View from the room, interior design and luggage storage before/after checkin/ checkout location The hotel staff was very unfriendly and I didn't feel very welcome. No smiles and no guiding! |

I stayed there the second time and still like the hotel. Considering the great location, the value for the money is unbeatable. My room was clean with a lot of space (I got upgraded to a junior suite). I also like the modern stile. This time my room was on the far side of Powell St and not so loud than the first time when it was right at Powell St. I would come back again. |

Quaint old hotel Union Square adjacent, near shopping and cable cars. Had the 3 connecting room suite. Was a great way for 5 of us to travel to the city. No A/C or ceiling fans. Had to leave windows open to cool off room, which would have been great, except for the massive amount of street noise. [We were on the top floor.] |

Weird lobby but great location, right in the center of the shopping area and walking distance from the metro and cablecars. Very clean, comfortable and silent. (The laundry room facilities within the hotel are also a big + ) Breakfast not included. The staff was not very welcoming. They always looked like we were disturbing them, even when we just said hello while passing by. Just too bad, as it is a good hotel ! |

Everything was close by. Shops restaurants and the streetcar went past the door. Will tell friends of the excellent location. |

Extremely comfortable beds which was very welcome after a full day's hiking around San Francisco. Very handy to the BART station from the airport and cable car. We liked the coffee facilities in the room. A few dodgy characters hovering around the hotel when we arrived but they soon disappeared. A little bit hot in the rooms which could be horrendous during a heat wave and it was a little noisy sleeping with the windows open due to the street noise. |

The Room was clean, it is on Powell street right next to the Cable Cars and 4 minutes from Union Square During daytime, a noisy vent from the Restaurant was disturbing. |

The only one advantage that can be considered is a proximity to a city center. Sorry, I did not find anything else worth to name here. Ladies at reception were not friendly, had problems even to answer our greetings. A smile is probably also unknown feature for them. The room had one raw wall with dirty bricks. This shall be an attraction of the hotel. I would not mind a brick wall but this must be made cleanly. The wall was looked as was made from old, reused bricks. |

Good location a block from Union Square and on the Powell Street cable car line. The room was comfortable and clean. Even though we were on he top floor there was a lot of street noise. The cable cars run until about 1am and are very noisy. |
