The size of the room.

Smells of the kitchen wafting in through vents... even though we were on the 7th floor.

The room was spacious and clean. The price was awesome.

The shower is sax I took when I checked in but it's not good it's so bad ....... I didn't even take a shower in the morning

The staff was very friendly. The convenience store by the elevators was well stocked and it was nice that it was open late.

I had stayed at your hotel a few years ago and had a great experience. The rooms were beautifully layed out and furnished. The view was great and I ended up spendinding most of my time at the Hotel and doing most of my gambling in the your Casino. I think that I may have had a room in your tower. With all this as a past experience, I was looking forward to coming back and staying at The Rio again. On this trip, my fiance' was coming with me. We were out visiting my father who's health is failing. We love to gamble and dine, so this was going to be a little get away for the two of us. At check-in, we were given the option of upgrading to a remodeled room for an additional $45 a night. Thinking back to my previous visit, I remember my standard room being beautiful so I declined the offer. Then I was offered a strip view for an additional $20 a night which I accepted. Once we checked in and went to our room, I was immediately taken back by its appearance. There was nothing necessarily wrong with it but it just looked and felt old. The surroundings looked a bit worn (wallpaper peeling off the walls by the elevator and in our room, torn carpeting, missing floor boards, and a mini bar without anything in it). My Fiance' commented on the fact that there was only 1 tiny shampoo in the bathroom, and later that day, how cheap feeling the toilet paper was, with which I completely concurred. When we looked out the window, our strip view was more of an air conditioner view than a strip view. Maybe only about 25% of the strip was visible. The rest was blocked by the other side of the hotel. We were tired from the trip in and decided to stay. Upon waking up the next morning, we wanted to make coffee but there was no coffee to put into the in-room coffee maker. I thought that this must have been an oversight, so I went and got some Starbucks coffee instead.

Suite was large and view good. Carnival buffet quite good and service good. Seafood buffet was disappointing - scallops bad and some fish not good. Only saving grace were lobster and crab legs. 3 years previously was great but will not go there again. Penn & Teller were excellent and entertaining. Staff helpful with questions especially lady who helped with a slot machine.

$200 credit card hold for incidentals ridiculous. One day the cleaning lady forgot to do our room. We had a light out in the bathroom that was not replaced for 3 days. Seafood buffet was a disappointment - scallops bad and some fish not good. Only saving grace were lobster and crab legs. 3 years previously was great but will not go there again.

I loved Rio the price was right and the place is beautiful! The staff is helpful and the gaming is awesome!

It was easy to get to the strip.

getting dinged with resorts fees after you have already payed for your night. extra fees for using the internet. Cars were parked outside in the heat.

The non-smoking room had ash trays and smelled of smoke, including the bed linen. Check in took way too long at a very late hour of the evening. Rooms had coffee maker but no coffee. I definitely would not stay here again

Value for money.

The water system in the hotel shut down without warning and I was in the shower with soapy hair at the time.

My daughter and I needed a one night stay in Vegas close to the airport. This was perfect! Amazing room...we were upgraded to a huge 2 room suite...not sure why but loved it! I have stayed here before and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. No airport noise , no hallway noise, no street noise ....perfect!

Seemed to take a long time to check in.

Awesome rooms! We had visited the casino in the past, but hadn't stayed here before. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

I didn't appreciate house keeping knocking on the door at 8:30, even trying the key in the door when we didn't answer the door quick enough.

I loved how all the staff was very welcoming to us as soon as we arrived, they were all nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The room I stayed in was nice a big, not what I expected at all. It wasnt a strip view but I had a better view of the mountains over looking Vegas and the sunset was beautiful. The Carnival buffet was great they had everything there at the hotel for you. I didnt mind the resort fee at all because I felt like I was at a resort. I like how the slots machines were right by the elevators, so when I was done all I need to do was walk over and I was already at my room.The waitress' were excellent and kept making sure that I was taken care with my drinks (which doesnt happen at all places, even when your tipping.Other places I've been too, once you tip you never see them again, not here!) Loved my overall experience!

Big rooms

Toilet backflowed gas into the room. Sewage smell is not fun at 5:30am. All the staff did was say they could only credit 50$!! Its a casino!! Comping is famous and all u could do is give me 50$ for a gas leak?? Insane i had to fix it myself by plugging the toilet with plastic bags and vented the room. Also tool 1.5 hours to check in!!!

You had to take a shuttle to the strip. You had to pay either $10 or $20 to check in at 12 or 1 instead of 4.

The pool area, very big lots of places to choose to sit n enjoyed.

Reservation was book online, n still took about an hour to check in,,had to redo the whole reservation on line,,was over charge,,did not notice until checking out,,were the credit was issue n took another 30 minutes.

it was very good for facilities, clean and location as well money.

There aren't enough shuttles to the strip (1 every 30 minutes isn't enough)

Great service. Restaurants very clean with great service. Show for Rat Pack was great. Pleased to find out there was an Aloha Festival the weekend we were there, enjoyed very much!

Beds were a little uncomfortable. One sunk in the middle and the other was uncomfortable.

We were upgraded to a larger suite which was wonderful. Room was very clean and comfortable.

We stayed here on our wedding day and it was the best choice. We have been upgraded to vip for free, and the vip suite was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom included a massage tub and a tv mounted in the mirror. The spa is also very good and some parts are complimentary. The staff was friendly and helpful. For the price we payed it was well above expectations. Would stay there again.

The place is too big, which makes finding the parking lot difficult. Compared to luxury standards, the room and the spa were not clean enough. We received a gift package and it was not at front desk, but at a separate ups store and we had to pay for pick-up.
