took a while for the room to get warm after turning on the heat
The staff is awesome and very accommodating. We had an issue with the heat in our room and they immediately changed our room.
Our first room didn't have heat and our second room, we couldn't shut the heat off.
Room was good
The fact when I ask why our room was not cleaned at 5pm after being out all day and no clean towels I asked the house keeper told me no refresh this weekend no towels she had to do laundry not happy at all why didn't front desk advise us at check in
I like everything about this hotel the staff is very friendly wr would be staying here again
They're is nothing for this
I brought my large, but well-behaved dog. The staff made sure the dog got a plastic goody bag with treats upon check-in. My room was very quiet and spacious. The bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing, and there wasn't much seating.
Staff very accommodating.
Entrance should be better marked with more lighting, or sign.
Room was big and very nice
Some hallways where not clean
My husband and I, found our 2 week stay comfortable and cosy. Our room was clean and fresh. The breakfast was good; there was something for everyone. The facilities were also good; the room came equipped with all the things you would need in order to make full use of the kitchenette, my husband enjoyed the gym and I loved spending time with him at the gazebo on summer nights. Having the laundry facilities was very convenient for us also. The staff were courteous; particularly Tanisha (breakfast attendant) she always had a welcoming smile and a positive energy. The general Manager Amit deserves ample recognition also; he was extremely accommodating. He went out of his way to help everytime and it was always a pleasure to engage in a conversation with him. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and found that the location was perfect for our needs, as it was close to the highways and had plenty of choice for food within minutes (via car). I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.
It only has one elevator
Clean and convenient. We were able to cook in the room which made our meriden stay very economical
Kitchenette inside the room
The supplies during the breakfast were short - one day, coffee was out, the other day, the yogurt and another day, the milk for cereals, I have to ask or wait, i stayed there for 5 nights
When I made my reservation, I requested a high quiet floor. That information was on my reservation and it was granted. In addition, I asked for extra time to check out. I was given an additional 30 minutes. I found the bathroom to be quite nice and void of an annoying loud exhaust fan.
The complimentary breakfast area was a little too small.
The value for the money was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast with others in the food service area.
The bed was too close to the wall on one side. Made it hard for me to get in and out of bed.
I have stayed here many times when it was Candlewood Suites and it was starting to get run down but now that its the Hawthorne Suites it has been updated. Pleasant staff and very nice facility with a decent breakfast. Especially nice traveling with our dog.
The staff was excellent and the room clean
The dirty laundry that was left out in the hallway for hours, the trash cans to small and the maids left bags of trash in the hallways for hours, It smelt like a bar because they allowed drunks to drink in the dining area
The wireless internet service was terrible. It was like a dial-up phone modem. When I complained, the staff gave me a vague answer about ".... Missing part." If you need high speed internet, don't go here.
