Hilltop Inn of Vermont    

was a decent place with decent people

the room had no ink pen or letterhead stationart. the guest book needed to be updated and the shower was too low keep bumping my head... and I'm only 5ft 9.

The bed was comfortable with good quality sheets. Free WiFi and easy parking. Suzanna's Café had excellent food on premises for a reasonable price. Efficient/easy/friendly check-in & out. Quiet air conditioner & no smoking rooms. Pool long enough for laps to get kinks out after long drive. Easy location to find. Nice quiet neighbours.

The tap on the sink had no knob; hard to use. Toilet chain needed adjusting so toilet water ran on unless I opened the cover to adjust it. Bathroom ceiling tiles brown and perhaps mouldy from water leakage.

My sheets were dirty. There was used kleenex in my bed- we got locked out of hotel when we tried to go to extremely dirty pool. There was another guest smoking in a room somewhere near us - we know this because the hallway was full of smoke. The entire hotel smells of cigarette smoke. I would give this horrible hotel zero stars if available. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in -will never stay there again

the staff was friendly and very attentive,the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable,

the restaurants hours was crazy,open some of the times and on different days

Very dirty. Our room was not very clean. The floor not vacuumed and the shower didn't work.

Despite of some unexciting reviews, I had a little hesitation to make a reservation but it was a comfortable stay with a clean room. Quiet and safe location with a friendly stuff and attached restaurant is great in winter for not going out for breakfast . We will be staying this coming week and beyond, if we needed to stay around Berlin ,vt

Price the night staff was nice

I had a Tv that was shot with bb and It took 3days to replace it . Then the replacement one would not fit in cable so I had to mickey mouse it to get it to work. The ice machines was broken down more than it work.

It was quiet

It was close to my son's college, New England Culinary Institute and very inexpensive

The pool needs to be updated and add a hot tub.

Awful place.

It was a good comfortable stop between the places we were going.

The pool closed too early most places stay open until 10 pm.

Good value

Overnight staff had assigned an inferior room type - receptionist recognized the problem and was able to fix it. Smoking was allowed on our floor so hall smelled, but room was OK. Shower was very weak. Attached restaurant was very slow. Waited 20 minutes at breakfast and waitress had not come to our table once. We left.

Room was very nice. Beds very comfy. Hotel looked a bit dated.

bathroom door was damaged. Restaurant was disappointing. slow service, food not hot.

Beds looked neat and bedding was clean

Several articles in the bathroom were not clean: taps, shampoo bottles, hair dryer The bathroom door had three big holes in it and on reporting it to the front desk, the reply was: Yes we know about it The ice machine is rusted and running with a loud noise

booked king room given queen bed. told staff i have confirmed king room. staff said they don't have any. queen bed sagged no hot water in bath room. address given on internet sites, not address of hotel. staff said the address is their po box. furniture appeared to be surplussed furniture and did not fit the spaces in the room. tv remote did not see the sensor on the tv box with out elevating the remote over your head. discounted price still a bad deal.

Clean, comfortable and good reception.

They don't have hair dryers in the room. You have to request for it and they don't have enough. They had to rush me finishing it so others can use it.

Low-budget place.

They lied about bed size. We had two queen but they were definitely not queen size beds. It was really cold outside and we didn't have hot water. We checked out without taking showers.

Comfortable mattress, friendly staff. Good rate, especially during leaf peeper season.

Had hot water when I arrived in the late afternoon. The next morning, no hot water for my shower.The rooms were very clean, although there was some dirt near the headboards, and the box spring had some stains that made me worried there might be bed bugs.

Nice pool and great location

Claims of tv stations not true, not even regular stations, room never cleaned properly, stayed 5 days and linens were never even changed, broken towel rack, worn out toilet seat, when I wanted coffee in the lobby I had to make it myself. We have stayed here dozens of nights in the last 6 years and it was always nice, not sure what happened but it has deteriorated so badly we may have to find a new place to stay

Excellent stay , Very nice room and very clean .Value for the price.Pool , Restaurant , Excellent Internet connection.Nice recent upgrades.By far the best value overall. Value cannot be beat for sure.

Everything was just great.

The Inn is very nice and has all modern amenities.Price is hard to beat.Cannot decipher negative reviews on Tripadvisor site though. Hilltop has undergone recent renovations and upgrades and rooms are looking very nice staff is friendly and service is good.Restaurant next door very good and indoor pool is heated to close to warm. Overall it is the best value around.Cannot beat value for money for sure. Dont miss the opportunity to stay here.

My room was not clean a all, and the pics online look nothing like the hotel. I will never stay at the hilltop again. You need to update.

No breakfast

Cleanliness was very poor, room towels had make-up on them, mold and holes on ceiling tiles

We booked one king. At arrival thet said no kings availabe and gave two queens. Dirty, unconfortable beds and restroom, tv with 4 channel available and not remote control. No ice machine working in the hotel. "Sorry they are all out of order". They adviced to get ice acroos the higway. People speaking aloud and smoking in the corridors of the hotel.... Worst experience in years. I will put a formal claim to World Turism Organization. I want my moneyback !!!!
