Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Universal Orlando, a Sky Hotel & Resort  

The location of this hotel is great, just behind International Drive so a car isn't necessary. There were shuttles to the main theme parks, which was really good. The free breakfast was fine, there was always something nice to eat. We enjoyed the Happy Hour each evening, where we got a free drink (wine, beer or soft drink) and some pretzels.

The hotel is looking a bit tired and needs a freshen up. There was a strange smell in our room, but it certainly wasn't bad enough to complain about. The breakfast room needs to be enlarged as there was sometimes nowhere to sit and eat breakfast.

My stay was very good,The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable with a kitchen in the room, we were able to have some things in the fridge for the morning, even though there was a free breakfast included in the main lobby. The breakfast was pretty good, and the woman serving the hot food was friendly. There was a social time each night which included free drinks (2) I didn't get a chance to participate, but it looked like people were enjoying it as I passed by. Overall I would stay there again. The price was definitely worth the stay!!!!

They put a hold on my account for $202.00 and $113.00 for no apparent reason, When I called to ask why there were extra "pending" charges to my account, I was told the manager was not there and to call back in the next day. I waited to see how long it would take before the funds were released it and it took 4 days!!, But they did eventually release the hold.

Suites are very spacious, clean, nice bathroom, hot breakfast is good, each day they change the menu which is good, good located nearby the International-drive and a short drive to Universal Studios /Island of Adventure, Citywalk and a wide arrange of dining options in the neighbourhood. All by all, excellent and I would definetely stay again at this hotel/suite.

Staff initially was very accomodating, allowing us to check in early. Had a maintenance problem and the guy was there immediately to fix it. We went to Universal Studios and it was very close. Complimentary breakfast was fabulous!

Room smelled like fresh paint, but we didnt' complain. Tv and phone didn't work initially, but fixed as soon as we let them know. No tv list, so referred to front desk. Was given one there, but asked for current hbo list also. Man said he would have to ask someone else about them, but then didn't do anything. Convenience store didnt' have any more regular pepsi, just diet. Couldn't find any other soda machines. Shuttle to Universal left 1/2 hour after park opened and returned before closing, so we drove ourselves instead of using shuttle.

The pool area was nice, the staff was helpful, the breakfastbuffet was also good, the size of the room was rather big, the location was ok.

My only complain about the hotel is that we were 4 persons in my family, and there was just one doublebed and a sofa to sleep in (now the sofa wasn´t too bad, but I prefer to sleep in ordinary beds).

Close and convenient to the universal studios and walking distance to near by attractions.

Pool was small but clean. Elevator slow.

The cleaning staff should be more trained

Great location,nice pool with jacuzzi ,happy hour between 5-7pm where all guests receive two free drinks was a great idea , rooms were a great size ,breakfast was good,check in staff were very helpful, a five to ten minute walk will get you to any number of restaurants ,theme parks all within ten minutes

Only 1 elevator which was painful for this size hotel , we are a couple that enjoy our fitness so we use the stairs alot anyway but really the only fault of this hotel

On the hotel description, it has a full kitchen, that's the main reason I choose to stay. The truth is there is no oven, and stove is not function( very slow). No knife for cooking. So we asked the staff to borrow a knife, the front service staff ( on Jan22) is very rude and said he can do nothing about it. We asked to complain to the manager. He said that he can change the room, then sent service person. We found out that the room is the same, but the other room has a knife in the kitchen. The second day, we tried to complain to the front service desk, the girl told us she is not manager. The front desk staffs are pretty friendly, only one person whom works on Jan 21, 22 evening is the person we want to complain.

Excellent for the price I'm a regular customer I'll go back again.

Great for price ! Very clean very nuce staff ... Free happy hour & decent breakfest ! Def would stay again !

Decor was awful... Breakfest not very good , oh and the shuttle times suck !
