The location of the hotel is superb for seeing all the sights and the Central Park views are spectacular. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was nice.
The rooms were slightly dated.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The extra costs for booking an executive room and being on a higher floor is worth it as the views were breath-taking. The aircon system worked very efficiently. The location is amazing with Central Park literally across the street. Many main attractions are within walking distance and the restaurants around the hotel served really good food. The coffee shop in the lobby served great coffee and nibbles. The check-out was super-efficient and took me one minute (it was at 7am).
Check in took a while with nearly a hundred people in the lobby.
They had a great happy hour!
Some furniture needs repairs, but was clean
I don't like the hotel take my money in credit card and no body can tell me why !! Now wait 6 days my money not back in my account that's not right i come to enjoy now just waiting for my money
Staff were extremely helpful, location was amazing and happy hour, which was free drinks and canapes between 5 and 7, was great.
The rooms are in need of a bit of an upgrade particularly the bathrooms.
Its unacceptable the wifi is not for free even in the room
Hotel was in a perfect location, staff were friendly and always there to help.
Nothing everything was great
Location Room Bed
Staff No room service ?!?!? Restaurant hours
location was the only good thing about this hotel
check in process was painful, booking not in system and under wrong name (they blamed booking.com), no water in room, was told to buy from lobby, no kettle, no bathrobes/slippers, found glove on floor next to my bed, when requested something, had to follow up to make sure it was done
How luxurious the entire hotel was. The room was so elegant and extremely comfortable.
I didn't like that we have to pay for Wifi. I think it should be included.
Wonderful location, helpful staff, big comfortable, well appointed rooms
No one informed me of the mandatory $30 resort fee for Wifi and a cocktail hour.
Nice room, comfy, and easy location to get to.
Climate control fan was noisy but didn't really need it while we were there.
very nice hotel. repeat stay. very affordable in the off season.
Location and the room had a beautiful view over Central Park.
Hotel is under new, and lower grade, management since our last stay 2 years ago. We particularly noted: 1. Absence of dinner service in room and in restaurant - this was a definite disappointment as we had enjoyed room service dinners on previous trip. 2. Bed was too soft
Location could not be better. Across from Central Park. Close to multiple Subway stops.
Hotel attempted to bill for breakfasts that my family did not attend. Including a faked signature on a receipt. The time we did use the breakfast I believed it a free Continental breakfast as the matradee made no mentioned a fee.
I didn't understand the 30 dollar facility charge for wifi and happy hour there was no choice. Why not make it the price if the room?
room was cold, air conditioning was not working properly an was slow.
The room though a bit dated was spacious and comfortable. Happy hour every day was an added bonus especially as we were there during a cold snap.
Lack of dinner room service and limited menu at restaurants onsite.
It is walking distance to all favorite places to shop and eat.
The hotel facilities are a bit run down. Bathtub even had cracks! They should start remodeling soon!
Facility Charge Too much Furniture in Room
Fantastic location on 59th St in the heart of Manhattan, across the road from Central Park and an easy walk to 5th Avenue shops etc. Our bed was so comfortable.
Wallpaper was peeling off our walls, several of the electrical sockets were broken and didn't work, bathroom tiles were stained with rust from the handrail, patches of enamel were missing in the tub and when I first turned on the tap rusty brown water came out for the first few seconds. Not appealing but none of this was enough to ask to switch rooms however, if you are paying to stay in a luxury hotel you would expect basic maintenance to be carried out proactively. There is a $32-a-night facilities fee for Wi-Fi, use of leisure facilities etc whether you use any of them or not. When I argued the case with reception I was told it was mandatory and would be taken off my credit card anyway. The whole stay felt more about getting as much money and tips out of you than providing a good experience for the guest. This was summed up when we came to leave, I asked the doorman to flag down a cab to the airport. He offered me the hotel car for about $22 more than a cab would cost. I said no thanks but he kept pushing it until it was just plain rude. This place may be on the same street as some of New York's best hotels but it's a long way from being one of them. I won't be back.
The view is fantastic!! great room sizes!!
Too soft matrasses, very slow room service, check in, need to be reshaped!! More cleaning in the rooms!!
Location and friendly staff.
Mattress was like sleeping on a wooden plank.
We were early for our check in time and we didn't have to wait. The room was beautiful and plenty big for me and my teen age children. Excellent view of the city. Great location.
We had breakfast in the beautiful restaurant overlooking the park. The wait staff were wonderful and attentive, but the buffet was expensive and only fair. Next time I would order off the menu.
