The man on the desk. Cleanliness of room
One remote for TV did not work
Was able to walk to most of the things I wanted to see
Our room looked out onto a brick wall, the lighting was dingy and outside and just below our room were some very noisy air conditioning units. We had to buy ear plugs!
The hotel is perfectly located for walking to all the major sites of Washington DC. The on site restaurants of Harriet's (for breakfast) and Harry's (for dinner) were great.
The room was very small, was difficult to fit two suitcases in the room and have room to walk in it, wifi was terrible - could only connect late at night
Best thing about this hotel was it's location
While old, the hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are sparse and small but clean and being a few blocks from the White House, you cannot beat the price. The a/c is incredibly weak so I would think twice before staying during the summer, but that is the only complaint I can make. We had a delightful stay and were within easy walking distance from all the major sights.
Location location location
, Place was ok
The Wi Fi isn't to use, very, very, very slow.
Very central location in front of Pen station.
Hotel is old and not maintained well. We found socks belonging to previous guests on the floor.
Location. Tea facilities in room.
Lovely spacious rooms
The interior is like 100 years old. It adds it charm, but I wouldn't be staying more than 1 night.
Most of all we liked the location and nice ladies at the reception. They were really good.
Hotel was a little sparse with coffee and toileteries
All that Washington offered ant hotel was ideally situated for getting around
Lights switch by door won't turn off without flipping switch numerous times. Lamp on desk went out at random times. Windows did nothing to stop street noise, noisy in room all night.
Poor wi-fi connection and the hotel needs updating.
Location, staff, and food were excellent.
The most horrable hotel we ever tried! There was repair works (drilling and melting) behind the next wall building at 3 am!!! The front desk personnel said that they can not do anything with that on my claim to repair sound!!!
Room at back had ventilation fans operating outside all the time. Quite loud and could affect some residents
excellent location, close to all places of interest but invest in good walking shoes!! Friendly staff. This is by no means a 4* but it was ideal for us. If you want 4* pay double down the road
A bit tatty and tired but location and likes above outweighed this. Harriet's breakfast terrible In The Attached restaurant.
Location, big room, good shower, friendly staff, price, comfy beds.
The room smelt musty and smokey but after we left the window open it was fine.
Front desk staff were very helpful. The souvenir shop was cheap compared to outside stores.
Very poor wifi.
The location is very good. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable.
Had reservations for a week, moved out after the 1st day. Moved to the Hilton.
The shabby decor at the hotel can be forgiven bearing in mind the price. However, the uniformly surly attitude of the staff and the appalling wi-gi coverage can not be.
The hotel is very centrally located for easy access to the major tourist areas.
There was no stopper in the bathtub. Doors were hard to close. Wifi connections were not good. Bed springs were not good.
location was really good!We coud visit many places on foot. There were many kinds of restaurants around.
