We loved every minute we had at the Hawaiian Inn. My mom is 81 and wants her ashes scattered on Daytona Beach so I wanted to bring her to Dayton before that time. The view of the ocean was awesome, the staff was friendly and helpful and housekeeping did a great job. Through Booking.com the room was very reasonable. We loved it all. Thank you God, Booking.com and Daytona Beach Hawaiian Inn for a wonderful vacation.
Big room , Decent Kitchen , Nice view of ocean !!!
Terrible hard as rock beds made sleeping nearly impossible !!! Bottom of entry door was in need of repair as well as the bathroom door , You could see under both doors easily. also slider door on balcony was very hard to lock and unlock !!!
Everything was great
I did not have any dislikes
The pool area.
Our room! And the staff did nothing to make our stay any better, even after bringing things to their attention, TWICE! My husband works so hard and this vacation we decided on Daytona for our vacation. Poor choice of hotels made this feel as if we wasted our hard earned money. And I'm sure this review will get about as far as our complaints did. Nowhere.
It was cute and fun on the beach
I hate the 4 p.m. check in that's way to late. And the parking was very tight
view was great
roaches, dirty, old and worn, bad tv, vhs player, no parking, management was no help at all. planed and saved all year and am very unhappy.
The 5th floor balcony view was beautiful. The beds in room 520 were quite comfortable. Our kitchenette was reasonably equipped . The pool was immaculate and the noise nominal.
Horrible (room) housekeeping! The bathroom and kitchenette floors were sticky and carpet was dirty- it made me want to keep my shoes on. 2 of our 3 day stay Housekeeping took the dirty towels and didn't bring clean one's. I had to request.
The view was excellent. The staff was friendly.
Not only was there not complementary coffee in the room, but there was none in the lobby at 7am, I was told the restaraunt would open at 8am. That bothered me for $200 a night.
The view and the fact we had a balcony. The pool and tiki bar were nice too. Parking was easy.
The round about way to get to the room. Used the steps most of the time which was fine except with luggage I needed hangers for clothing and they didn't have any. I was supposed to do dishes I guess but had no dish soap or dish towels
The lobby and the outside area looked very nice and made me feel like I was getting what I was looking for.
The room left a lot to be desired. The picture I saw showed a separation between the kitchen and the bed. Our room did NOT have that. It wasn't as shown when I booked the room. If it wasn't for the ocean front room, it wouldn't have been worth it.
I loved how beautiful the hotel was.
Valerie in housekeeping was the sweetest person and no reqest was too small and always taken care of, she is a keeper. Tpollifer at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with and alwas had a smile and was soooo helpful and put us in a beautiful oceanfront studio. Michel, the general manager was very friendly and helpful and takes her job seriously and will take the best care of you.....I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and didn't want to leave except had a previous committment but I will be back. Thank you sooooo much Hawaiian Inn.
The woman running the Tiki Bar repremanding a hotel employee in front of a bar full (including me and my friend) of customers, she should have pulled this person to the side and done it in private instead of yelling at him across the pool deck.
Location is great. Front office people were very friendly and helpful when we an issue.
This hotel seems a bit dated. Also we had issues with things that we should not have such as: having to ask for wash clothes because they didn't put them in our room. There was no dish soap so you have to wonder when the last time they were washed. And no soap. I suggest to stay elsewhere.
Luau, location, value
In the two weeks we stayed, our floors were never scrubbed.
Location was great
Didn't know there were condo owners/separate entity. Rude people. We didn't have patio chairs on our first floor pool side room. We used 2 chairs that were unoccupied. You would think we had committed a crime. We were very embarrassed. They made us feel like we were an intrusion on their property.
Hotel needs to be remodeled
The hotel's location was very good. It was very close to the ocean & the pool area was fantastic. The hotel's staff was good & our housekeeper was fantastic. Vehicle parking was good and accessable.
This hotel is very old & was being renovated. All of the manual door locks (deadbolt-front & back doors) were rusted solid & were unusable. Was able to free the backdoor via wd40 & some "elbow grease". No hotel security. A/c not working very well. No curtains on the front windows. Paid for a "king" bed-got an "almost queen-size". Sheets did not fit & would not stay on the bed. 1 sofa in the family-room, no other furniture to relax on (2 dining chairs & 1 very small table). No patio furniture. Drunks at the "Tiki" bar until late every night. No security on the property. Property needs major work for us to return. Will stay with the Hampton group as we always have & should have this time.
Ocean Front with balcony. Beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable. Nice stay for the money. Nice amenities. Huge pool was nice. Enjoyed the live music at the tiki bar. Would definitely recommend it.
The beds were hard and uncomfortable.
Having the beachfront to look out at
location Being able to see the kids while sunbathing and the TIKI bar. Beach was lovely
We rented 3 rooms for 3 families. Each room was moist on the floors and water dripping from the ceiling. We have to put towels on the floor so the kids would not slip on the wet tiles. TV would not work. No towels available for the pool. Moldy smell in rooms. Not a clean feeling.
We enjoyed our stay. The room, although a bit dated was very comfortable and nice. Our view was beautiful allowing us to sleep with the sliding door open to listen to the ocean and be woke by the sunrise every morning.
The restaurant was not so good and it was a bit pricy because most was a la carte so we has to venture out at some meals. We ran out of toilet paper (there was only part of a roll and no refill when we checked in...trivial until you're the one stuck) had to go get our own. Our toilet stopped working at one point. Maintenance was up to our room within 10 minutes and fixed it.
quiet place view on beach very good
elevator to fifth floor was very small, were ice was location, kitchen was deciecve, refrigator didn't work good iron board was very small, etc
The service was great and the staff was just wonderful. I just had to tip them. Having great customer service one can over look the small things such as cosmetic appearance.
Old carpet and the air condition vent was just filthy.
Ocean-view rooms, well equipped kitchen.
Really dank hallways that smelled musty; did not get the room I booked five months in advance.
The view from the balcony was wonderful. Hotel desk people were extremely helpful and accommodating.
Building was beginning to look a little shabby. The morning we decided to use the pool it was closed for entire day. Advanced knowledge of this would have helped us better plan.
