did not bring tp or coffee when cleaning the room
After staying in many hotels within a few years, we understand that cleanness is a bug issue for budget hotels. The cleaning staff is trained badly or does not know what cleanness means. They just do some kind of order but proper dusting, vacuuming, wasching kitchen appliances, windows, floors is probably beyond their duties or professional comprehension.
The owner is very hospitable, the pool was really heated unlike all other pools where we stayed, the apartment was big and with full kitchen appliances, beautiful patio on the canal, complimentary kayaks, real wifi but not just nominal one as in other hotels.
no hot water when I tried to shower at 10 AM before leaving
location was near where I competed in an athletic event
Our floor was never swept nor were we provided a swifter to clean it with. Our lap went out after a storm and no came to fix it.
We received clean towels each day.
upgraded our room. Very helpful and nice staff. Large, clean room. Great location.
A reasonably priced base to explore the area.
The resort is old and needs lots of up dating and repair
Nice waterway view
I really liked how courteous the staff was and the room was perfect. Out back was my little peace of Heaven. On the waterfront and being able to fish with equipment the hotel provided was priceless. I will be coming back here for my vacation.
What you see in the website is not what you get.
manager & owner very pleasant
We made an excellent use of the kitchen in our room and enjoyed the pool with deck chairs in front of the resort and large deck with tables overlooking water in the back of it. Very friendly staff made our stay most enjoyable. Will come again.
Old, date cheaply constructed bldg that allowed you to pick up on conversations from the next room.
The staff was very pleasant.
There were a few no-see-ums around and in my room.
The location on the water, on a big canal, was lovely, as was the beachy sandy area with a covered deck. It was quiet, yet awalk or bike ride to restaurants and shops. You could sign up to use a bike, or fish, or swim in the pool. It feels like an Old Florida no-frills sort of spot: all the basics, friendly, one-of-a-kind, family run. I loved the full refrigerator, microwave etc.
If you're looking for super modern and a big spread for breakfast Hampton Inn is down the street. This place is home away from home. Not super modern, but clean and comfortable. Beyond affordable. The staff was amazing and the free use of kayaks, paddle boat, and row boat was a huge plus. I would stay again in a second.
Couldn't find anything not to like!!
We loved the fact that it was centrally located by restaurants, walgreens, fishing locations, swimming spots, the yacht club, and fitness centers!!!!! To top it off it was directly on the waterfront!!!! We could actually kyak and fish behind the hotel!!!! Lived it!!!!
The patio area could use a couple of flood lights shining down on to the water which would also attract more fish during the hours of darkness. The parking area was also very small.
Location, Location, Location. The deck and patio area out by the water, we spent most of our time out there fishing and just hanging out. I was pleased with our stay, it wasn't a 4 or five star resort but I didn't pay 4 or 5 star resort bucks either.
had to ask for extra towels, tp, paper towels, garbage bags
the pool, deck, friendly staff
Mood in bathroom, pictures in Internet looks great -reality is different. US couple took over hotel some Month ago. No breakfast. It was the worse hotel during our 2 weeks holiday in florida. Price definitly too high.
Location Directory on seaside. Fridge and small kitchen included.
When I arrived the staff was very friendly and Immediately greeted me when I walked in the door. Before taking me to my room they had someone check to make sure it was up to good standards while someone else showed me around so that I knew what the hotel offered. They offer free canoes and paddle boats along with fishing and grills that you can use as you wish.
Sofa and love seat are a bit low to the ground and overly cushy. Small thing, but that kept the "comfort" rating lower.
Sadly to discover a very dirty bbq and kitchenfacilities.
Very cosy place. Like they say: paradise. They created a nice outside place to chill out.
Room was very old. Bed uncomfortable. Rust in the tub and on the shower curtain rings. Kitchen bottom cabinet would fall off air conditioner vents would fall off when try to adjust and very dusty. Overall my impression was OLD
I only stayed one night. My husband liked the back deck on the water
