very bad air conditionning
The staff was eager to help
Sheets were stained and we had to call the staff to change them twice. Room decoration was poor. The room door was short(!) and did not close properly! For the name of the hotel and price construction, quality and facilities were poor.
Everything! Great Location...CLEAN, Friendly Staff. A short walk to anything.
Water Pressure was low on the 22 floor. Double your shower time.
quiet, fast check in, and surrounded by good food
elevators a little slow (par for the course in NYC) Empire Steak House (Hotel restaurant) really not worth it - plenty of other good options
location is so good, 5 min. walk to time square. room is clear
bathroom door is sliding door and not closing good.it is not good. air condition works so loud all day and night.
Staff were very helpful, the housekeepers did an excellent job, and there were washing machines for guest use (very inexpensive).
It was good to have a restaurant and bar on the premises, but they were very expensive. (There was a great cafe across the street - where we had delicious and affordable breakfasts.)
Sadly a terrible experience. The sign is so small that the taxi driver did not see it, we spent close to 40 minutes looking for the place. I had to rebook my original stay, I did it by phone, when I arrived to front desk they did not have record of my reservation, so I did not get my 2 bed room, but 1 king bed instead... I left really early the first morning (before 7am) and when I got back to the hotel at 9pm they hadn't done my room (no trash was collected, the bed was not made, towels were not changed)... I called front desk and they said I must have left the "do not disturb sign on the door", no, I did not... no explanation or apology was ever given to me... I needed to book airport pick up for the next morning, and they could not do it because it was too late (9pm)... so, sadly, not a good experience at all, not worth the money you pay for tiny room and poor service.
Very nice staff members Quiet area
I reserved the king room with city view. But when we arrived to the check in counter, the staff said we have reserved only the regular king room. Fortunately we had the reservation printed out in paper. In the end we got the king room( but for me it is a queen size bed) with the disable access. This made me realize the reservation from the internet service does not meet the picture as it is.
Air com in the room was very poor: very noisy and could not be adjusted. Elevators really poor: one could wait ten or more minutes for one (staff said that it does not always stop at particular floors!).
From d moment u meet d valet who helps u til d end when u leave. Friendly staff all d way, fair price, internet acess nothing 2 complain. By d way and location 5 mins walk from time square for that price was awesome!
Bathroom's door .
*Staff friendly & helpful *Location *Coffee supplies *King bed very comfortable *Very Clean
*A/c noisy *On/off switch not accessible unless authorised staff. *So for air it's a choice of either a noisy a/c or window open (in centre of lively Manhatten). *We did not sleep well due to this. *Room costs are charged automatically to the card on hold, as soon they reach $1500. *This was not explained upon check in. *Waited a long time for lifts. *Doors bang, so corridor on floor noisy & disturbs sleep. *Wifi is free but needs to be authorised @24hrs. Should be seamless for entire stay. *Wasted products. Soap used only once replaced each day? *No body shower gel in room amenities.
The friendliness of the staff, they served cheerfully and were very supportive. Rooms were ready on time and food was available no matter how late -24hrs ministore. I look forward to another stay at this hotel.
None - I was happy all the way.
Ideal location and professional staff
Could hear toilets flushing from other units in the morning, a bit noisy. Didn't ask for a handicap bathroom, but got one anyway without tub (not really a big deal, it just took some time to figure out the different shower heads).
The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn was great and really made you feel good. The hotel is perfectly located. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone!
very loud air conditioner operation, there were a fire alarm, breakfast not included
Great location friendly helpful staff
Convenient location Facilities clean
The rooms are very small for two people carrying luggage. Wardrobe space a minimum and I note you refer to kitchen facilities - I don't think a small coffee maker on a very tight shelf and a microwave make a kitchen. There were no knives, forks, spoons etc......so I don't believe it should be referred to as kitchen facilities.
It was raining after we arrived by train and they held our backpacks for us until our room was ready and we had to wait more than 2 hours cold and wet in our room for a change of clothes.
I think though the when making the booking all potential costs should be included such a other taxes in the quote
Location (thumbs up) - close to central park, times square and average walking distance to Madison avenue
The room is too small, the AC is too noisy couldn't get enough sleep plus our room was between the two elevators lol our room was suppose to be an elevator maybe :P Couple of the staff in the front desk were not friendly not ALL only couples the others were wonderful.
Room is very small
Great stay and the staff was Incredibly helpful and pleasant
My wife and I were in town for 3 nights to attend a wedding. Immediately upon entering the hotel we were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. Every time we passed the front desk with our comings and goings we received the same enthusiasm. As this was our first trip to New York we weren’t necessarily sure of how to navigate to certain destinations and the staff was extremely helpful in helping us figure this out. The room was clean and comfortable and attended to on a daily basis. While we were in town for pleasure we did use the very nice business center to check in for our departing flight and print our boarding passes the day prior to leaving.
There wasn't much we didn't like; but a few things could be improved. The free Wifi was very slow and I just ended up using my mobile data instead of trying to struggle through waiting for the Wifi. The elevators (3 of them) seemed rather slow, this could be the result of the 20+ floors that are in the building but they still seemed to take quite a while. The bathroom door was interesting. I like the look and understand the need for the sliding barn door style (not a pocket door) based on space but it does limit privacy in the bathroom as there are gaps on each side of the door when it is closed. For my wife and I it was fine and maybe most people staying there are couples that would be fine with it but if you like privacy while going to the bathroom or showering it’s a little less private than a swinging or pocket door.
