Ideally situated just minutes from downtown Sacramento and the Sacramento International Airport, this comfortable hotel offers convenient amenities near a variety of attractions and recreational...
Score from 45 reviews Excellent
This is the best value in Sacramento. Close to the airport and minutes from the Capital, downtown, Raley Field, Sleep Train Arena. Comfortable beds, HDTV, micro, fridge, and quiet.
Lack of security and conveniently located vending machines. The property is adjacent to Discovery Park, a prime magnet for the homeless in the area. Twenty years ago, the street was lined by over half dozen fine restaurants and other businesses. Only Dennys is left today.
Poor customer service would think a gold member would be treated much better
Good breakfast with protein dishes every morning. Nice kitchenette area in the large rooms. Comfortable beds.
Water temp fluctuation in the shower, broken shower head and burnt out bulb in the bathroom, but it was replaced with a new one after reported to the front desk.
The hotel was home away from home, and the facilities were okay with the exception of the laundry room that had only one machine working for each of the washer and dryer. Otherwise an okay place to stay.
The lightening at the facilities was a little poor, and I did see a few homeless people during the evening so did not venture out after dark.
The breakfast is exceptionally good, even better than I remembered. This was my second time to stay at this facility. I had great experiences both times and will consider it again if I need a hotel in Sacramento since the value is high relative to the price, esp. their 2-bedroom suites.
Although there is a great pedestrian and bike path very close to the hotel, the closest access point is much farther than the distance to the pathway.
The Mildew-y odor emanating from one of the two baths.
TV not working. In room phones not working. A dirty towel outside our door when we arrived
nothing they won't let me checkin
desk cleck tried to charge for the day before cuz I ask to checkin early
Distance from airport, freeway and downtown Sacramento was great. Offered breakfast every morning. Most hotels only provide breakfast Monday through Friday. Staff was nice, especially the person who checked me out. She asked about my stay and gave me a credit on my bill after me sharing my experience.
If this wasn't a chain hotel, it would be on an episode of Hotel Impossible. My linens were old, stained and torn. Tub has cracked and poorly repaired. Had to lay a towel in the tub to avoid the cracks. Carpets are heavily stained. Chairs and sofas in the rooms are worn and also stained. Recommend wearing shoes at all times.
Everything was excellent. Staff friendly, hot breakfast wonderful and rooms were great.
Check in was simple and fast. The room was very clean and well kept. The bathroom sink and bathtub drains worked perfectly fine. And of course the hot breakfast was just an added bonus.
Breakfast was great. Adding a veg. option would really be nice. Shuttle to Sacramento old downtown was good.
Use better soap/shampoo in the bathroom. Be more vigilant with smokers on campus. I still did see some smokers around.
Spacious room, lots of computer/iPad connections, wi-fi, kitchnette, flat screen TV. It was a great deal for $63 per night.
Breakfast food was average
We liked the full breakfast that was provided, we stayed in the suite with the kitchen and really enjoyed the cookware that was provided in the room.
Even though we liked the cleanness of the room when we arrived, the day after we ask for room service to be done while we were out for a couple of hours it wasn't taken care of until after we returned to the room and had to request room service again.
The bed was like a cloud. Plenty of pillows. Clean rooms, with extra space. The staff was really nice, and the free breakfast really hit the spot.
The Shampoo smelled nasty and was so liquid that it took 10 plus pumps to wash your hair. Is investing the 95 cents for a bottle of V05 really too costly per dispenser? Seriously, just add a $1.00 shampoo surcharge and save yourself the bad reviews. Stop using watered down liquid hand soap that smells like eucalyptus, pot and stale nuts.
-Great location -Has a Gym
-Paper Thin Walls -F Building is for pets but for some reason is also where the staff places the stupid dumb animals called loud obnoxious people.
The staff was welcoming and outstanding. They were on top of room service and cleaniness. Front desk were very prompt and knowledgeable. The room was spacious and comfortable.
I disliked the old bathtub, toilet, and counter tops. They were peeling and sticking to the bar soap. I also had loud residents above me. My room did not have any booklets or information about the hotels ammenities and activities. Nor was information given at check in about the times of breakfast or room service menus. I had to call front desk with every question.
The location was near the freeway. There was a Denny's within walking distance and other businesses. The room was spacious and nicely decorated.
We were next to the entrance so we did hear people coming and going but it was quiet at night. There were two large dark stains on the carpet. The small refrigerator closed with some difficulty. It was in an awkward location.
Comfortable beds, with extra linens and pillows already in the room. They provided a playpen (that they refer to cribs) for the baby. The dining area was nice- just wished they provided information with restaurants that delivered (since they do not have room service)
We were in the D building and they were having conferences next door. They were pretty loud so when we got back to the hotel to relax we couldn't. The conference rooms also kept their doors open for some reason so when we walked by to go to the pool it was a little uncomfortable to say the least.
Lack of dinner restaurants in area. Too many restaurant closings.
Pool is warm! Breakfast morning is awesome!
Overall a very nice hotel and very good value for money,
There were 4 dryers in the laundry room only 1 was serviceable. An "out of order" notice is of little use, if they are aware that these machines are broken why don't they fix them, this is especially crucial in a hotel of this size.
Staff, nice big room, big mirror, comfortable bathroom.
I didn't like the pillows on the bed at all. Also I tried to open window a little bit to get some fresh air but unsuccessfully.
Spacious room and nice breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall facility was nice and a good value for the price.
My key required multiple attempts before working, even after replacement from the front desk. WiFi was not password protected. In room furniture and carpet were very worn. Bed was not comfortable for me.
