The credit card I used to book our stay online through Booking.com was not the card I wished to pay with at the end of our stay. Which I figured was okay because the website disclaimer said "this card is only used to hold your booking, it will not be charged". However, when we got there, they charged this credit card anyway and when we said we wanted to change it, they said that was not possible through the hotel and that we would need to call Booking.com. After 30 mins on hold and some confusion in explaining the situation to the customer service agent, the woman from Booking.com said that what the hotel desk said about not being able to change the card was wrong, that they should be able to easily change it. She called them and spoke to the front desk and said it was all cleared up. I go to the front desk to change the card, finally, and they again tell me they can't do it. After talking to their boss (?) twice, they finally, begrudgingly, change the card to charge the reservation. With one swipe of the new card. Not hard at all. I have no clue why the hotel desk gave us such a run around and was unhelpful in this apparently easy switch. If it wasn't such a convenient downtown location we wouldn't go back.
The hotel has a great location and is clean, has all the amenities you would want (gym, pool, business room, breakfast, etc.).
