The wifi sometimes doesn't work
The room was nice and safe. Also the bathroom. Good location.
There was one annoying woman in the room...she always had some problems...
convenient location to explore Manhattan, friendly and helpful stuff, great food station, a lot activities to join, clean facilities, plenty of young people
Fantastic bar crawl!
Fatal WiFi quality No breakfast included so expensive
My stay was comfortable and made my stay in NYC easy, especially as a solo traveler. Everyone was welcoming and staff were always ready to answer questions.
The rooms were adequate though a little stuffy.
I have never stay at a hostel before and as I walked in the lobby was very inviting. Check in was very quick and easy. As you walk into the commons area you realize how safe this hostel was, no only did you need a room key to get through the door past the lobby but one to get in your room. The rooms where clean and a locker big enought to fit a carry on luggage and a tote bag. You had sheets, to pillows with pillow cases,a blanket that was just warm enough for Sept., and one towel. The bathrooms where clean and the showers and toilets had locks on them. They had a little cafe on the bottom floor to grab a bit to eat. They had events and tours you could sign up for everyday. Also they where one block away from the subway which was great! This was a great experience.
The elevator lights did not work so you did not know if it was coming or not but it was not a big deal I mainly used the stairs.
Multiple common areas. Variety of breakfast and lunch available to purchase. Courtyard. Secure.
Bathroom line ups; wish they were a little bigger and roomier. But still doable. Hot, stuffy room.
People asking me everytime if I had a card. :/
Good location. Close to Central Park.
Dirty and noisy rooms. Old, slow and stinky elevators. This is really a low price spot. If you are looking for something else than a place to a roughsleep, find somewhere else.
Its really excellent ,
SHOULD HAVE CHECK OVER GUEST, WHO BRING OTHER GENDERS IN THE ROOM AND DO PRIVATE ACTS, WHICH IS NOT EXPECTED IN YOUR STANDARD HOSTELS.
Check in is smooth and quick. Rooms are super clean. Showers always clean. They provide towel and shower cream. Private light in the bunk bed. Private locker ( bring own padlock ) Location is very good. Just 1 block to the next metro station. I am very satisfied with the hostel. Of course you cannot expect a lot of socializing with 11 other people in the room, but it's a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely come back. My stay was pleasurable.
Elevator is always busy. Waiting time is required 24/7 If you travel with heavy luggage you need the slow and always cramped full elevator. There is only 1 elevator for 700 people.
I like everything about it. One block from the subway, clean, organized, bathroom has a large and private shower and the staff is very friendly.
Best cafe staff ive ever seen. So bright cheery and friendly.
Some front of house staff were quite unhelpful and dismissive
Love this place its close to metro. İts very clean.
İts a bit expensive but its NYC. :)
Location close to subway The cafe, and lounge space available The various activities organized
Smell in rooms Customer service at the reception
Simply loved the Brooklyn at Dusk Walking Tour - no better way to visit BK and its surroundings than guided by a local! I had a great time in the borough with an awesome group of people from the hostel. The hostel itself is huge, safe, and very well equiped with great facilities - the kitchen in the basement is great - also, don't forget to check the TV Room and the patio. The bed linen is changed every day, bedrooms and restrooms are super clean. I mean, it's a SUPER CLEAN hostel. The hostel don't provide breakfast but there's a mini deli inside the building where you can buy fresh fruit juice, paninis, sandwiches, etc, and also there's tons of food joints in the surroundings. The metro station is just a 3 min walk from the building you'll be in midtown in about 20 min or so. I've seen people of all ages; families, elderly people; a great mix of internationals. That's definitely a place to meet people. I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely come back the next time I ever come back to NYC.
There's only one a single elevator for the whole building - so expect a lot of waiting especially during check-in/out hours.
Facilities are great for a youth hostel: terrasse, food, Wifi, number of showers, lockers
!!!! aux tariffs !!!! Be careful with the prices !!!! You will not receive a confirmation of your booking directly from Booking but from the hotel, really nice but not mentioned the #people in the room and you probably won't get what you ask for the price + !!! Chase for your breakfasts tickets at your arrival otherwise they won't give them to you !!!!
good location,clean rooms and bathrooms
no kitchen, poor wi-fi especially in the evenings, little room between the beds in an 8 female domitory. I asked the staff to change the dirty pillow cases twice. they never did it.
Perfect location just one block from the subway line 1 and few block from Central Park.
Way too big hostel. Lost the spirit of a hostel which is to share experiences. The room smelt bad. AC was way toooo cold. Key card kept deactivated and I got locked out of the room ...
Location to the subway stations and Central Park, lots of facilities
The room was too hot and people checked in after midnight on multiple occasions which woke up everyone else in the room. Wifi wasn't good, poor signal in multiple areas of the hostel
Location. Value for money. Garden. Lobby.
Room was cold since AC wasnt well set.
Very good accomodation, with high quality services. The buffet is very good, and the prices are the better, than anywhere in NYC. The bathrooms are clean, and you have a free storage. If you don't have your own locker, you can buy one for less than 3 and a half, and you can keep it after.
12 people in one room is a bit scary for the first. There are some additional prices, for about 10 dollars more, but still worth it.
