Room size and value for money.

Facility was very nice. Rooms beautiful

I couldn't stay longer

Half of the outlets did not work. The sofa was broken, the breakfast was horrible. The bathroom had nothing. Not even a little table to put your watch or put a towel on.

Very large rooms, spacious for my family. Amenities were wonderful

Pool was unacceptably cold to be enjoyed. Staff stated that it should have been at 84 degrees. If it was more than 76 degrees I would have been surprised.

We were welcomed by friendly staff, a clean hotel and a great room all for an amazing price! We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool since IL weather is a bit cold for a spring break :-)

I made reservations way ahead of time (several weeks) and they didn't have my rooms when I got there with a van full of youth group kids. Very upsetting. Then, they did not plan for being sold out and therefore, we had to take our kids elsewhere for breakfast. Very poor experience.

The room was very big and beds were nice and comfy. The front desk staff were very friendly. I must say when we checked out the gentleman was very puzzled when we wanted to pay cash. He stated that the office was closed so he didn't have change. We did pay cash eventually.

The bathroom was mess- dirty shower and chip crumbs on the floor. The included breakfast was less than balanced, no egg option, no fruit. 2% milk no skim or chocolate. Maybe they ran out I'm not sure but we were there at 7:30.

Suite style allowed for more flexibility with meals and the room was large enough for the four of us. Location was great and close to drug stores, hospitals, grocery store and food.

Bathroom could have used more attention, wasn't as clean as I liked. Indoor pool was not heated and breakfast was not completely set up on the weekend.

The queen suite was spacious with a kitchenette, desk area and a small living room.

The room was tired and dirty. We could hear the people above us walking around.

The room was very big as hotel rooms go very impressed with size. Great for a family. Breakfast was good

Room was dirty. Food in fridge from previous guest. Bathroom had dirty washcloths on the sink, used bar of soap and shampoo bottle in the tub. Used qtip on the sink. Person at the front desk did not seem to concerned about it. No apology or any response except she would let management know. Room an beds appeared clean Would recommend but have them check room for cleanliness first. We were tired from our drive and lateness if arrival.

The size of the room-- the spaciousness, the height of the ceiling. After the Microtel room the night before, your suite was. . .sweet!

We were looking forward to a hot breakfast but was disappointed. As it had been there a long time so it wasn't very hot. We were not late going for breakfast ..

It was dirty, there were bugs in the bathroom, it obviously had not been dusted for a very long time. We set the airconditioner on 60 and it still was very warm in our room. The mattresses are worn out as well as the pillows. We will never stay at this hotel on our travels to Chicago again.

The rooms were very clean and recently renovated. The breakfast offered several choices. Overall very good experience.

Spacious room and comfortable bed.

Wasn't as clean as I'd like to see. Lighting in bath and vanity area not good enough for makeup application.

Hawthorn is an older suite hotel but its rooms hold up very well versus competitors in the same price range. You simply won't find a better room for the price, but it's not the newest or best in town.

- The access road is awkward and the hotel is right next to a freeway (it may be noisy on one side) - This place has been cheaply 'adapted' for modern travelers, such as by converting a conference room to a fitness room (with office chairs and a wet bar!). The carpets are threadbare and stained in places, etc. - The free breakfast is poor to fair, and the hotel often ran out of basic foods (e.g., no coffee one day, watery fruit juice, no yogurt some days, etc.)

Convenient location.

My room was too close to the highway resulting in too much road noise in the room at night. Heat/AC unit was right next to the bed resulting in too much noise at night.

Very comfortable, relaxing place to stay.

Did not have any hot water in bathroom.

The size of the rooms were great. Very spacious. Also some hot breakfast.

A new bar has been added allowing guests to buy drinks, appetizers, light meals.
