Staff kept knocking on the door
Why not just include the WiFi into the cost of the room, everyone uses WiFi these days and also breakfast.
They sold our double room, tried to make us stay in a kind with Tri teenagers and a pullout bed that didn't fit. Lied repeatedly. Said there was no manager on duty (on a weekend?), said there were no rooms, bad mouthed booking.com, finally spoke w/ a manger who was rude at best. Ended up putting our kids in separate room (after telling us where wasn't one available in entire property). Never again!
The location was great for getting around Old Town easily on New Years Eve.
I called the day before our stay to see about upgrading to a King room. The woman I spoke to was so rude and condecending that I almost canceled our reservation. Also, the lobby was under construction during our stay making our first impression very unwelcoming, disorienting, and cold. It would have been nice to have been told ahead of time to expect the construction.
Renovating lobby very noisy all weekend.
It was a great one night stay for an excellent price. With a beautiful view and right next to the metro.
Rooms were clean. Location convienant to Metro, & Old Town Alexandria.
Rooms were not ready for check-in on time. No advance notice for paying for parking, wifi, & everything else.
next to metro-and Old Town Alexandria
Close to train station, comfy beds, nice bathroom, bar in hotel
Too far from basic necessities Bar closes to early, restaurant not staffed well enough
Close to everthing, clean, nice staff
Charged to park in their building, a charge for internet in room, charged for breakfast.
Noisy group of young women partying well after mid-night. They obviously had no respect for other guests
Courteous and friendly staff at the hotel and the location was excellent right in the middle of one of the best tourist locations in Alexandria and just about 400 feet from the Metro
Room was a little cramped and the amenities were not great. I could hear what was going on in the other rooms through the walls. Standards were not just up to par compared to most hotels I have stayed for similar or even smaller budgets.
Location was great. There are some good stuff.
They had my reservation name wrong (first name and surname were mixed up) and could not look it up easily. The room service was very expensive.
Location and proximity to metro and Amtrak a big plus. Nice walking areas.
Was disappointed to see that I would have to pay $3 for a bottle of water. Walked to Whole Foods instead and stocked up on snacks and water. I have been to different hotels all over the world where at least two bottles of water were complimentary.
great looking rooms/facility.. nice fitness center.. front desk staff helpful and friendly
ridiculous $34 per night charge to park the car there..??? Bartender had a problem with the English language.. what happened to the pool? Our room was at the end of the building, closest to the Metro Station/railroad tracks...
Very comfortable bed, perfectly clean, excellent location, short walk to Metro station.
The location; Cleanliness
Noise from train; the high price to park; room service expensive and took an hour to arrive
The overall friendliness of the Metro employees
The concierge wasn't very helpful
Convenient location - right next to the Metro for DC and free Trolly Bus service for Alexandria stops close by. Great staff - friendly and excellent service. Very clean and comfortable rooms.
Close to the Metro and terrific Old Town shops and restaurants. Starbucks in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was right across the street from a metro station which was very convenient for sight seeing in DC. It was clean and comfortable.
We wished the room had a microwave.
I did not like the fact that I had to pay for parking each day- or rather it would have helped me to know that bit of information at the time I booked
comfort and ambiance
no pool, no breakfast, and parking is too expensive
Close to the Station
