Good location. Close to Central Park.
Dirty and noisy rooms. Old, slow and stinky elevators. This is really a low price spot. If you are looking for something else than a place to a roughsleep, find somewhere else.
Its really excellent ,
SHOULD HAVE CHECK OVER GUEST, WHO BRING OTHER GENDERS IN THE ROOM AND DO PRIVATE ACTS, WHICH IS NOT EXPECTED IN YOUR STANDARD HOSTELS.
Check in is smooth and quick. Rooms are super clean. Showers always clean. They provide towel and shower cream. Private light in the bunk bed. Private locker ( bring own padlock ) Location is very good. Just 1 block to the next metro station. I am very satisfied with the hostel. Of course you cannot expect a lot of socializing with 11 other people in the room, but it's a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely come back. My stay was pleasurable.
Elevator is always busy. Waiting time is required 24/7 If you travel with heavy luggage you need the slow and always cramped full elevator. There is only 1 elevator for 700 people.
I like everything about it. One block from the subway, clean, organized, bathroom has a large and private shower and the staff is very friendly.
Best cafe staff ive ever seen. So bright cheery and friendly.
Some front of house staff were quite unhelpful and dismissive
Love this place its close to metro. İts very clean.
İts a bit expensive but its NYC. :)
Location close to subway The cafe, and lounge space available The various activities organized
Smell in rooms Customer service at the reception
good location,clean rooms and bathrooms
no kitchen, poor wi-fi especially in the evenings, little room between the beds in an 8 female domitory. I asked the staff to change the dirty pillow cases twice. they never did it.
Location to the subway stations and Central Park, lots of facilities
The room was too hot and people checked in after midnight on multiple occasions which woke up everyone else in the room. Wifi wasn't good, poor signal in multiple areas of the hostel
Location. Value for money. Garden. Lobby.
Room was cold since AC wasnt well set.
it is an ideal environment to make friends from all over the world.
the fact that linen is not been changed if you staying for a long time
The windows don't open, that's not optional in a room with ten persons. The bathrooms and showers on the first floor are poor. The lockers in the basement are well overpriced - it's a youth hostel, isn't it?
It's a great location with Starbucks, mcdonalds and 24 hour supermarket around the corner. You have wifi in the rooms and everywhere else in the hostel which is good. Times Square is within a 15 minutes walking distance which is a nice walk down broadway whith plenty of shops on the way.
I had an extremely loud air conditioner in my room which goes on and off every few minutes 24 hours.
I really like the facility, the location in New York and the way all staff members are on service for people.
Is not a problem, but the localization is not the best
clean, quiet, good location, friendly staff, central park, subway
expensive breakfast place, air conditioning cannot be adjusted in the room
Nice and great! But expensive...
I loved the location and all the people in the hostel. Everyone is in a state of happiness and the staff is friendly and helpful. A big plus where the lockers in the rooms. Central Park is just a few blocks away and the subway is close as well.
Location. 3 mins walking to Metro No.1
Cannot arrange lower bunk bed as requested. No breakfast. Hot room (problem with AC).
Friendly and helpful staff. I love the food on the main floor.
The dryer in the female's bathroom does not work. Others are working great!
Very nice activities all the days of the week, helping info-desk, large common spaces. Overall a very good hostel!
Good cafe in the building, close to subway, lots of bathrooms, nice outdoor area.
Had no sleep for 4 days the mattresses are thin, the beds creak everytime you move, the room windows dont open so you cant get fresh air in, the aircon is either hot or freezing cold! A lot of the people staying here had little consideration for others in the room and were noisy at all hours and made a mess in bathrooms without leaving it clean for others but not the hostels fault just seemd to attract young travellers who have no hostel etiquette. Great hostel poor clientele. Will pay more for hotel next time.
I enjoyed my stay there
