I enjoyed the fact that SeaWorld was so close. My wife and I actually walked there and saved money on not having to pay for parking. It's also in close proximity to downtown due to the location of the freeway being adjacent to the hotel. It sounds bad being next to the freeway, but the traffic noise didn't really disturb us. Our sink was clogged and we slowly drained it ourselves, though it didn't do much good. The continental breakfast was a disappointment. A few small pastries and a small cup of coffee you can only get on the weekend. On monday they didn't even have them out.

Nothing. The picture is definitely misleading, it is in a rather unpicturesque part of town. For your first time, it could quite unnerving. The hotel boarders a thorough fair, It can quite disconcerting as the hotel is not fenced off. I stayed at the Traveloge in La Mesa this definitely not worth it

They did change the sheets and make the beds everyday The Hotel is an older one and is more of a motel than a hotel or inn. The room had a funky smell when I entered it but it did go away once I turned on the air conditioner and recirculated the air in the room. Since I stay awake late the noise from Sea Worlds firework display at 10:00pm didnt bother me.

Room was confortable The breakfast is very very poor (only coffee and muffins), but worse than that, the food finishes before the supposed hour of ending. You pay for a service that is not acomplished.

When we checked into our room all u can smell is smoke even if it said "No Smoking". So they moved us up to the third floor which was alot better & cleaner. Athough there were no elevators we had to carry our luggage another flight up. The area was dark and didn't seem like a safe location. The workers was not pleasant at all and not very helpful, that's a shame. I will not recommend this hotel to any of my family and friends even if it was cheap. But like they "you get what you pay for".

Great location if you have a car, minutes from balboa park, airport, and mission beach. They have a pool and a jacuzzi. When I first walked in the room I noticed a brass plaque on the door specifying no smoking. But as soon as I walked in the room wreaked of smoke, I opened the windows and in 10 minutes, it was fine, but I thought it was pretty ironic.

Very close to main freeway and price was very reasonable for San Diego. The motel was nicer than a motel I stayed at in Hotel Circle at $150.00 a night and actually offered more ammenties. Scary vagrants right outside the Motel in public areas. No resturants on that side of the sreet to walk to. (Very busy street to cross and scary people walking around).

I like the free Internet wifi and the 24 hour laundry service. The breakfast can be improved and would appreciate a hair blower in the room.

I didn't like the hotel because it was old and a lot of visitors were smoking and the smoke was coming into my non smoking room. Some visitors were speaking very loudly at 5a.m. and I couldn't sleep. For future I will pay more and stay in a nice hotel.

of the accommodation in that immediate area, that seemed the most reasonably priced that i saw online. No complaints, room service was offered every day, however they could leave it a bit later than 8 or 9am to knock on the door as i was on vacation and nursing a hangover most mornings at that time and i wasn't always going to remember to leave that tag outside the door handle.

I stay here when I come to San Diego for a few days for surfing. The hotel is clean, not fancy and a very reasonable price. There are many options for food within walking distance and it is close to Ocean Beach. I've said this before, my only complaint is that the light in the bathroom is connected to the exhaust fan so you cannot turn the fan off and relax in the tub or take a soak and read. Really not a big deal, I just happen to like to soak in a hot tub and read after a few hours in the cold ocean waters.

The room was fine, the bed was comfortable, and considering it's almost road-side it was pretty quiet. The location is pretty depressing, not to mention hard to find.

It was very close to Sea World and the Zoo which was the reason for our visit. When I checked in the person who looked up my reservation was not very nice she seemed moody and wasn't very polite. I asked her about the aaa membership discount and she said to talk to them directly. If you are looking for proximity to any theme parks then I do recomend this hotel however if you are looking for a comfortable and family friendly hotel please seek somewhere else.

“Art, Shawn, and a very friendly, helpful maintenance employee who stated he is always "happy." Art was extremely helpful by having a jug of distilled water on arrival which I needed for my cpap. He recognized I would have difficulty managing those steep pavements to secure the water. Made sleeping a breeze. Your manager Shawn is the type of representation you should be very proud of. He is congenial. Your maintenance refused to take a tip when I arrived only to say he was very happy to asist with my luggage which was cumbersome. also your breakfast setting was clean, comfortable and great. Thank you so much” Jacquelyn, Deptford |
