The view from my room, room was nice
Loud at night in hall outside my room. TV hard to work remote and the guide for live TV offered no info for channels, no free movies. No free wifi for higher priced rooms.
Andre at the front desk was fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient.
The cost was a little over double what I paid for the same room 10 months ago. I was also double-billed for parking.
Staff was helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. Room was a good size, very clean. Many usb charging ports and cables within the room. The quality of the Room Service food was worth every penny.
The mini-fridge had a constant high pitched whine. Between that and the very loud guests walking the halls at all hours plus the downtown traffic noise, I got maybe 2.5hrs sleep total. Very disappointing that the room wasn't quiet. It made it feel as if privacy was an illusion.
Andre was great on the front desk!!!
I loved the decor
Staff was a bit intrusive
Great facilities. The staff excelled with every opportunity.
Extremely understaffed at the bar on night of the game.
Very nice facility with helpful and courteous staff.
My stay was marred only by the extremely poor drainage in the bathroom tub. I prefer to shower, but found myself standing in several inches of water during the process.
My room wasn't ready when I got there and the staff was more than accommodating to my fiancé and I. Very professional they made my stay very enjoyable. Best hotel in Austin for customer service. I will definitely stay again.
The receptionist that initially checked us in told us to wait another 25 minutes until our room was ready. Once a manager got involved the ball got rolling and they were very accommodating.
gym, pool, technology in room, outlets, location, friendliness of staff
lumpy bed, loud guests
My room was excellent.
Parking was $25. That is an excessively high fee for parking.
Massive tellies; decent gym
You have to pay for wifi
Amenities, staff, quality, location, everything about this hotel!
Can't say one bad thing about it!
The pool and the proximity with downtown and the airport.
WE COULD NOT WORK THE LIGHT ADJUSTER
The comfortable beds, the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, the friendly staff and the great location. Free wifi would have been nice.
Having to pay 14.95 for wifi when I was paying 300.00+ per night. I've never been charged for wi fi.
Staff seemed empowered to make decisions related to righting inconvenience. This turned a potentially adverse experience to a very satisfactory one. Thank you.
The room we booked wasn't available for us and we were placed in another room, originally for 2 out if our 3 nites. This caused initial upset.
How close it was to 6th st.
Decor in renovated rooms is very nice Staff and room service very efficient and courteous. Customer service was above reproach! Convenient location, especially for tourists This is a nice hotel in a good downtown ATX location. We came for a "stay-cation" and usually stay at The Hyatt Regency, but since they were full we decided to book with The Hilton. Check in was fast and easy, but we were disappointed that the rooms were so much smaller than at The Hyatt (and the nicer River View suites at the Hyatt are still $40 cheaper than what we paid to stay in a Queen room here). We had a 3 year old with us, and the hotel's employees were very child-friendly and accommodating.
Rooms smaller by comparison to other hotels in the same area Overcharged on room service (employee that delivered quickly helped to fix this, though!) Nice hotel, but overpriced compared to what the same amount of $$$ will get you.
LOCATION CENTRAL HELPFUL STAFF
EXPENSIVE - NO FREE WIFI IN ROOM EXPENSIVE $25 PAY TO PARK CAR IN HOTEL CAR PARK NO CLUB LOUNGE - UNDER RENOVATION NO FREE ALCOHOL WITH EXECUTIVE CLUB ROOM VERY BASIC BREAKFAST INCLUDED NOISE AT NIGHT FROM 6TH STREET SMALL ROOM FOR FAMILY
Modern furnishings, location, turndown service, toiletry brand, late checkout
Being overcharged on the room rate (adjusted after I printed proof of the lower rate), expensive parking, pool overstuffed with young partiers
I loved that 6th street (even though we didn't chek it out) was just a jump away and all the shops we did plan on visiting. The inside was gorgeous. Our room was very nice. Loved the Starbucks inside for the connivence.
At the price of the room, I was a tad but annoyed that I would still have to spend $14 extra to get wi-fi in my room. I've been to cheap motels while moving cross country and they offered free wi-fi. Valet was $35 for the whole day but they were so slow bring my truck to me both times.
The updated rooms were state of the art! Lots of outlets, innovative reading lamps for the beds, wonderful shower, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to tons of fun activities!
The nightly festivities of 6th Street could keep one awake...but the close proximity to this nightclub strip is also a positive aspect for those who like live music, decent restaurants, and a lot of bars!
Sure it's a little more expensive to stay here than at some hotels further down the freeway, but you make that money back quickly by not having to pay for cab rides everywhere, nor have to worry if you're sober enough to drive back to your hotel.
