Could easily walk to the outlets in the center of town
Right next to the train tracks but the train was really really quiet - not an issue although it worried me as we were right over the tracks.
Steps in hot tub were difficultvtp use. Too small.
Slow internet in comp room, difficulty to connect to WiFi.
Everything offered by this Hilton was outstanding including but not limited to the fine folks that support both the front and back of the house.
Not a thing!
We loveFreeport and everyone at the Hilton Garden Inn was very nice.
It is a bit over priced.
Include breakfast .
Very nice place. The outdoor fireplace was very relaxing
Really wish the restaurant/bar could have been open later. We never got in until 9:30 and there was no place to eat. Front desk said the whole town pretty much shuts down at 9.
perfectly located. walking distance for dining, shopping.
No coffee available in the main lobby...and no water. Hard to control the room temperature.
Outdoor fireplace and sitting area
Handy to airport
Price! While at hotel found room for half price I paid at same hotel. Hall noisy. Next room noisy. Charge for wifi! Get real.
We arrived after 9:00 and the hotel was hosting the high school prom so parking was at a premium. That made us not want to leave the premises to go and get food. The young woman who was bartending was very helpful and accommodating. She served us a drink and suggested we get a sandwich from the pantry and eat it in her area while she and her co-worker were shutting down. I might mention that there were several other people there -- parents waiting on their kids attending the prom. The "manager" freaked out at this suggestion. She kept harping on the fact that it was after closing time and yada, yada, yada. This was a complete turnaround in customer service. So we compliment the young woman and do not have good things to say about the manager.
The location was great and within easy walking to all stores and restaurants. Ample parking while we were there.
The room we stayed in was dark and gloomy and looked as though it used to be another hotel and they just slapped a coat of paint on the walls when Hilton acquired it. No fan in the bathroom which was horrible when taking a shower. You literally have to crank the AC to try to keep the mirror from fogging up. We had a view of the rooftop ventilation system. We asked if we had a nice room when checking in and the girl said "yes" which is untrue unless the other rooms are even worse. If I'm ever disappointed, I usually complain to the front desk/manager but my wife was recovering from a recent surgery and not feeling well so I did not want any more tension. Food was "ok" ...like the room. Not sure if I would stay again. Especially after asking for a nice room and getting a bad one ESPECIALLY FOR ALMOST $200 A NIGHT.
Location to shopping
Staff was excellent, the breakfast area is great, it is only one block from Main Street, straight down the hill from. LLBean. Beautiful landscaping with an outdoor fire pit.
Hotel overall very clean. Great location in the heart of downtown Freeport. Staff were very professional and check in was efficient.
As we were packing up and I was checking to make sure we weren't leaving anything, found old bottle caps and other debris under beds. It didn't look as though they vacuumed regularly.
staff were excellent, very comfortable rooms.
Location , decor , clean, great staff
When we had to leave :-(
The train going by, yes it a quiet train, but at wake up time it was just enough
The feeling and security of comfort. The close prox. of shopping. It was beautiful when you enter, and the decor was wonderful.
The lobby area was nicely decorated, Seating areas were comfortable. Bedrooms were lovely and spacious. Staff was gracious and helpful.
That the pool was closed.
Beds very comfy...food very good.
Bit surprised with having our room next to the Am track train tracks. Noisy when the train rumbled by!
the hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly.
parking lot was a bit icy, but they had a big storm the day before
The room was very clean and in great condition. Staff was friendly and informative. Thought the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent.
We had to leave so soon.
Room furnishings, coffee available all the time Friendly staff Omelet was excellent
I misread website, thought breakfast was to be free. Just because my husband ate two excess sausages on my plate, waitress implied that she would not charge him for breakfast , give me a break
