So close to Times Square Great housekeeping So much close by
As a person with a handicap, this room was perfect.
I liked everything!
Location is handy. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean and of adequate size for one person. Free coffee in the lobby was nice.
Walls do not block the noise at all. If your neighbor has the t.v. on it can be heard as if it were on in your own room. The room was a tiny bit drafty but not too bad and extra pillows and comforter were provided. Front desk reception person was s bit rude.
The hotel was in a great location, just a couple blocks from Penn Station. The bed was comfortable, the accomodations were modern and immaculately maintained and clean. The sitting area in the lobby was nice for visiting with friends.
I like the housekeeping, staff all are friendly, location you can walk to the train station, site see. Shop just a wonderful experience and I recommended this hotel to everyone who is traveling to New York.
I was satisfied with the service
Good coffee machine.
The heating system is noisy.
Just off Herald Sq, it couldn't have been more convenient. The wifi was free and my room was clean
No complaints. I paid little and got a great, no frills value
A great friendly hotel, the staff are really helpful and even more important a Tea / Coffee / Hot chocolate machine - available all day. Just what you need in the mornings. Just behind the Empire State building, very near Macys and only a 10 minute walk to Times Quare
Great location and everything in easy reach a perfect place for a visit to the Big Apple
I asked for a quiet room and got one at the back of the building on the first floor, no proper window but I didn't really mind as not there v often and it was very quiet! Bed comfortable, refurbished room was nice and had really good bathroom although hot water took a while to arrive! Staff courteous and altogether was good value for money. Great transport links. Free coffee and tea was useful, and good deli nearby called Bread & Butter.
Some natural daylight would have been preferable.
location...and the BED
I loved the deep, oversized bathtub. After walking around the city all day it was very relaxing to soak in a nice hot bath. Room was very clean, and beds every comfortable. Street noise was minimal.
No coffee maker in the room.
Great location in the middle of NY !
I suggest to choose new renovated rooms. Oldest rooms are too small.
overall, it was really great. especially the Super amazing location!!!!!
kind of expensive!
noisy heating works
Surprisingly nice room for the money. Pleasant staff; great (free) coffee machine in the lobby
TV wasn't working properly; an 8 a.m. shower yielded not-quite-hot-enough water (though the water from the4 nearby sink faucet was fine: go figure...)
Location and cleanliness. Facilities such as laundry easily available at ground floor. Lots of different sorts of guests: heard languages I'd never heard spoken before.
No natural light, bad reading lighting in room, no comfortable chair (nor room for one) to read by. Location of bed lights as pot lights in ceiling struck me as bizarre. When I was reading, my partner was forced to see light. Smaller adjustable lights near bed would have been better. bed tables were too far from bed to easily reach, attached to walls as corner marble slab. Hot water and cold intermittent when showering.
Location was great. Middle of all the city attractions.
Building was old. Small bathrooms and closets. Dresser drawer was taped.
Perfect location beside empire state and macys, 8min walk to times square. Room very spacious with king size very comfortable bed and soft pillows. Fresh towels every day. Nice and warm. Brilliant power shower over big bath. It was our 1st time in NYC and this hotel was an ideal location in the heart of the city. I would definitely recommend it and i would definitely return here again. Plus it was good value for money.
Lobby a little old and dated but this is a minor dislike.
Value for money- but is New York
Great location, clean, coffee and tea was big plus in the morning
Staff was not polite enough and understanding. It's not good to use if you have small kids.
Location is good, fairly close to a couple of train stations. Easy access to every location in Manhattan. Check out is at 1pm Use the hotel for night sleep only. Make sure you are really tired walking around NYC before you go back to the hotel
Heating apparatus in very poor condition, too noisy. Would be nice to have a small fridge and a microwave oven. Our stay was during the holidays, so the hotel fare was really high for what they offered
Close to Penn station and many sites are within walking distance.
Excellent location for exploring the city Macy's department store and empire state are both 6 mins walk away, times square is 15 mins walk and central park 40 mins. Staff were friendly. Room was nice and clean with a comfy bed. The free coffee machine and Hershey's chocolates was a nice touch. Lockers available to store suitcases after checking out if you have a later flight.
We were in a room at the back of the hotel so had a noisy air conditioning unit buzzing away 24/7 The bed was tall so my wife had trouble getting in
Location is excelent
Bathroom: there is not a single hanger for towels or clothes. When taking a bath you have to throw the clothes on the bed, and the towel has to rest over the shower curtain. What's so difficult about fixing some hangers on the wall or even on the door. Even those "over the door" hangers would do. Key cards: We got just one key card for two people (double occupancy), which means we had to synchronize our returns to the room: they assume we will be always leaving and returning together which is absurd. Saving on key cards???
