We have been staying for the past 11 years for our Anniversary. There was a lovely fruit and cheese plate waiting for us in our room. It was great to see familiar faces such as Penny and Celeste. We love the smell of the autumn fire, the friendliness of the staff and how they manage to update the hotel and property without changing it.
We came to the inn for, some personal peace and renewal. My husband has been diagnosed with cancer and the Inn fulfilled all of our needs. The staff are wonderful and food marvelous and the beds so comfortable. We are planning to return at the end of his treatments
The hotel gave me the name of a taxi service which was excellent. The ride to the reception in Yarmouth and back to the hotel was about 20 minutes so we were happy that we were able to arrange AB taxi (Dan was great). The shops were two blocks from the hotel. We loved shopping at LL Bean. Thank you for a great experience! Theresa and Jack from Boston!

Everything about this hotel is excellent. We loved it 22 years ago and it's just got better!
Location to shops Room: clean, cozy, comfy sleep Facilities: fireplace, comfy chairs everywhere. Pool & Gym: nice and clean Breakfast: selection of hot and cold food, fresh oj. Restaurant: went to the Tavern, great meals
None: we stayed only for one night... if you can stay here 2,3 nights.
The location and staff are excellent, as well as the included breakfast.
We stayed in the bridal suite. There was nothing special about it other than a picture of a bride. The decor is dated as was the carpet and couch in the elevator lobby. The water pressure in the shower was a mere trickle, so using the tub was out.
Excellent location within easy walking to LL Bean and other shops.
The beds were too short for a 6 ft male and not particularly comfortable at that. The smoke alarm began "chirping" about 5:30 am and continued until afternoon. (Supposedly a technician was going to correct the problem very shortly but apparently had to be called in from Portland probably.)
Service was excellent! Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Complexity of getting to our room (2nd floor). Vibrating noise which occurred, we think from above us, as we were trying to get to sleep
A truly superb New England inn. Every detail was virtually perfect. Can't wait for an excuse to pass through Freeport again and stay there. Great staff. Great afternoon tea and breakfast. Great room. Great restaurant(s). The owners should give seminars on how to do this thing.
We liked that breakfast & afternoon tea were included each day. We also liked to have the sheets turned down each evening & the chocolate starfish! We liked the soft sheets & that the room was clean! Thank you!
Everything was top notch. I cannot think of a thing that could be improved. We liked everything about the hotel.
I loved the tavern.
Perfect spot to rest before and after dropping kids at camp. We loved the convenience of the stores and there were some terrific places to eat. Was great. Loved having a glass of wine outside on patio.
The breakfast was fabulous! The staff was very friendly. The grounds were very pretty.
The Harraseeket staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They go our of their way to be of service. The room was clean and more than comfortable. The Victorian Inn atmosphere is lovely as are the gardens. The breakfast, which is included with the room stay, is really excellent. This is not your typical "continental breakfast" included with your room. There is a wonderful selection from pastry to cold cereal to oatmeal to eggs, fritattas, bacon and french toast or pancakes. There is also freshly squeezed juice. Our stay was really lovely. Great place!!
Lovely Inn,right on Main Street.we arrived by train and were met, and transported to the hotel very efficiently.good restaurant with excellent value wine list. We were delighted with our lobster entree we selected. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable.
Only down side in our room was the blast from the air conditioner when it came on during the night. Would be even better stay if the noise could be reduced.
Where do I start? The room, the bed, the sheets and towels, the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, the breakfasts were delicious, the afternoon teas were a wonderful "pick-me-up" in the afternoon (kept us going until a slightly later supper - our preference. Simply a wonderful experience and one that we will definitely repeat! Thanks!!
The fan in our bathroom was extremely loud. I believe it must have been in need of some maintenance.
Proximity to shopping area; food was great, staff personable, breakfast buffet had assortment of choices, orange juice was the best!
Can't think of anything I didn't like
The hotel and Tavern staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our king room and dinner.
Beautiful grounds, nice flowers, excellent area for parking. It was great to be able to be close enough to walk to all of the stores and restaurants in the area. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.(loved their yogurt and homemade granola)
can't think of a thing! I must be easy to please.
Booking service hype that there were only two rooms left when in fact there were a large number of rooms available.
people very friendly
We loved the Victorian styling, fireplaces,Tavern and restaurant, the entire room, view of the gardens and the ability to have an outdoor fire when having a few drinks at night. The staff were exceptional,Maine hospitality at its finest!
