Staff Rooms are old fashioned not well maintained
Room services is not operating through the day.
Great location nice people excellent service
A little dated, could use an upgrade
Location is the only good thing about this place.
I put up 8 guests in this hotel for a business trip. We reserved at one price and they kept trying to increase it. We were promised free WiFi and then they charged $15/day for it - watch out for a $30/day "facilities" fee after you have reserved at a specific price. Most guests remarked that the decor and facilities needed updating
Location, close to central park, 5th Avenue shopping, great restaurants and museums. Great staff, hotel, fabulous breakfast and late night at Harry's bar, after events.
Being near Central Park
Too crowded and impersonal, dirty bathroom and resort fee was too expensive. The wifi was not free
Limited restaurant facility.
The location i perfect for shopping and as a base to explore N.Y. Close to Metro and Avenue Americas. Wonderfil view and perfect beds
Harrys bar was a disappointment. Should be located close to the windows in street level to be perfect.
size of room
room was cold even with aircondition on highest temp
- Location was fantastic - beautiful room view - average hotel
- bathroom should be renovated - reception floor needs renovation
Location was established excellent. Could get around town easily.
The room was very nice except the bed was hard like a rock.
Large and comfortable room, good housekeeping staff, excellent location plus fitness center, professional and attentive hotel staff.
Hotel lobby not that inviting, could use major redesign and more creativity in the use of space given its narrow configuration. No upright bike in fitness ctr, no mouthwash in bathroom.
Location was good and 5 to 7pm free drinks and nibbles, unfortunately not enough seating for everyone. As it was free guest wer very greedy.
No mini bar, no room service and no tea/coffee making facilities to the rooms, very disappointing. Room was by service lift with constant noise. Bar wasn't sufficiently staffed took too long to get served if you could get served.
Attitude of staff, location, comfortable room and reception area
quality of breakfast
I always stay at the Park Lane when in New York. I suffer from claustrophobia and am very comfortable to go into their large elevators. If only other hotels had such large and light elevators, but most are small and very dark - not good for someone like me. Bridget M. Marshall, Bermuda
Nothing - I love it there.
The infrastructure is not modern. Air conditioning works poorly. Carpets need to be changed. Bathroom is old and not comfortable.
The Breakfast room with a view on Central Park in Fall was wonderful. Too bad it was full the window seat while I was checking in. Next time.
clean friendly comfortable
a bit busy on leaving day could rotate time could have coffee items in room
Location and view
Bathroom needed a bit of sprucing, but had excellent water pressure and was large by NY standards.
The hotel needs to update its reception
They had overbooked the hotel and when I arrived after a delayed flight at 2.30am they claimed to have no rooms left and wanted me to get into a cab to go to another hotel! Terrible service especially as another travel,dr turned up AFTER me but was given a room in front of me. I had PREPAID for my room and was staying for 5 days compared with this other traveller who was in,y their for 3 days. Very poor service which the hotel then tried to make up for during the rest of my stay. But nothing can make up,for a very tired, fully paid for travelled being turned away - a sole female traveller - at 3am in the morning.
beautiful place, comfortable room
-in-hotel food service is slim & werid for a major hotel property -traffic on CPS makes getting transportation from hotel very difficult.
The location of the hotel and the spacious room itself overlooking Central Park - excellent
Glasses brought up from bar etc., were left in room for duration of stay - feel these should have been removed during housekeeping/cleaning. Also more information in the rooms about hotel amenities would have been helpful
The location is great, but the management has nothing to do with that.
The only reason I stayed in this more then overpriced hotel was that they still had smoking rooms. Otherwise.... The don't even provide you with water, not even for money. No mini-bar, the kitchen in the built-in restaurant closes by 11.30 pm. No roon service...
Location, big rooms and comfortable beds.
The rooms and especially the bathrooms were a bit tired. There is nothing in the room - no tea/coffee, no fridge etc. and beware of all the extra taxes that are loaded on to your Booking.com rate - especially the 'resort tax'
