Nothing comes to mind!
The fact that I was in New York.
Parking...and the check in was very awkward and inconvenient.
This is the second time we've stayed here and I'd happily stay here again. Good location, friendly staff and comfortable beds.
Decent sized room for NY (two double beds and still plenty of space for all our shopping). The decor is a bit basic and dated but it's clean and comfy. Bathroom was also a decent size and the shower was good. We were only on the third floor but didn't hear traffic noise. We didn't hear any other guests either unless they were loud in the corridor and that's the fault of those ignorant individuals rather than the hotel. Front desk staff are just wonderful. They were all, without exception, friendly and helpful from the minute we stepped in the door. Fabulous value for money - $850 for three nights. Free wifi that actually works, although you do have to log in everyday. Good location - you can walk to Century 21, Soho, Canal Street and the subway stop is right outside. Microwave, Keurig coffee maker and empty fridge in the room. AOA bar next door is good in the evenings for a drink before dinner. The famous Nancy Whiskey Bar across the road has shuffleboard!
The breakfast at AOA next door was revolting and over priced. And the service was bad (different staff from hotel). Don't bother, pop out and find a deli, there are loads of options nearby.
Staff was helpful and friendly.
Elevator seemed in need of repair.
I liked that the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would not reccamend the valet services tho they were pricey in comparison to other places we found after we arrived
My husband and I got very little sleep the 2 nights that we stayed at this hotel. There were renovations going on in the building next door. The garbage rolloffs would be picked up and dropped off at 3 am then another would be delivered right after that, The workers would then come and start slamming things in hte bin at the beginning of the work day. It was horrble.
Staff service; size of room; cleanliness
Very high cost
Location and the staff checking us in and out. They were extremely helpful and service minded.
The expensive rate. The Fact that hotel blocked us out of room due to credit card payment block for amenities and extras (which we certainly did not have anything of) without contacting us. And even if it is policy Then the manager should have had the courtesy to inform us prior to locking us out of our room. It feels very uncomfortable to be asked if you have other means of payment knowing that limit was not reached yet. Probably last time I stay here.
The staff was particularly friendly and accommodating.
The room said there was a view and our room faced a building and we could see nothing except a brick wall
We have stayed here four times as it is convenient for visits to family who live at Battery Park. We love the area, great restaurants, shopping and not far from Whole Foods. Bonus of being able to have meals in room with tea/coffee maker, microwave and fridge, keeps us coming back.
Gets expensive when you stay for two weeks as we have done.
Biggest draw for me is the location; in TriBeCa and right next it the subway for easy access uptown. Staff here are friendly and very helpful.
The room I stayed in needed an update; furnishings were tired and doors into the room and to the bathroom both needed a hefty shove to open, the wardrobe door was so stuck it emitted a howling screech when opening (essential to access the safe). The room was small (I know it's New York) and too dark. These may seem minor but for $500 + taxes a night it was way overpriced. Other rooms may be better and for a lesser price tag I wouldn't be as critical.
The location was perfect for walking and subway access. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were upgraded to a room with a larger bed. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room and the bathroom.
Not unexpectedly, there was no view from the window - not a problem since we spent little more than an hour in the room awake. If we were being very picky, we like to sleep in a cooler room and the AC in this one ran from the time we checked in through the night without ever getting the room down to the lowest temp setting of 66F. Five hours after check-in with the AC on full blast, the room temp was still almost 80F - too warm.
The location of the hotel was brilliant, lots of great food and shopping nearby without the madness of midtown (but also a subway on the doorstep). The room was very clean and comfortable and staff were beyond helpful - the front of house staff were so friendly and went out of their way in helping us get to the airport on our last day and held our bags for free after we checked out. We will definitely be back!
Our room was right by the lift so we did get a bit of noise of people coming and going, but that's all part of the NYC experience!
Friendly and helpful staff.
very good for 2 or 4 to visit New York Good price/quality Most of staf is very nice. We are family of 5.
Booking site says extra bed must be confirmed by management. Request for extra bed in reservation was not answered. First we could not get extra bed. After an hour we were offered extra bed. It was not easy to get confirmation for extra bed. We almost changed our booking
The location was great The subway station is just besides the hotel The staffs are nice Relatively cheap
The air conditioner is a little bit noisy
Room Size and the services for the money. The bed was highly uncomfortable, although the engineer fixed it but could not rectify it fully. so the long stay of 10 days was highly uncomfortable.thanks to the management.
Very clean and courteous staff.
Location, staff, efficient
No water in room, disturbed by housekeeping in middle of night (mix up of rooms I guess). No in/out for valet parking
Staff was great, very clean, and close to all the fun
Near subways, took us to ware we wanted to be! The Hilton Garden was great value for money, great location, busy but not to busy.
Subway few steps away from hotel. Easy access to both downtown and uptown. I liked the complementary coffee.
No european plug adaptor. No minibar.
Great hotel, amazing location and very helpful staff. The room was big and clean. We had to stay an additional night as our flight was cancelled and the manager let us stay in the same room at a very good price. Comps teas and coffes available both in the room and in the hall.
The first floor room faced a very busy and noisy street and even with the double glazed window we could still hear the traffic noise and even the tube trains. We would go as again but would definitely ask for a room in the upper floors and possibly not facing Avenue of the Americas.
