump. The housekeeping staff was in my room finishing up servicing my room and when I entered the room I was never asked for identification. The gal finished up, left me in the room and took off without ever verifying that it was indeed my room. I reported this to the gm who did nothing to offer anything. The drawers in the dresser were broken, it was old and there was some dogfood on the floor. Very blue collar and the smell of smoke was horriffic throughout the hotel. I say implode this place pronto.

Nice to stay in the hotel where the conference was, liked the shuttles to the strip. Allowed for a better experience. Far too smokey. Other large casinos (Cesars, Planet Hollywood, etc.) must have better air handlers because even in my non-smoking room I had more allergic reactions to cigarette smoke than I did in the casinos of the other places.

Cheaper than other hotels on the strip. I did not like the big pillows they had in the room so I called for something smaller and was give the choice of either feather or poly-fill. The feather was brand new. Nice. We asked for (hopefully) a nice view and were give a corner room; a good view of the strip! Our room was needed a little update. The couch was worn out, stains on the carpet. They give you a Kurig coffe maker, but charge $8 for 3 k- cups of coffee. It took a while to reach someone to send up and retreive our lugguge.

The hotel has blocked almost 1000 USD from my card for incidentals, for 5 nights of accomodation, they did not inform me, and I have to call my bank, and wait a few days to recover my amount, after leaving the hotel.

Responsive house cleaning and front desk staff. Clean rooms. Lack of notice when booking that an extra $50 a day is taken for incidentals, and not credited back upon checkout- still waiting for my checking account to be credited. Would have stayed elsewhere if I had known that. Security was a little lax- I was solicited by a prostitute at the base of the Impanema tower on 2-21 at 1:00 a.m.

Hotel staff was nice. Our room smelled like there was a bar-b-que outside our window and we were on the 8th floor and the layout of the hotel was fair, but we would not stay there again even if it were really inexpensive.

Large rooms, just across the hwy from the Cosmo $14/day for Internet. Most of the other hotels in Las Vegas have free Internet. That should be considered in the price.

The view from my room. Where do I begin??? First of all, this "all-suites" hotel charges its guests to use their workout facilities; this is outrageous and unheard of ! I work in the hotel industry and have never heard of that! Secondly, my tv was old and very inadequate (large lines on the picture, no flat screen) and I was "upgraded" to the 33rd floor. Thirdly, one day I was told my room would be cleaned by the second shift if the first shift had not cleaned it. I went out for the day and came back to a dirty room that day. Last but not least, Las Vegas' only "all seafood buffet" offered not discounts for this famous buffet to its 4 days and 4 nights stay guests (me & my girlfriend). In addition, there was no microwave, cd player/sound system in our "upgraded" room, for our enjoyment. I chose to eat elsewhere and spend my money outside of the Rio, because I was offended at being charged to used the exercise equipment and no discount for the buffet. How dare those people do that; there are too many other options in Vegas for that crap. How greedy and inconsiderate to their guests!@!!@!

The conferenecce facilities for st Convention were very good. The staff in starbucks and restaurants were great, However the check in facilities were incredibly slow comparesd with those in other hotels. The number of open checkouts compared with queues was poor. I have stayed in the mgm grand and they were much slicker. The by phone checkout does not give an option for e-mail of itemised bill this would be useful. Getting money firm cashpoint at $21 extra, demands for a casino card as second collateral for withdrawalls from a non gambler was obscene. If I didnt have a uk phot licence I would have had to queue for ages to get a pass just to get what a standard withdrawal machine would have given instantly. Also I had a late night security call, but had booked two extra nights tue and wed 16 and 17th. Strandge men who could have been anyone knocking on a female door late at night is not a good idea, then trying to get in!!! Scary

Loved this hotel! Room was huge, view was great, beds were comfortable, and I loved the updated modern decor. Casino was very nice and had an awesome little restaurant called the sports grill - I had a great chicken caesar salad there which was huge (couldn't finish it all) and the prices were very reasonable. They also have a Mardi-Gras theme show in the Carnival Court every hour which is a must-see - very festive, and they even throw out beads like at a real Mardi Gras. Location is great, only a short mile drive or walk to the strip - they even offer a regular shuttle to and from the strip which was a great convenience. We went to the breakfast buffet which seemed to stretch endlessly - unfortunately I was full before I could try everything I wanted to, lol. All in all, I had a very pleasant trip to the Rio and cannot think of a single complaint during my entire stay. I will definitly be booking my stay at this hotel during my next trip to Vegas!
