Location and staff are the bright spots of this resort.
Very disappointing in our room, experienced Daytona traveler and this was my worst experience to date. Had booked a king studio (guaranteed) received two doubles, perfect for that romantic get away and not near as pretty as the photos on the website! Kitchen was severely outdated and received multiple electrocutions from the oven, poorly stocked kitchen and no hot water in the tub/shower (warm at best) and no water pressure, using tub would take more than 25' to fill and cool water. Never going back
They had lots to do. Golf, shuffle board, beach indoor and outdoor pools. Great tiki bar w/burgers. Good prices in the gift shop. Evening show that we did not get to see because we did have time. Will go back.
The place is an older building. It is not 5 star. But it is clean. Matress not so good. Volume on tv worked some time. Only there one night so it was no big deal. We will go back.
Room was dirty, TV's very old, Room looked nothing like the picture on Booking.com. Not going to list everything because it makes me mad. Not a nice place to stay.
I loved being on ground level and being able to step in and out with ease. We all loved the heated pool especially at night
The carpet was disgusting and dirty No towel racks
Our room was very nice.
The hotel need upgrading.
view from room was ok.
spot lights over pool/ court yard stayed on all night, severely impacted our view. the room was not what i'd requested and the sofa in our suite was completely warn out. we ended up going to a restaraunt to visit instead of staying in our room because it was so uncomfortable. definitely not worth the money I paid. Just about ruined our experience for the weekend
The location and heated pool
The futon couch was miserably uncomfortable springs sticking up with no padding. The person in the room next to us was loud and on balcony smoking pot. I would of expected to pay econo lodge rates for this hotel not 79 a night. Highly dissapointed.
Ocean front was nice !
Rooms were not nice , beds , rest rooms , water went from hot to cold , sheets had hair on them ! Wouldn' t go back !
We loved the location of our room and how updated it was. Right on the beach!
We were never able to get ice. From anywhere! And coffee was outrageously expensive
The location was good. The outdoor pool are - great. The pool deck was washed every single morning and the grounds kept up very well. The Tiki Bar.... Good, strong, relatively cheap drinks, but in the off season (Oct) get there before 8 PM when they close - that holds true for all local resorts. The room - size was good, beds were good. Nice, wood framed futons in the living room. Flat screen TVs.
Towels. The lack of, and had to inspect each one. Kinda ratty, some stained. Asked 3 separate evenings for extras and there were none to be had. Always had to request extra TP too. No cleaning products in the kitchen, bring your own? No dishwasher wish is fine but no dish soap, we didn't use any dishes since we didn't know how the previous person cleaned them and bought paper. Things need improving are the kitchen, everything is outdated, cabinets don't close correctly, sink uneven due to countertop being lopsided.
No heat No hot water Rusty appliances Tile floor Lizard running around in room Nothing looked clean ETC
Sweet staff, beautiful views, nice room.
We loved every minute we had at the Hawaiian Inn. My mom is 81 and wants her ashes scattered on Daytona Beach so I wanted to bring her to Dayton before that time. The view of the ocean was awesome, the staff was friendly and helpful and housekeeping did a great job. Through Booking.com the room was very reasonable. We loved it all. Thank you God, Booking.com and Daytona Beach Hawaiian Inn for a wonderful vacation.
Big room , Decent Kitchen , Nice view of ocean !!!
Terrible hard as rock beds made sleeping nearly impossible !!! Bottom of entry door was in need of repair as well as the bathroom door , You could see under both doors easily. also slider door on balcony was very hard to lock and unlock !!!
Everything was great
I did not have any dislikes
The pool area.
Our room! And the staff did nothing to make our stay any better, even after bringing things to their attention, TWICE! My husband works so hard and this vacation we decided on Daytona for our vacation. Poor choice of hotels made this feel as if we wasted our hard earned money. And I'm sure this review will get about as far as our complaints did. Nowhere.
It was cute and fun on the beach
I hate the 4 p.m. check in that's way to late. And the parking was very tight
view was great
roaches, dirty, old and worn, bad tv, vhs player, no parking, management was no help at all. planed and saved all year and am very unhappy.
The 5th floor balcony view was beautiful. The beds in room 520 were quite comfortable. Our kitchenette was reasonably equipped . The pool was immaculate and the noise nominal.
Horrible (room) housekeeping! The bathroom and kitchenette floors were sticky and carpet was dirty- it made me want to keep my shoes on. 2 of our 3 day stay Housekeeping took the dirty towels and didn't bring clean one's. I had to request.
The view was excellent. The staff was friendly.
Not only was there not complementary coffee in the room, but there was none in the lobby at 7am, I was told the restaraunt would open at 8am. That bothered me for $200 a night.
The view and the fact we had a balcony. The pool and tiki bar were nice too. Parking was easy.
The round about way to get to the room. Used the steps most of the time which was fine except with luggage I needed hangers for clothing and they didn't have any. I was supposed to do dishes I guess but had no dish soap or dish towels
The lobby and the outside area looked very nice and made me feel like I was getting what I was looking for.
The room left a lot to be desired. The picture I saw showed a separation between the kitchen and the bed. Our room did NOT have that. It wasn't as shown when I booked the room. If it wasn't for the ocean front room, it wouldn't have been worth it.
I loved how beautiful the hotel was.
Valerie in housekeeping was the sweetest person and no reqest was too small and always taken care of, she is a keeper. Tpollifer at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with and alwas had a smile and was soooo helpful and put us in a beautiful oceanfront studio. Michel, the general manager was very friendly and helpful and takes her job seriously and will take the best care of you.....I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and didn't want to leave except had a previous committment but I will be back. Thank you sooooo much Hawaiian Inn.
The woman running the Tiki Bar repremanding a hotel employee in front of a bar full (including me and my friend) of customers, she should have pulled this person to the side and done it in private instead of yelling at him across the pool deck.
Location is great. Front office people were very friendly and helpful when we an issue.
This hotel seems a bit dated. Also we had issues with things that we should not have such as: having to ask for wash clothes because they didn't put them in our room. There was no dish soap so you have to wonder when the last time they were washed. And no soap. I suggest to stay elsewhere.
