No space for breakfast and not clean
The room was large with comfortable beds! The balcony was very nice & definitely got used! Full size fridge. If we were there longer would have used the kitchen. Front desk gentleman was very friendly & we were able to check in early
Chairs had stains but other than that room was clean. Expensive for just a quick overnight trip but great location & nice room
Location was excellent. Lobby was fun. Sixties style, probably the same furniture from the sixties. Hollywood hotel with a lot of history, I'm sure.
It didn't seem clean but it is an older hotel.
4 minute walk from the Walk of Fame, less than 10 minutes walk to the metro station, large room, fridge and microwave in the room
Breakfast was poor, very little choice and no fresh food, all packaged including milk, muffins, bagels and juice
Location was excellent to see hollywood boulevard. Hotel has a car park that is free. Bookings include breakfast. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good value especially for location.
Staff was not nice. Lady in the reception was incapable of smiling or being of more help than demanded. We arrived before 3pm and she kept us waiting 15 mins until 3pm to let us check in. Breakfast is poor and the area is ridiculously small which leads to some guests taking their food to their rooms.
We were pleasantly surprised, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was spacious And clean. the pool was good and the surroundings were beautiful. Overall very pleased!
Great location, just 2 blocks away from walk of fame. Outdoor and pool area looks great.
We had a suite with one bedroom, but the sofa bed was a disaster. The mattress was very thin and the sofa bed has a bar in the middle, so our kids had a terrible night of sleep.
Kitchen, beds were new and comfortable, Spacious Close to everything in Hollywood Grounds very nice
Some areas dirty...kitchen window drapes dirty....easy fix! Outside kitchen window looked like an antique storage area...old stuff that should have been tossed long ago=lazy staff Staff not friendly Breakfast sparse NO COFFEE POT IN ROOM Too expensive compared to other hotels in area...esp for weekdays Parking too cramped.....difficult to get out due to only one way in and out
This is a great hotel for the money, its just a short walk to Hollywood Blvd. Hotel staff was very nice. Our room wasn't ready after arriving and we were given an upgrade! Very satisfied!
The location is very good, we felt safe in the neighbourhood at midnight going home as it is next to a very busy street
- We had a room next to a general toet on the ground floor, every time we nearly felt sick due to the smell of p*ss - the furniture is old and rather shabby, the carpets full of stains - the windows to the streets are big, but sleeping is therefore impossible as it feels like sleeping next to the street. Several motorbikes, police sirens etc. woke us up. you couldn`t sleep longer than 7:30 - breakfast was worse than in other Motels (little portions of orange juice- a lot of waste!, bad coffee, no fruit, no joghurt, no water, plastic cutlery! - wifi didn't work properly in rooms you always had to go to the lobby
downside was rooms where well passed their best and in need of updating
Great location for Hollywood sights, tours and transport. One bedroom apartment with kitchenette was very roomy. Has seen better days but it was better than expected and we thought good value for money especially for the location and pool. Reception was also very helpful.
Location is good. Walking distance to Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. Parking is included.
Hotel is dated. Beds are uncomfortable. Closet had an open hole in the ceiling. Breakfast area was very small and only bagel and pastries offered. There is no elevator.
Everything was walking distance. ..didn't move vehicle whole time! :-)
No ice on ice maker.
The location was great. We were close to the walk of fame. The hotel is very cute. It reminds you of a 1950's hotel. The lobby is very updated and pretty. Our room was just remodeled. It was very nice. Some rooms are not yet remodeled, so ask for an updated room when booking.
The lobby computers and printers were not working. I would have liked to be able to send faxes and use the printer. The hot and cold breakfast consisted of some muffins, English muffins, and juice. I think hot and cold breakfast should include a little more.
Very Close to Hollywood Blvd, tour pick ups, metro train and metro bus stops.
More variety at breakfast would be nice
Horrible stains all over the carpets, no deadbolt or chain on door. Suppose to have a balcony, but only had a window over looking a park with a bunch of homeless guys. Non stop partying in many of the rooms, so loud music and yelling all night long. TV was a 19" 1990's tube tv. Did not feel safe at all in this location
The room needs to be updated. Very old dreary interior especially the bathroom.
The room was nice and clean..
The person working the night shift had poor customer service skills was not very informative or helpful at all..
The hotel itself is great. Nice rooms and swimming pool area.
Breakfast is a joke. The staff were not particularly nice, especially considering how little they have to since the place wasn't busy.
The breakfast and pool area were very good.
The rooms needs repair.
Location was absolutely perfect.
Staff were shocking and incompetent. Weren't even put in the right room on the first night, the room stunk and when the only man on duty was told his response was "I don't know what to say". Not very helpful when you are in a room with an unbearable smell and beds that feel like they have been brought down from Alcatraz. Also after being told we could pay the tax locally in cash when we checked in, when it come to checking out they had already charged the card after being told there would not be enough on there to cover it which is why we would like to pay in cash! It's lucky the location is so good. Also this is the hotel Janis Joplin lived for two years and also passed away in, the recognition that a musical great died in this hotel? A STICKER!! They have a sticker outside her room, not even a plaque, a sticker. The cheek of it being they charge you extra to stay in this room.
Location amazing so close to strip but quiet and safe location, staff very helpful.
Wifi signal dropped off in my room from time to time but good in the lobby
I had a reservation of bokink and did not come to the hotel I did not only security and emotional we can admit you and you firm Governor was emotional after 10 p.m. sunsets almost 45 minutes after several adapters fun lasted for more than an hour and a half, call balmso'l and tell them the first night were assessed and paid in the morning look at his condition and when he was an opponent of the German card when taken over the room as they differ from my reservation because the family and asked them to change it and then again changed when We entered the room as the bedside feature it's dirt or dog aaskm God I never played emotional because the rooms are old and skills there is a disturbance outside the room
