Great view, ask for the rooms loking into the park above 20th floor it is totally worth it. !!! They urgently need a renovation in furniture (everything clean and working) ... or declare it vintage 70's |

When in room it was quiet - couldn't hear other guests. The view from my room was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, helpful. |

Location, view from the room, breakfast area is fantastic. Room was noisy, even on the 37th floor I could hear the noise from the street, furniture was old. Need for renovation. |

The reception staff was extremely helpful. The view to Central Park is exceptional from this hotel. I like the colorful 'baroque style' room designs. This was my fourth stay at Helmsley Park Lane Hotel and I will surely return here when visiting again New York. |

Staff were professional at all times. Over priced vs what i stayed. Though at one time in history considered lavish, this hotel is out dated. Furniture was uncomfortable. |

Beauitful view of Central park. The room was a great size-largest of any hotel room we stayed in in NY. Newspaper was available. The staff was very helpful. No coffee in the room. No ice machine. |

Location is excellent, service is very good in general. The hotel still is at the very best of ny. Dinner room service was excellent, but brekfast could improve. |

It was a great location but the lobby and hotel in general did not endow a feeling of opulance that the fees would suggest. Ambiance |

Good sized rooms and a great location. Dated rooms and very tired bathrooms in need of a refurb. The restaurant in the Park Room was very poor in comparison to other places to eat in the area.. |

The toilets should be changed. They look dirty, as if they had not been cleaned. |

Location was excellent and great value for money. The bath room and toilet are dated and surely require some upgrading. In addition, the room service menu needs updating as it had limited choices on offer. |

The reception staff were extremely courteous and most helpful and upgraded our room when we queried our original room. Our original room did not have the advertised views of Central Park and the cupboards for hanging clothes smelled strongly of insect repellent. |

The location, the view, the enterior design. The front desk's efficiency. Housekeeping made a mistake and tried to charge us for a bunch of expencive items we never had (bottle of champ..etc.). Plus the maid came into our room 8:30 pm waking us up, we were in bed, sleeping ( jetleg ), we simply didn't assume we'd need to put a sign on the door in that hour. |

the location was great this hotel was overpriced for the level of the room. The room was small, smelled. the bed was very uncomfortable, the shower leaked the tub did not drain properly and the tap at the sink leaked all over the counter. The tv reception was poor. Overall this hotel was very disapointing. The Hampton Inn for half the price is a far better value. |

It was a perfect location for what we needed! Hallways were very noisy! The cleaning staff began at 7:30 each morning and were slamming doors up and down the hallway. |

Location, comfort, except as described below, and friendliness and helpfulness from the staff Too much electronic lighting in the room. Hard to get it dark at night, and the big blue light under the television is particularly intrusive. Couldn't either unplug or place under the bed the brightly lit alarm clock. |

The room was spacious, light, with a partial view of Central Park. The location was convenient to everything - walking distance to east and west side neighborhoods. The bed was comfortable. The room was nice, but not clean. I complained about the toilet not being clean at 8:45pm, and when I returned to my room after being out for the evening, the toilet had still not been cleaned. They sent a maid to my room at midnight. The desk help was also hit and miss - some of the staff were pleasant and some were not. |

I liked the good location of the hotel which was convenient to all amenities. Also it was quiet which is essential if you are trying to get some sleep/rest while abroad. I thought the staff were a bit distant/brusque and not that friendly. |

My wife and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary with a four day stay at the hotel. We had a suite on the 37th floor overlooking Central Park. We've stayed in New York on many occasions and this was the most spectacular view we've had...IT Was incredible! The hotel staff was excellent and the location is superb, with many great restuarants and the "park" right out your front door. |
