The staff was just terrific! Up graded us to a suite for no particular reason although it may have been because they are in the midst of remodeling many rooms. The morning we left the temp had fallen below freezing. They had a staff member in the parking lot with deicer and window scrapers. That was a first for us!
Our suite, although big was pretty tired, the bathroom especially. But all was clean
Too much money for the type of room we stayed in. Cost us $140 and I have stayed in nicer rooms with more comfortable bed for $80. Probably won't stay there again.
The room was spacious and had two queen beds. A fridge and microwave were also there, allowing for keeping and heating leftovers from the good restaurants nearby. The view overlooked a pond and some trees. The lodge itself screams Montana. But is an elegant oilman or cattleman's version, so relatively luxurious. It was the best location for the wedding reception, which was held onsite. The gas fireplace in the lobby next to the restaurant looks very authentic.
The fact that a sofa bed was present in the king room - and was not so stated in the description and, when booking with the hotel directly for that king room, were not told of the fact. (We booked this room because it was over $10 more on the hotel website and was not included in the block rate for the reception.) The view had some buildings and other sights which ruined the illusion one was in the woods somewhere. The wait service at the reception was slow and not very attentive. And dishes weren't cleaned off until everyone left.
We have come here a few times now for in town getaways. Best hotel in town. Comfortable bed, amazing shower, and delicious food.
Had to leave.
Loved the room with the memory mattress bed and coffee maker! The lodge felt cozy and had a.great staff.
Great restaurant with interesting food. Really fast internet.
The room was very nice. It was so quiet that I hardly knew anyone else was there. The dining was excellent. Great breakfast. Don't miss the koi pond outside across from the lobby doors. Huge koi Soooo peaceful to just sit and watch them
Nothing It was all good
When we could not get the air conditioner to work and called the front desk, the response was immediate. Within moments, they arrived at our door, fixed the issue, and were both friendly and courteous. Everything else was perfect.
Convenient location, plenty of parking available.
Our room faced the highway so had to close the window and use the AC. Found black ticks in the bathroom and when I complained, the desk agent said she would check it out...no apology. I was not impressed.
Atmospher and helpful staff
I loved that I was traveling alone to attend a wedding and I felt very safe at all times. I could do some shopping right in the neighborhood and even walked there.
WE loved the birdies chirping in the hallway, the huge, comfortable shower, the cozy beds with lovely native style blankets.
Our coffee pot in the room did not work and it would have been nice to have a coffee service downstairs. Our kids stayed next door at the Residence Inn for the same price and they had a lovely breakfast included. The desk volunteered to make us a coffee but we just went next door and got it!
The staff is the first thing you notice that is exceptional about the Heathman but we also enjoyed the lounge, loved the food, and found the room to be large and cozy at the same time. We stay here every time we're in Vancouver!
The only thing that would make my experience perfect would be a pillow menu.
Heathman lodge was a nice place to spend the night.
However the bed linens were thin, lacked a proper blanket, found one in the closet. And the fan was quite loud not what I expected from a high end property.
I felt like I was walking into a mountain lodge. The staff and guest were happy and smiling. As we walked down the hallway to our room, the sound of birds was coming from the speakers overhead. The room was clean and comfortable. I LOVED the big leather couch and was happy it pulled out into a bed. We had the most exceptional dinner at the restaurant in the lodge. We asked for some help with something in our room, and the staff was there in less than 5 minutes. We are going back for our anniversary.
I didn't like that I had to go home so soon.
Nice vibe as you entered the lobby the buzz of the Resturant . The staff making eye contact and smiling as you approached the counter. Very helpful and took a personal interest in our stay with them Nice Resturant with quick room service. Planning on staying there again .
The room was exceptionally comfortable. The staff friendly, efficient and helpful--they went out of their way to help me find and assemble a shipping box. The Hudson is the best hotel restaurant I have ever experienced.
The location near Vancouver Mall was great. Close to the major highways, but very quiet in the rooms. Had a nice view on a lower floor looking at trees making it seem like you were in a forest.
The dining room is in the main lobby which is very busy and very loud when coming into the lobby in the evenings. The hotel is a very beautiful hotel with lots of charm but I am not sure this really justifies the price especially if you are not spending a lot of time at the hotel.
the staff was polite, the location is excellent, it is clean and friendly
Workout room was small and equipment dated
over priced for the room
Food was very good as always, but steak had too much gristle ............vey disappointing,
too much gristle .............not any where near your usual standards. Very very disappointing. Have been coming to your restaurant since it opened. I moved to Vancouver in 1989.........and have been a customer ever since you opened.
the pool, the restaurant, the bed, the rustic decor and the coffee maker
there isn't much water pressure in the shower and housekeeping came by at 8am (too early).
