Score from 80 reviews Superb
The room was small and a bit musky, but, for a historic building it was understandable. Le being right next to the square and whiskey row makes it a great place to stay.
The friendly atmosphere and the the building itself.
walking up the stairs, I'm 68 yrs old.
Location Staff were very friendly
Difficult parking. Had to walk 3 flights of steps to get to room. They have an elevator, but it can only be used with the staff running. While a historical elevator has ambiance, there is no ambiance about climbing the stairs because you cannot run the elevator.
All the comforts in an early 1900,s property, situated in the center of scenic Prescott!
Great, friendly staff! Best location.
Very small bathrooms.
Clean, comfortable king bed with luxurious bedding. Period furnishings with the modern touch of a flat-screen tv. Nice view of the courtyard and fountain from our room. Appreciated the bottled water in the room.
A/C was pretty noisy and set at 72º so it came on pretty frequently during the night. We were unable to set it to a different temp. We could only turn it on or off. Also, when we went down for breakfast around 9:30 the next morning, we sat outside in the courtyard after being assured at the front desk that someone would be out shortly to take our order. When no one showed after ten minutes, we went back inside to eat. We were quickly given a cup of coffee and then waited at least ten minutes for someone to take our order. It was after 10:00 by the time we got our food. Since check-out time is 11:00, we felt rushed. Not a good way to start the day.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The original elevator was cool. Would stay here again.
The beauty of the building Location Windows that open Friendly staff
Mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable
Interesting hotel with lots of atmosphere and an art deco interior appropriate for the 1920's era when the place was built. Restaurant was recently remodeled and meals (dinner and breakfast) were outstanding.
For those less mobile, there are lots of steps and stairs to navigate.
Location , and staff.
To small, to expensive, and to old (that musty small)
WiFi was terrible.
having to wait for someone to operate the elevator
History was Great
I wouldn't walk on the carpet without shoes on due to filth. I have allergies with pet dander, woke up and had to leave immediately due to them, couldn't get the elevator to come to the 4th floor at 6 a.m. after ringing multiple times. I had to carry bags down the stairs.
The heavy set red head did not leave her post to work the elevator we were unable to walk up the stair walking down was no problem.
Kind and helpful staff, delicious food in the restaurant, attentive restaurant staff, comfortable bed, charming and old-fashioned but with modern comforts.
I liked everything!!!
This place is close to town square with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel has a fun history and a quiet bar to relax in.
Sound travels between rooms and guests can hear their neighbor's voices.
Location to downtown Prescott - everything we did was in walking distance. The historic aspects of the hotel are interesting. I like the King Suite set-up.
It had a funny smell. Needs paint and maybe new carpet?
Enjoyed our room and the outside patio. Staff was very friendly!
Hotel staff were wonderful! Could hear live music from the courthouse and it was close to restaurants and shops. The view of the mountains, sunset and town square was beautiful!
The food was excellent and the service was too.
The stairs were difficult for my husband but the staff was always very helpful.
The atmosphere was authentic
TV was basic out dated
Warmth of the staff. Quality of the food in the restaurant. Even though the rooms were smaller than we were used to, they had everything we needed and were very charmingly furnished very much in keeping with the style of the building.
Having to call a member of staff to activate the lift for us. We felt guilty having to disturb them. Unfortunately I was unable to manage the stairs and was therefore reliant on the lift. The fact that the lift, the lobby, the bar and the restaurant were all on different levels, it made it a bit difficult for me to move around but it was always worth the effort.
I loved the historical location, staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent restaurant located right in the hotel.
My only critique is walking down the stairs. I probably could have called staff to work the elevators, but I didn't want to bother them, because they were so nice!!!
