Hilton Garden Inn Houston/Bush Intercontinental Airport  

The pillows and the bed were so comfortable and I loved laying in a hot bath after a long road trip! And everyone should try the short ribs in the restaurant. Yum!

That I didn't think to bring a swimsuit!

Hotel is under renovation, work starts at 08:00am, very very loud. Checkin was horrible, room not ready at 9:45pm. Assigned a new room at 10pm. Room clock was set an hour back, no room service after 10pm so starve if you have a late flight, lunch is only available in the restaurant, room service is closed for lunch.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean...my biggest concern.

The staff could not seem to keep up with the activity going on at the desk. The phones were ringing off the hook and finally someone just cut off the phones. There were people in line for a long time. We called for a wake up call for the next morning that never arrived. There was a time change that night and if we hadn't woke up ourselves since we were concerned about catching our early flight out that morning...we would have missed our flight by hours. We actually told the man at the desk when we got to the lobby and he just made some lame excuse. I wonder what happened to others? You had fresh cookies out when we arrived but there were so many people standing around the cookies disappeared quickly and never replenished. And we were standing there waiting for awhile. I know you're renovating and had a sign out explaining but the whole lobby took on a look that was just unappealing. Also your alarm clock did not work, luckily I had a IPhone and set the alarm on that phone plus knowing we were leaving so early we slept lightly. Also the shuttles,we were told left every half hour and when we get downstairs ten minutes before 4:00am, the man at the desk said they didn't start until 4:30...you need some coordination between your hotel and the shuttles. So the man at the desk didn't know what to do...finally we saw the shuttle man walk in as the shuttle was sitting infront of the hotel and we asked him if he would take us to the airport. At first he acted quite unhappy and didn't think he could, but after he went off somewhere he appeared just a couple minutes later and said he would drive us. We tipped him happily as the man at the desk said he was trying to get a cab but no one would answer...he's the one who what to do about the "wake up calls".

The front door was locked and we knocked loud with no answer had to call the keys to our room did not worked
