Clean and comfortable room.
On a Sunday night I was woken up several times between the time of 1am-4am group of people hanging out in the hallway drinking. Very annoying.
Everything was great, will be back again
New updated and clean room, early check in, upgrade, and breakfast-pats to be a Hilton member!
Temperature was scorching hot in our room-couldn't turn it down.
Nice lobby and room Quick checkin
normally stay at the Hilton on Michigan; but was surprisingly blown away by the location, building, and room at the Palmer house. Defiantly worth the money and staff was wonderful. I will be coming back!
Free wifi would be nice by now
Walking distance to theater. Nice lake view.
Room thermostat not working. Room got very warm. Notified staff, nothing done.
The location was excellent
The bed was stiff
It was clean. It was within walking distance of our destination. There was a parking lot with cheaper rates right next door.
The thermostat in the room didn't work and it was like a sauna all night. The traffic was loud and my small son complained all night he couldn't sleep (I didn't either.) The bathroom was understocked with towels. And, there was no channel on the television for children. Not a big deal unless you have small children with you who think watching a movie in bed at the hotel is a big treat.
location for museums, shopping, and a hockey game was excellent. Breakfast included was nice. Easy in and out valet service.
the pool was not clean.....wanted to use it, but chose not to.
room service charged us 90$ for a meal we didn't even eat because we had to send it back! It was all cold and horrible! Our blinds didn't work, our remote was broken, we had a hole in our bathroom wall, we had BED BUGS & dried blood stains on our blankets. This was a waste of money and completely ruined our entire trip!
Poor tv cable options for an international hotel, poor breakfest options for the price, very poor toilet paper in the bathroom(bad quality), the shower area is very dark (no insid light)...
The pool was big, warm, and clean along with the jacuzzi's. The room itself was very clean and the beds were small but very comfy!
The rooms and bathrooms were too small. Also, there was no refrigerator or microwave in the rooms.
The buffet for breakfast was good.
No free Wifi in the room.
Historical hotel right next to Millennium Park and downtown area.
NO free Wi-fi in this day and age in a hotel that seems to have everything going for them seems pretty cheap.
My fiancé and I stayed here for our anniversary this year to try something different and I think this will be the winner next year, the staff was very friendly and eager to help. The restaurants downstairs were really good,we had drinks at the kitty osheas Irish pub and it was a very good experience with excellent drinks and to top it all off you cannot beat the price for this upscale hotel!
There was no mini fridge in the room like stated on the description.
Irish pub, gal from Ireland was very nice, also front desk gal was also an outstanding employee
Small room in disrepair, heat didn't work. Tv controller didn't work, restaurant on the hotel website the firehouse, we went to it and it had burned down a month ago, walked back in the cold. Toilet is loud, the walls are thin, we know we heard the orgasm in the next room. I could go on but you get the idea.
Excellent customer service. The staff was both friendly and accommodated my every need.
A little disappointed with the room. It appeared the previous guest smoked in the room and there was no mini-fridge, had to request one. Also, housekeeping should have done a better job in cleaning from previous guest - a couple of small item, hair band on floor and a bottle cap left in desk chair.
Didn't like that with the amount spent for the room that there wasn't free wifi
We had a great time in this historic hotel ... Friendly, professional staff, and our accommodating room had lovely views.
The views from the hotel are gorgeous. There is always a taxi waiting out front, and its quick to get around town.
The heat didn't work for 2 nights in our room. They sent three service men in two days before they admitted that it was totally broken. This was especially bad since it got down to as low as 3 degrees outside! They finally moved rooms after 2 nights of our 3 night stay, and offered only a free breakfast as compensation. Terrible.
Set up of the room!
The view was Blocked buy a building. I dint receive a Veterans discount. On the day of my departure I had to pay an additional 55$ to park my car. I paid for the room why should I have to pay for parking as well.
The hotel is an excellent historical building, common areas are beautiful and the service perfect. Location is also perfect to visit the city's downtown, in the heart of the loop and closo to main attractions.
Payment Wi-fi is a minus for an hotel like this; also the parking policy is not clear enough and might be confusing since it was not clarified at the moment of booking that parking was available at extra rate (over 50$ per day).
Everything was perfect the location and the friendliness of the employees were excellent
