very nice and well keep rooms
carpets needed replaced, and there where some issues with the fabric on the couch back ,the room felt a bit crowed with the placement of the tables.
They have a lot of nerve! There no pots pans or utensils in the room! The carpet and couch was full of stains. The tub had hair in it that was not mine! Then to top it off they accused me of suspicious activity!!! I would never stay at this place again!!
The sofa bed was not comfortable plus the matterss had holes in it, to the point that we changed our room due to that, the second room was a bit better.
It's a good value for the money.
The room was in serious need of updating. Duct tape? Really?
It was a nice comfy suite. It was very clean and a great value for the price. There's a free hot breakfast in the morning and i it was actually good so that's always a plus. I slept very comfortably in the queen size bed and you can tell the linen was fresh and the room was recently cleaned. I would definitely recommend this property
Business trip to Columbus for the Wizarf World Con. Great accommodations for the price and easy access to interstate to get to event. Close to grocery and convenient stores. Helpful and pleasant staff.
The sofa bed was disgusting
They charge $275 extra because we're locals. You don't find out until after you check in. The coffee pot was rusted inside and out. No spoons 2 forks in the kitchen. Don't stay here they're not holding up to the standards. I would try homewood suites before bookings with Hawthorne any day
The railway close by disturbed in the morning when train rolled by.
The place was run down you could here the people upstairs. The lady at the front desk was rude when I ask her about the room not being clean and no clean towels
Our room was run down and needed some updating. Carpet was rather dirty, the bathroom walls were peeling and gross. The room setup was nice and the staff was nice, however. A lot of hotels are run down in this area, so honestly I would probably stay here again. Felt like a safe area. Parking lot is small for anyone with big trucks, trailers, etc.
Staff was very friendly and breakfast was more than enough
Outdated decor and housekeeping could be better
Love the kitchen and refrigerator and microwave The internet kept going off so thAt was annoying There was no Gideon bible and I like that in a hotel room
See above Internet kept going off No bible in the room
Very pleased with stay. Iwould recommend. beds were really nice. The staff very freindly.
The only thing that could have been better was the couch and chair. They were a little small and getting worn out.
spacious Food was good Friendly staff
Needs updating, badly. But comfortable.
Clean, comfortable. Excellent breakfast fare. Competent, friendly staff.
Beds were very comfy and the towels were soft
The furniture was stained, the shower curtain was ripped, floors were sticky and the room was simply filthy. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our requests. But one of the days no one came to bring towels or make beds. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel in the past two years and we will not be back again.
Friendliness of the staff
The hotel needs an upgrade
The room was dusty and lots of visible dirt. the bed was very low to the floor almost had to fall into it and I am only 5'3". The room had a funny odor as well. I would not stay there again.
the concierge was very friendly and welcoming.continental breakfast was refreshed often with reasonable number of options daily. checkout was the most expedient i have ever experienced. even though the location was just off the interstate the traffic noise was very subdued in our suite.
the kitchen had very little utensils or dishes and there were not extra blankets available in the room. also the shower is in need of an update.
Dirty, microwave had not been cleaned. Couch held up by a stack of 2x4's. Stains in tub. Smelled.
Coming to Columbus , to see a sick friend, Was a stressful situation, but the staff and our stay made our stay very nice! Will be back! Very good people! Blessings
Kitchen was not as updated with dishes in the dishwasher and stove quite old. But, again enjoyed our stay so much!
The Price was wonderful (we got it a steal of a killer rate for as many days we were going to be there). The staff was very nice extremely outgoing. they even let us check out wayyy later than our late check out (as long as we turned the key in by 12p we wouldnt be charged for the extra day). I cant remember what it was but I had such an off-beat request for something and they were able to get it for me right away. The hot breakfast was ACES!! Get there early enough and it was like a home cooked breakfast, eggs, bacon, hashbrown/potatoes, make your own waffles (which always came out beautifully golden brown) variety of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, muffins, bagels, and toast, Sweet orange juice, flavorful apple juice, 2%, vit d, & chocolate milks, very fresh and strong coffee, regular and herbal teas. The room was a very good sized room queen with a nice size pull out couch I think we may have had one of the new couches because it looked and felt fairly new. TV had all the channels including premium channels. Wifi very good very strong, each building has their own wifi signal, and they give you the passcode at check in with your key cards. Last but definitely not least, the bed. MAN O MAN That bed..sweet bejeezus wish I could have took it home with us!! Let me put it this way...we came from out of town not far maybe 2-3 hour drive nothing too strenuous or tiring everyday that we were there we almost slept the whole day away and stayed in bed until as late as possible because we would wake up and fall right back to sleep!! even the kids...even the baby, now thats REALLY a big deal !! It was very relaxing with clean white nice smelling sheets (which is a HUGE deal with me) and plenty of pillows I think 4 or 6. The bed was roomy nice and sturdy, firm yet nice and buttery soft that kind that just melts with your body not too it; yet still keeps you nice and firmly protected. AWWW what a joy, if the breakfast or nothing else was worth it, this definitely...
Didnt like the $20.00 extra fee that they tacked on as a deposit charge which nobody initially told us about, nor did they have posted, which overdrew my debit card and declined it, and left me scouring around town for a bank that accepted my co-op credit union (because they dont accept any type of cash payments or deposits), which took all about 2 hours, until I just decide to forget it and come back and use my credit card which I hate using (unless only in cases of emergencies). We also didnt like the sketchy characters that kind of lurked around the area a bit, some appeared to be possible recoveries (which is why I believe is another reason why they tell you several times and then actually have you initial an affidavit stating you understand the fact they have told not to leave ANY personal belonging in you car!), we later found out that there is free vouchers that are given out to the homeless for them to stay there as shelter in some areas sometimes as well. Which leads me to another thing, even though it was the very best thing we enjoyed (the free hot breakfast) you had better get there a little early (not close to closing 9a) otherwise you risk the chance of getting almost nothing at all, as I had seen it with my own eyes two homeless families and a couple and two single gentleman had pretty much cleaned them out of the food (like literally came in with a box to take food back to the room...even though they strongly suggest no food is to leave the area they really dont say anything about you taking food back, especially to other family members that has stayed behind in the rooms) while that cant determine who are actually guest or not there to be eligible to eat hot breakfast (the only way they can determine that is if you have a key to actually open the front door early in the morning to be able to access the front desk area and breakfast area upstairs) is really the only way they believe you are a guest... so when they have their suspicions...
