Location +++ Value Clean Fast check in/out
Wifi needs improvment
We upgraded to a room with a view of the Empire State Building. Friendly staff. Decent work out room. When checking in, the computer system was down. We were given free drinks for our trouble. Staff was professional and fearless
Even upgraded room was a little small
I understand this is a smaller economical hotel with limited staff but the bed was the worst sleep I've ever experienced. I gently complained, I not so gently complained, nothing happened, nothing changed. Sleep is paramount on my business trips and I will let everyone know this bed is terrible regardless of what is advertised!
Zero resolution to my bed situation - continuously passed the buck to the next person or shift. I'll never recommend this hotel to anyone and I'll publicly let everyone know it's terrible!
Very Good Service Very good view to the Empire Building
location. reasonable price
Unable to get the TV to work. It would be a huge improvement to get guests in to their rooms before 3:00 pm. Guests don't even get a full 24 hours for their stay
overall a good experience, would go there also for the second time however...
...Heating is bad in the rooms and a lot of ut gets lost through the windows and doors. The room felt a bit cold.
We found the room perfect for our needs: clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a great view of the NY skyline. We looked forward to returning to our room each evening. We had stayed the week before in a very expensive NY hotel (with no views) that was noisy, cramped, and in need of basic repairs. The Hilton Garden Inn is great value! We will return.
Everything was great!
Location near Empire State Building. (and Macy's) Room with city view was worth the few dollars extra. Great view of Empire State from window. Concierge assistance with taxi was helpful. Housekeeping was top notch.
Friendly staff!! Quick response to all requests.
Great concierge service and Patrick at the bar is a excellent representative for the hotel
This hotel is in a great central location, being near Macys and Times square. Also the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The most surprising benefit was how quiet the hotel room was given how busy hotel and NY is.
As you would expect in the middle of bustling city the room was a little on the small side, but as a base perfect.
The staff was helpful but their hands were tied.
The largest complaint I had was I was told there was a parking agreement with the parking garage. I had my stub validated and the garage said no contract with them. Cost me $90.00 for 2 days extra. No parking on site to unload and no help with luggage. I had to carry luggage over a block from parking garage. The curb in front was covered with taxis, which sat there for long periods of time. I will never stay here again. I am so disappointed. It was a special time our granddaughters 18th birthday. She seemed disappointed with the troubles we were having.
Staff is friendly the fact they can hold laguage till you are ready to leave
rooms are not ready at 12. no water in the fridge no breakfast.
Location, and price.
On the 2nd floor and slept like a baby all night. Room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful. Free coffee in the morning, luggage room and water. Made the trip super easy. Location is perfect.
Not sure how, but we got an excellent price. Nice room, good size, comfortable.
Too much air freshener used in the room, had to leave the window open for hours. Would have been nice if there were stir sticks and sugar with the coffee maker. Bottom sheet was too tight/small and kept slipping off. Minor problems, wouldn't stop us form going back.
The location was good.
The room was very small.
The location was excellent! Wifi was from very good quality. And what a view. We had a room with the Empire State in front of us.
Nothing. Maybe the elevator could operate more faster.
Location was excellent, walking distance to all major Manhattan landmarks. Room was comfortable if a little small for two queen sized beds.
Concierge was rude and not particularly helpful when asked about timing of taxis to the airport. As an experienced traveller I have certainely met more helpful staff at other hotels. Allow plenty of time when you are waiting for the lift, it is old, slow and small and took at least 20 minutes each day to arrive at our floor.
I enjoyed the location of this hotel, with a very friendly staff. The rooms were very clean, and I was happy to have a Keurig Machine with K-Cups included right in our room.
I thought the bed was very uncomfortable, just way too hard for my liking. I was also VERY upset that they did not offer room service when the website clearly stated that they did offer it. My husband and I traveled to the city with our young son and specifically wanted a hotel that offered room service so we did not have to take him to any restaurants, as it is hard to keep him entertained in a seat for a long period of time. Not having the room service was very upsetting to us, a huge inconvenience and we would probably never stay at this hotel again because of this.
i liked everything about the hotel it was very beautiful interior and the hotel room decor was just great
the prices for room service that was not avalible And when trying to re-book the prices was extremley high when you are a member and it promotes discounted rates ... the staff were okay except 1 that was worrying about our race
My room was changed without any fuss. The first room was not clean and was scruffy. The second room was newly refurbished and very comfortable.
