Great room, close to every where we needed to be, glamorous ambience and the best wait staff at the bar no matter the time! I fell in love with Cincinnati and this hotel had a lot to do with it!
The decor in the breakfast buffet contradicts the lovely decor elsewhere. Petty - yes but you asked!

Overall, everything was excellent
The airconditioner/fan was right next to the bed. When it was running, it chilled the bed. When it turned off, it got warm. I was, however, anxious about our trip starting on the American Queen and sometimes, sleep isn't easy.
We spent our wedding night there in 1983. It was nostalgic for us and it is a beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of Cincinnati. The staff is great.
We had two showers. One didn't work at all and the other wouldn't drain. We had to call housekeeping twice to get linens for the sofa bed. Paint is peeling off of baseboards and there appeared to be water damage.
Charged you hidden costs and rooms were small. Noisy hotel for small children to sleep.
This is a really beautiful hotel. It has great beds and the hotel bar has tasty drinks.

We actually liked the old style look to the hotel. It was clean, friendly, comfortable environment.
Front desk Staff-Annie? overheard us talking about our stay coinciding with our 33 anniversary, and sent to our room chocolate covered strawberries and bottled water and a sweet card. Then next day we ran into her on the street and she recognized us and wanted to be sure our stay was as good as we expected. You should be proud of a top notch employee like her.
The location was really the only thing great about our stay. There was only one plesent girl that worked at the desk that helped us when we checked in. The other staff members at the desk did not seem like they liked there job. And one of the whole reasons I booked with you guys was to use the hot tub due to a painful disorder I have and it was not opened. I'm not sure for the money we spent there for just 3 nights that we would ever stay again.
Hot tub was closed. I booked there hoping to use it due to a painful body disorder I have. There was only one nice girl at the desk that helped us when we checked in. The rest of the staff at the desk were short with you and it appeared they hated there job. Wasn't thrilled with our room. It needs updating. We had wall paper that was coming off the wall in our room. For the money we spent in just 3 night not to sure I would go back.
The brunch was fantastic. You must try the Sunday brunch.
The photos are misleading. Very small rooms. Poorly remodeled, no attention to detail. Tacky outdated interiors, prints, fabrics and fixtures. The room did not follow the historic theme of the hotel. Lipstick stain on the drinking glasses in the room ( didnt Hilton watch that 20/20 episode? ) Dusty furniture, and leftover hair from last visitor in bathroom. Front desk manager was not really concerned. Recurring theme- not enough help. They did give us free champagne for our grievances. Hilton you are no longer worth the extra money for this type of "luxury". Go to the Hyatt or 21C.

The hotel is in a great location. There were a lot of great activities and eateries within a few blocks. The staff was very pleasant. The rooms were large and comfortable.
The only downside is thay there is a lot of construction downtown and some of the noise came through. We were there on a Monday morning and you could hear some of the heavy equipment working beginning at 7 a.m.
Make sure to use valet for parking. It was an adventure getting from parking lot to hotel with luggage.
I am a former hotel manager who worked in luxury properties for 20 years. The front desk staff was exceptional. Every one of them ! The restaurant was outstanding - the food and the quality of service was superb. And I'm not prone to shout out superlatives !
The room was tired. I know it's an older historic hotel, but the room itself could use a cosmetic facelift. There was nothing particular wrong - it was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was well furnished with amenities. There was just no wow factor.

The history of the building was fantastic. We really loved the art deco styling. Morgan at the bar was wonderful, and even got my wife a piece of cake since we were there celebrating her birthday. Elevators were fast and always just a few seconds away.
We had a corner room that was a little small compared to the other Fountain Square area hotels. Seemed to be priced higher as well.

Historic, beautiful building (arrange for a tour, it is worth it). Excellent location for sporting events and Taste of Cincinnati. Staff was fantastic.
Pay extra for parking and internet. High hotel taxes. Lacks a good place to load and unload bags unless you are using valet parking for $30/night. Thin walls, loud sex in the next room. Rooms and bathrooms are smallish.
Friendly staff including the hotel bar.
Comforter on the bed was dirty and the room was not even swept.
