Black mold in the bath room ceiling, shower tub did not drain, construction at 8am. Maid came in at 8:30am. Would not allow us to check in early. Property is in need of renovation.
breakfast was excellent
Late night noise
Close to museums
The view was spectacular and the housekeeping staff was extremely polite and thorough. The selection of television channels and movies was also wonderful. The blowdryer as well as other amenities were good quality.
The roomed as well as the towels smelled like chlorine. I do regains this may have been the detergent or bleach, which I suppose is reassuring.
The beds, staff and general presentation of the hotel was great.
The location was a little out from the magnificent mile so a fair distance to walk with lots of bags! The room service food was good and quick but very pricey!!
Hotel is beautiful and the staff were excellent.
The only thing I didn't like is the location as I get older it is not convenient for shopping.
The lobby was very nice and the lobby to ball rooms was beautifully decorated with Christmas tree and decorations. It was fun going to Kitty O'Shea's.
Rooms were small and need updating. For a Hilton hotel (and the rate we paid), I expected nicer rooms. My parents' room was very disappointing. Their shower did not work, which they didn't find out until the next morning. The walls are paper thin - the next room had kids that fought and screamed all the time. Construction was going on that started at 8am every morning of our stay.
Location was perfect! Right next to the bean and sears tower!
Price of breakfeast was expensive but well worth it.
The grandness of the lobby The vintage architecture How interesting the property was Attached parking garage
Lacked expected amenities such as a microwave, mini fridge, mp3 player although it list the mp3 player on the website. Ice machine didn't work. Customer service person, Dana, was totally unresponsive. Hotel mgr., Shirley corrected problems very well. Hair in my food while dining at the 720 Restaurant. Again, their mgr. made it right, but shouldn't have to go through that hassle.
Not having free wifi. Parking cost was expensive.
Delay to deposit the money back to my bank account
We had two bathrooms in the room. The rate was good. The front desk staff were very nice and the bar is nice too.
Old property in need of maintenance, huge hotel, a bit far from everything.
Went for the Cowboy/Bears game! Close to Soldier Field! Hotel Bar was so much fun before and after the game!! And really good hamburgers!! Hotel staff was great! Overall a wonderful weekend!
Not a thing!!
Personnel very courteous
Room carpet ols and worn. No free wifi in the rooms.
Very historical hotel, can feel the taste of history.
But it's really not that comfortable compare to modern hotels.
locations historical value-grew up in chi and left 45 yrs back-have been recording and touring the world ever since-always nice to come back and see the sites I grew up with eat a hotdog play a gig and blow
I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. The service was great and polite and very helpful.
Checking in was a little slow
Walking distance to south shore station, Thanksgiving Day parade, and shopping area.
There were 2 bathrooms in my bedroom and they were very clean, room was amazingly clean and odourless unlike some old hotels that have smelly carpets.
The heater in the room was not working well as it couldn't be adjusted for some reasons ,and it was snowing out there and left us freezing cold.
Fairly decent location.
- Staff at front desk were very unhelpful and rude when asked for any form of assistance. - Staff were clinical and unapproachable. - Hotel was completely over priced. I have stayed in better 3star hotels. - Most things in the hotel room were broken, such as heating, shower head and light switches. - Amendments were of poor quality and the room did not include a safe. - Cleanliness of room was surprisingly shocking. Bed sheets did not appear to be changed on a daily basis and hair was found in the bed on the first day of arrival. - The only helpful members of staff was the handy who had to be called in several times to fix the heating and the shower head.
Unfortunately there was a very large conference going on during my stay, which made it impossible to get a seat in any of the bars or the coffee shop, which was disappointing as there were many other people staying there as well.
All staff were great and the location is perfect for down town.
Filming a TV show in the lobby for 2 days made entry confusing and unwelcoming. Room decor is a bit dated but functional.
Within walking distance of all the main attractions & shopping areas. Staff at the Information desk were excellent. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.
