Great boutique hotel!
Classy old hotel with great people and good food. Everyone was eager to help. 4 blocks to the Metro. Saved half from what the convention hotel would have cost across the street.
The street in front of the property must be a main route for hospital or fire department because the sirens went roaring by all through the day and night.
This charming historic hotel was so lovely and accommodating, I congratulated myself many times for selecting it for this trip, even though I knew nothing about it. Any time I return to Washington D.C.in the future, if I have a choice-I will definitely stay here.
I loved the feel of the Henley, it was small but cozy the rooms are on the smaller side, but I really loved it, being a solo traveler for night I didn't need a lot of space. Room comes with stocked mini fridge and a nice bathrobe. The tea and coffee in the room were excellent in terms of taste. Bathroom products were by Bath and Body Works.
Service was a bit slow in the blue lounge area, but server was still great once she came around.
Style of the hotel is appealing, small comfortable rooms, good pillows and comfortable bed. Showers are excellent. Staff friendly and helpful - Tavern serves delicious breakfasts.
Overall the staff made a huge difference--their advice, friendliness, and efficiency was noticeable and genuine.
I would have preferred a place in the hotel room to work at a desk instead of sitting on the bed with my computer. It was awkward to pull the one chair up to the dresser for work.
Excellent staff! Charming hotel.
With charming comes small elevators and rooms...but worth it not to be in a chain hotel!
Loved it.. just referred someone
Magnificent customer service from every single member of the staff - a delight to stay at for five nights - excellent food at the Tavern (try the grilled salmon) Comfy bed, an enjoyable walk down 10th street to the museums and monuments. A hotel with great charm and excellent service, highly recommended!
Size of hotel and it's character.
Very beautifully desinged interior. Delicious breakfast, Complimentary news papers and mineral water bottles, exellent wi-fi and very convenient location. We still don't know, why this hotel is rated for only three stars!
The hotel is a treasure in the middle of Washington. Warm, inviting, a nice little hideaway in the midst of all the hustle and bustle.
Close to convention center You can open the windows of your room There is CVS not far, so I got some food there to eat in my room
Not alot of eating options close by The restaurant isn't the greatest - the food is all exotic, I ordered stuffed mushrooms and it was gritty. ? Breakfast you must pay for. NO CONCIERGE.
Very nice historic hotel. Very close to convention center. I prefer historic hotels rather than large chains. Very quiet and serene.
Some rooms and beds are very small but fine for one person.
Friendly staff and convenient location close to transport, downtown and the convention centre
The staff was very helpful storing my luggage twice and getting me a cab to the airport. Very considerate.
It's a bit noisy if you face Massachusetts Ave.
Need to provide more adequate parking I prefer to self park as apposed to valet.
Comfortable Clean Quiet room at the back
Pretty much everything
I can't think of a thing
The ambience was very attractive, the room was well maintained and prompltly prepared, the staff very friendly and responsive.
My car was returned frm valet parking with an unpleasant odor of curried spices inside.
Quiet room, friendly front desk clean room
breakfast expensive for what you got, bed small
Good staff, clean, upscale property, nice small restaurant and bar area in hotel. Very helpful staff
Noisy guest room made it difficult to sleep. Need to install double insulated windows to reduce road noise
Nice location, friendly staff, the room was small but comfortable.
The TV screen is small, I thought that the restaurant prices are on the high side.
Very nice boutique hotel in a good location. Staff were very helpful and the room was excellent
The food and drink was a little expensive ($4 for a Snickers bar in the room) but it doesn't matter, china town with all the food and bars are down the road.
Good Location and comfortable bed. Good front staff on the whole and friendly but slow bar staff
Not the level of service I expected. Breakfast staff on our last day was really quite surly.
