Has a lake view very pretty view. It was quiet for a relaxing girls weekend out. Close to shopping. Beds were wonderful. Very comfortable. Getting alittle on the older side. Bathrooms could use some updating and it would be nice.

The beds & pillows were very comfortable. Being able to set the AC/heating to a specific temperature was very nice as well. The room was very spacious and would have accommodated 4 adults very easily if our children had been invited to come with us. Everything was clean. The lighting over the bath sink was dim. The room was set on AC when we first arrived and the room was almost colder than the outside temperature of that particular date (3/23/13). The set up for the suitcase stand, refrigerator, and the desk were very odd and awkward as well. I am not accustomed to a room where the door does not lock automatically when I exit was "old fashioned" and should be changed as soon as funds are available to a new key card system or something similar. Having a guide to TV channels would have been very helpful, especially for the weather. Signage would be helpful on where to find ice, vending machines, etc.

Very little. The staff was helpful and friendly when there. The location as was near the family we were visiting. After the 1st nite the staff were not present when needed. No heat the first night. Did not know this until midnite. Moved to second room which was ok but get in late evening and nothing but snow on the tv even if did get a picture. The Inn next door Hot tub, which would have used, was closed for repair. Not what we are used to in a place advertised as resort. Need a discount of some sort

Close to "Things to do" but somewhat quiet-couldn't hear road noise. The building was "Old", (But Clean) The floors squeeked Could hear TV's from another room,(thankfully, it was off by 10 P.M.) Photos on internet Web site appeared to make room, more larger than it was. Very steep steps,(no elevater) to upper level...hard for a 70 year old, with bad legs to make it. However ,Staff did change me to a lower level room.

It was close to a lot of attractions in the area and the staff was great/very friendly. Bed was super comfortable and pool was perfect temperature. It was over 100 degrees outside the duration of our stay, but our room was nice and cold! No hair dryer in room and had to wait until office opened (at 8 am) to get one. No extra blankets in room and had to wait several hours to get the one I asked for. There is no "continental breakfast"...only donuts. No coffeemaker in room until last day there. Pool was difficult to get in/out of.

The price for our three night stay in this wonderfully located Lodge over looking The Lakes Of The Ozarks was less than expected. The views of the lake was great and within walking distance. And the gorgeous swimming pool was very relaxing. But the most comfortable thing in this room was the beds. Tooo comfortable!! Upon arrival & checkin we were informed the room we had reserved did not have either a refrigerator nor a microwave. So we had to pack up and move to another room on another floor. Were told that none of the rooms are furnished with microwaves as advertised and only some rooms have refrigerators. The rooms needed a good deep cleaning and regular bug spraying. Small spiders were observed in a web both before and after housekeeping had cleaned our room. Unfortunately the walking surface around the pool area was done with lava looking rock was very painful to walk on bare foot.

The room smelled musty..the free breakfast consisted of small oj containers, milk, yogurt and mini store bought Danishes. Not family friendly for children - rooms are small and only have small walkout. Needs updating and work done interior and exteriorly.

We chose The Hawk's Nest Lodge because it was very budget friendly and had good online reviews. Housekeeping straightened our bed each day while we were gone and supplied fresh towels. When we got to the Lodge, we checked in and were directed to our room. When we opened the door, we were met with a wall of heat (we stayed in mid-January). The window unit had apparently been turned on when the room had been cleaned hours earlier, and because it was an old, non-digital wall unit, it doesn't shut off once it reaches a specific temperature. I would guess that the room was roughly 85 degrees. We had to prop our room door open to air it out, which made us feel uncomfortable. The room lamp is connected to the light switch, but must be turned on at the lamp base in order for the switch to work- when we got there, the lamp switch was off so we had to fumble in the dark to figure out how to get a light to come on. After putting away our things, we noticed that there was no iron or ironing board in the room, so we called housekeeping; they originally brought an iron, but no ironing board, so we had to wait while they went and got the board. Common sense says we would need both. The toilet was also not working properly; about every other flush, we had to take the lid off of the tank and lift the chain for the toilet to flush, and then it wouldn't suction properly and would continue running until we fixed it again. The sink counter was bowed considerably, and the television did not work properly. The two TV guide pamphlets were also not correct. There was a large candy wrapper under the bed that shifted into visibility during our first evening. We typically ran out of hot water during morning showers. I wish there would have been a clock of some sort in the room. We were in town for a conference, and saw the room of another couple there for the conference- they had a clock and microwave, both that we did not, however they did not have any hangers and we did. I'm concerned because we paid the same rate for our supposedly identical rooms.

People were constantly drinking alcohol at the pool & on the deck so my family did not get to enjoy swimming in the pool during our stay. These people were loud and I did not want to submit my teenage daughters to this. Saturday night, a group of 4 or 5 guys were drunk and loud at the pool until 3 am which kept me and my family awake.

Price was right. Comfortable beds. Convenient location for our activities this trip. Loud air conditioner. Continental breakfast pretty minimal & didn't open 'til 8 am. (Sened late to us & then when it was only coffee & two kinds of small frozen muffins or a small pastry, we were disappointed.

Hawk's Nest Lodge was a comfortable room. It was simple and basic, but had a fridge, microwave, and some of the best water pressure in the shower I've ever had. The cleanliness of the room could have been better. There was hair in the bathroom drain and I think the floor could have been vacuumed better.

The manager did her best to have the bathroom toilet repaired and arranged a room for us at the adjoining motel for the second evening. She even gave us a breakfast coupon worth $19.00. Upon entering our room for the first time the toilet didn't flush. I took the lid off the bowl thinking I might be able to repair it myself. The inside lever was so rusted I was afraid it would crack off in my hand. Even when repaired it would not double flush until a 15-20 min. Wait. The bed was terrible and I could not walk the next day. The air had to be on to keep from freezing but it blew across the room making sleeping tough. The restaurant next door had no fruit except melons. They forgot half of my wife's order(no scrambled eggs with her French toast) and brought out bacon was not acceptable when we ordered it extra crispy. We both ordered juice but no water was brought out even though we were waiting over an hour and the juice was gone. They were not busy as there were only a few tables needing service. We were behind a party of ten, however, and there must have been only one cook so our stay in the restaurant was 80-90 min. I'm sure the party would not have minded if they had taken our order first. In fact, the last two of their party were coming in right after us and pushed by us for the rest of their party was already seated. We would have left but the breakfast was complimentary and we kept thinking it would come out. It was the worst experience we've ever had, but the view was good even for winter. We would recommend Osage Beach but not The Hawk's Nest or adjoining hotel restaurant. Restaurants sometimes operate better when they are busy for they all have to hustle. These "guys" only had one speed and exercised poor judgement.

The beds were comfortable. The sheets were not changed on a daily basis. And we were only given 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 days for 2 people. When they came in to clean the room all they did was empty the trash cans, and replaced the dirty towels and washcloths, but only replaced 1 set. Good thing we had extra towels from the day before. Also, there lobby is only opened until 6 PM., they give you a number to contact their sister hotel, which we did not have to do, but I'm wondering what the sister hotel could do for you if for instance, you lost your room key, or needed more toilet paper?
